Review: A good slasher film. A bit cheesy in parts by over-all a ... good horror movie to add to one's collection. Don't expect to be scared senseless, I don't think that was the idea of the movie. Just settle back and enjoy a lovely romp of slashing - plus a nice twist...

Summary: Holy Moly! It didn't suck as bad as I had anticipated.
Review: Alright. My wife picked this out at the video store, and I failed to look to see what it was. We pop it in the old DVD player and out comes this crazy, Japanese, shot with a home video camera laiden, tv show. My first reaction was, "There is no way I am going to make it through this (...)" So, I sat and watched for a bit longer. The main characters show up and the horrific acting begins. From the get-go you can pick out who is going to win, who is going to die, and even who the crazy one is. Enter the "slashers." I have to say that the "slashers" are the only reason I kept watching. After the movie ended, I was sitting there astonished at how much I liked it. I tried to hate it, however, couldn't help but like it. The thought has actually crossed my mind about buying the title. At least rent it and give it a shot.

Summary: I can't believe I like it
Review: Don't expect a Wes Craven-written, Steven Spielberg-produced cinematography-rich motion picture, and you'll have a blast. It's like a movie made for a college class assignment. Terrible acting, cheesy effects, horrible dialogue, home-made sets, all shot with home video camera splendor ... I LOVE IT!!! Just the no-stress-on-the-brain recreation one occasionally needs. Very original.

Review: For lack of better words, this movie rocked! I haven't seen a horror flick this funny since Jason X. This best part is the directing and the overall feel of the movie. And the extra features were just as great as the movie. Watching Chainsaw Charlie in an interview was hilarious. Great DVD. Super Fun!!!

Summary: A Real Suprise!
Review: I was really expecting a crappy film, and I actually found a very well executed B-Film. With almost no budget the director has created a really nice looking film. Plus the actors tend to do a decent job (some of the leads fall flat at times, but considering that the film had almost no shooting time, it's understandble). The director really succeded in making the film seem like one continuous shot, and really captures the TV show feel. Plus with his budget he created some really nice gore effects (some look a bit fake, but in the long run, are way better than most films with the same budget).
I would totally recommend this film. Great gore, decent acting, and a real great example of a low budget film succeding. See this movie.

Review: I wont lie this is one of the most cheesy horrors I have ever seen. Terrible acting + un-realistic gore = Great horror flick. It was a great horror by far, not the kind to scare you but more the kind you watch with friends at a slumber party or frat party or something. For a horror movie the plot was fantastic and believable. It was so good I actually watched all the special features and I never do that...

Summary: Surprising movie
Review: Others didn't seem to leave much detail about this movie, so I will try my best to clue you in...This movie is one of those movies where you ask yourself "What the heck is this?", than after a little while, you kinda get into it. This movie is based off of the reality shows we all know, and love (unless you are like me and can't stand them). Basically, Slashers is a reality show from China. In this episode, they have 6 American contestants on the show. If they can stay alive for the next 90 minutes, they win $12 million. Problem with that is, there are three killers with weapons chasing them around and killing them. The contestants can only use pieces of a chair, or anything else they can find as a weapon to protect themselves. Also, they can't even hide since they wear tracking devices around their necks. Not an easy game to survive. This movie is filmed like a game show to give you the feel that you are actually watching this on public television. The blood effects are so fake, you would swear they were using cherry Kool-Aid. This is not a movie to take seriously at all. It's one of those fun blood and guts films. For a low budget film, they sure did an excellent job.

Summary: Pretty Good For A Low Budget Horror Flick
Review: SOMEONE said in these reviews the acting was bad, but it's really amazing how well the acting was. Great story about a Japanese game show where six people are hunted and killed by three slashers. You'll have fun watching this movie, as it's shot in the point of view of a gameshow. And, it's full of hot Japanses girls!

Summary: Don't Expect Too Much and Be Surprised
Review: The acting is over-the-top. There are no surprises to be had with the movie. I picked the winner of this game show before they entered the "playing field" and soon figured out who the traitor would be. Still, it was very entertaining and different. I didn't expect much out of it, so I was pleasantly surprised. The quality is low, but it works in the context of this game show. And Chainsaw Charlie is pretty cool. If you don't expect too much, you should be pleasantly surprised.
