Summary: Alright, Listen Up You Primitive Screwheads!
Review: Ah...what a beautiful film. Completely manic and semi-idiotic, but beautiful in it's own strange way. Sam Raimi, who is an awesome director (check out Spider-Man if you need proof), certainly did a fine job with this little gem. The sometimes horrible special effects just make this movie even more lovable. And the one-liners! Glorious! Unfortunately for me, the Boomstick Edition, which apparently has both the director's cut (aka Bootleg Edition version) and the original, came out shortly after I got this version. *sigh, looks like it's off to the nearest Sam Goody for me. Anyway, this version still rocks, so I'd recommend it if only for the case and the look of the DVD, great touch.

Summary: Why?...
Review: This is one of the greatest comedy/horror movies ever, taking the bizzareness of Bruce Campbell and some... "interesting" special effects scenes and combining them to make a movie which can only be called "wierd, but in a good way."

Unfortunately I didn't buy the right DVD of this great movie. This version may contain the original ending, but it left out the other, alternate ending, which in my mind was about as funny as the original ending. It didn't seem to have many special features, which I do remember the version I rented having (although I had things to do, so I didn't get to watch them). If you want to get this movie, I don't think this would be the version you want.

Summary: Deadites Rule
Review: If your looking for a great movie that kicks, well my friend this may be the one, did i say may I mean will!!
The movie starts off with a medieval twists and weird sci fi opening that is great. He is trapped in time with some weirdos who criticize everything he does but do it because he has a shotgun, and awesome chainsaw attached to his arm,and a hot chick to follow! There are numerous fight scenes ,and hilarious one liners from the movie. Comedy horror which is one of the best movies trust me !

Summary: If you're a true Evil Dead Fan, you need this movie!
Review: I reccomend the bootleg dvd version, because it's so worth it! I cannot stress it enough, this is my least favorite out of the three, but I've seen it at least 6 times now. Oh, and if you get the bootleg dvd version, it has the origional ending- you need both endings! I got the vhs with the regular ending first and didn't realize there was another ending until I watched the dvd. Of course now I'm a big Evil Dead fan.

Summary: More from the master
Review: Sam is a bada$$. In this third chapter of the Evil Dead trilogy, he sets up Bruce fully into his wise-a$$ Ash character. You can see the Three Stooges influences in the graveyard scene. Chock full of puppet skeletons, and fire-hose blood gushing, this movie lands right on top of the B movie pile. Hail to the King, baby.

Summary: Brand new edition of one of my top 3 favorites! Woohoo!
Review: Army of Darkness is one of the cheesiest movies of all time, but that way because it was supposed to be not because it lacks talented actors, writers or anything else. It's the highest budget movie of the Evil Dead serious and easily the cheesiest. The Boom stick edition is cool because it includes both the Directors cut and the US theatrical version, which are different in enough ways to be worthy of separate disks. I prefer the US Theatrical version, its not only the one a grew up with but its ending is cooler than the directors cut. This action/comedy/horror is a vital piece to anyone's DVD library.

Army Of Darkness is about Ash, the one liner spouting tough guy with a chainsaw for a hand. Ash is transported to medieval times, where a great evil has covered the land. All Ash really wants is a ride home, but these people need a savior and it seems as though he might just fit the bill. Groovy.

Summary: Great movie, buy a different DVD version though
Review: Buyers beware. This is the orginal version of the movie and contains only the original ending, not the S-mart ending. There are other minor things that are also different but I cannot recall. Not a bad dvd but there isn't anything on this one that you can't find on the boomstick edition or any other special edition version that hascome out.

Summary: A great horror themed action / comedy.
Review: While Army of Darkness is a very worthy sequel to Evil Dead II, it's also a very different movie. Where Evil Dead II was a comedy horror, Army of Darkness is more of an action comedy with a horror theme. However, it's an extremely good action comedy.

Bruce Campbell yet again hits his mark perfectly. This time he's not simply trying to survive; He's a war tested vet of evil and quite ticked off about it. He takes care of the dead with a gleam in his eye and spouts off one liners that would even make Arnold Schwarzenegger take notice.

The only flaw in this otherwise wonderful flick is probably the big battle. It's just too drawn out and fake, but this isn't exactly Lord of the Rings after all. It's not too bad really and the original ending caps things off with absolute perfection. This movie has by far the best ending scene and line I've ever heard in a movie.

Summary: "Groovy"
Review: Not to sound like a 70's hippie, but this movie really is "Groovy." Here is my lineup for the Evil Dead movies in greatest to worst. We start #1 with Evil Dead 2:DBD. Then #2 with Army of Darkness. And last we have #3 with The Evil Dead. Evil Dead 2 was when Bruce Campbell really shined, but in here, he shines a little bit more of his comedic and brave side in his character. I gave the first one at #3 because I found it boring, but I still enjoyed it. I'm a huge fan of the Evil Dead series and will be forever. Now, onto the review of this beautiful and excellent DVD.

Anchor Bay, Sam Raimi, and anyone iffiliated with the Evil Dead trilogy, have now given us a so much better deal on Army of Darkness. Instead having to spend around forty something dollars, you only spend about half that on The Boomstick Edition, and you get the Theatrical U.S. Cut version of the film which runs at 81 min., and you get the Director's Cut which runs at 96 min. Theatrical's picture and sound are top notch but doesn't include the cool deleted scenes and the alternate ending. The Director's Cut gives us a fair picture with fair sound and includes all the deleted scenes and alternate ending. Plus, on the Director's Cut, you get 4 more deleted scenes and a good as Evil Dead 2 commentary, storyboards, and a monster gallery.

Fans of the Evil Dead trilogy will appreciate and cherish this ultimate DVD edition of Army of Darkness. You get two movie for the price of one! What better deal is that!? The movie is filled with Bruce Campbell's best one-liners and cheesy, hilarious acting, and awesome brave hero action with Bruce Campbell against the skeleton army and his evil self. So, fans of Evil Dead, hurry up and pick up Army of Darkness: The Boomstick Edition up right now, immediately! It's the one of the best things thats happened to the trilogy.

P.S. For more awesome Evil Dead fun, play the Evil Dead:Fistfull of Boomstick game for PS2. It's really fun and awesome!

Summary: Good thing it's back.
Review: It was only a matter of time before they re-released a double DVD of this movie. The first one "Army of Darkness - Collector's edition" only had a 30,000 run. ... This double DVD is the same print as the limited edition version.

If you like Campy horror comedy movies, were a fan of the Hercules, Xena, Cleopatra 2525/Jack of All Trades TV series, or just like Sam Raimi or Bruce Campbell... just buy this and rest assured that you have one of the most beloved cult classics ever created.
