Summary: For sheer fun, "Tremors" can't be beat
Review: What a rare treat to have comedy and horror blended together so amazingly well! This movie takes a standard thriller plot (small group of colorful characters becomes trapped by monsters and must work together and use their heads to figure out how to escape) and makes it seem brand-new. The rapport between the cast members--Bacon and Ward in particular--beautifully serves an already tight script. This movie has it all: drama, excitement, laughs, creativity, scares, and yes, even our hero's search for a good woman. Don't be put off by the fact that it co-stars Michael Gross and Reba McIntyre... their characters are two of the most enjoyable in the movie! As survivalists with somewhat itchy trigger fingers, the mere concept of these two characters could have easily plunged the movie into stupidity. But this is no inane shoot-'em-up flick. The direction and script are smart, and they don't let us down. Buy "Tremors." It's a blast. You won't regret it. I promise. If you don't love it, come find me and I will personally call you a moron.

Summary: Fantastic
Review: The best movies are those in which you don't expect much and then it blows you away. I've read the other reviews and all those that are five star are on target. What can I add? Some of the banter, and curse words (that are not just the f word over and over) are orginal. The pseudoscientific stream involved with seismology, and sensitivity to sound is wonderfully written. All in all a classic tongue firmly in cheek movie.

Summary: Midnight Movie Perfection
Review: Do you remember in the 70's and 80's those local UHF Ghost Host shows that would come on every Saturday night around Midnight? Elvira is the most famous I guess, but here in the Baltimore area we had Count Gore DeVol on channel 20, or the Ghost Host on channel 45. Every week you would be treated to great schlock like "Teenagers from Outer Space" or "Attack of the Killer Shrews", and as I kid, I loved popping a big old bowl of popcorn and staying up into the wee hours watching these movies. Sadly, the days of the indy UHF stations are gone, and the Ghost Hosts are a thing of the past...but if they were still around, you can be sure "Tremors" would be in heavy rotation. This movie is just so much fun with a perfect blend of humor, action, and several pretty tense moments. Sure, "Tremors" screams B-MOVIE...and that is what is so great about it. "Tremors" doesn't take itself too seriously...and neither should you. The movie unfolds and it's a fun little ride, one that should be taken when the moon is out, when everyone else is in bed....and with a big old bowl of popcorn planted in your lap.

Summary: THE WORMS CRAWL IN
Review: TREMORS is one of modern cinema's classic sci-fi/horror movies. Blessed with an intelligent script, tight direction, a marvelous cast and startling special effects, this movie set a standard for monster films to come.
Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon have a remarkable chemistry, and it's too bad they didn't come back for the sequels. At any rate, their swaggering machismo and down to earth good guy smirks carry this movie. Add a devilishly clever Reba McEntire and Michael Gross as survivalists who have enough ammunition to fight WWIII, a down home sexiness of Finn Carter, and some really creepy worms and you have the ingredients for this classic picture. A credit to all involved, TREMORS is one film to watch again and again, it's that fun.

Summary: TREMORS!!!!
Review: In a contest for the perfect monster movie, 'Tremors' would be on top of the heap. 'Tremors' put several successful elements into one movie: characters that feel real and are easlily distinguished by their personality and uniqueness, you can really care about these people; a monster that is as frightening when it is seen as when it was not (so many monster movies disappoint when the monster is revealed, this does not disappoint): a story which is intelligent and well written: add liberal doses of humor: top it off with a pace that maintains itself from start to finish without a lag. If you are not familiar with this movie (shame on you), the story centers around the inhabitants of the small (about 2 dozen?) town of Perfection, Nevada and a college student doing tests for seismic activity. Their daily activities are interupted by what starts out as underground tremors, slaughtered sheep, and a farmer who was so frightened of something that he climbed up an electrical tower and stayed until he died of dehydration. It is soon discovered that there are undeground monsters and the townspeople must use their wits to escape or fight the monsters if escape is impossible. I have just given a teaser because I do not want to ruin it for anybody. The characters above anything are what makes this movie. They are enjoyable and well played. 'Tremors' is a fun and at times scary thrill ride that does not stop until the end; which is well worth repeated rides.-Bob

Summary: Excellent!!!!
Review: I've seen parts of this movie many times when it's shown on TV and I decided to get my own DVD 2 months ago. Since then I've probably seen it 30 times. This movie is really a classic. All the main characters are lovable and they have great chemistry together. A must have in any DVD collection.

Summary: This movie is on USA every week, but you still have to watch
Review: Even w/the cut out curses, its a great movie. You must buy this DVD. A must own in every DVD collection. One of the greatest horror/action movies of all time. It's right there w/the Evil Dead series.

I remember when it first came out it was on HBO every night, it seems like I watched it every night. Once you start watching this movie, you get hooked to the TV.

This movie is what I call a remote control stopper. You know when your channel surfing, and there's nothing on TV, and for some reason this is one of those movies that's ALWAYS on TV, for some reason you ALWAYS stop to watch it.

Its too bad Kevin Bacon didn't comeback for any of the sequels. His character mixed w/Fred Ward's character perfectly. But the whole cast was outstanding. Its amazing how well they all gelled for the type of movie and genre it is.

This is a can't miss movie, must see, must own. I recommend it to every one.

Movie Grade: A+

Summary: Guess you broke into the wrong damn rec room, didn't ya!
Review: In "Tremors," as you know, massive underground worms threaten to devour everyone in a small redneck town. I'm sure Freud would've loved it!

You'll love it too, if you have a penchant for cheerfully profane horror/comedy. "Tremors" is a delight, from the slightly bickering (and somewhat homoerotic) performances of Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward, to the offbeat casting, to the clever dialogue ("What kind of fuse is that?" "Cannon fuse." "What the hell do you use it for?" "My cannon."), to the worms themselves, which are totally convincing, if not all that scary.

It adds up to a wonderful waste of a couple hours. Is "Tremors" for you? Well, put it this way: if you're not interesting in seeing Steven Keaton and Reba McEntire blast the hell out of a massive worm from their underground arsenal, well, I just don't know how to talk to you.
