Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Beautifully Produced
Review: Of all the Jackie Chan movies, this one is truly elegant. It boasts a star-studded cast (Hong Kong stars), expansive and detailed sets, and a cohesive plot. This is a serious work that weaves humor and fighting appropriately through the story.

Summary: Stunning.
Review: Stunning in every department, Miracles cements Chan's reputation as one of cinema's greatest stars. His direction is superb and it is coupled with a number of fine performances. A must see.

Summary: Fantastic, Jackie at his best.
Review: Take a good story, add a slice of comedy, music and action plus a lttle romance and what do you get? A wonderful film called Miracles. This movie is great and with Jackie Chan directing it, well it just cannot fail to be a hit. It is a case of being in the right place at the right time for the charactor Jackie plays in it. Conned out of his last few dollars and destitute all this changes when a lady gives him a rose for luck. He finds himself the leader of one of the top mobs and goes from rags to riches. The only thing is that this gang leader will not go anywhere without the rose that he believes changed his luck. Thats when this story starts to take off so great when the rose lady needs a lot of help and Jackie and his girlfriend promise to help her out. It becomes very chaotic and is so humourous I just loved it.This movie really shows that Jackie excells at everytging he does, whether it be action, fun and a serious actor.

Summary: Jackie Chan's best movie!
Review: This is easily JC's best--great story, acting, the fight scenes are amazing---and the cinematography is brilliant!! I wish they'd re-release this in the states, so I could see it on the big screen. It would show how good Jackie really is. Consequently, I believe it's one of Jackie's favorite films too. A MUST SEE!

Summary: Jackie best all around film
Review: This is in my opinion jackies best all around film. Excellent fight choreography, well designed sets and wonderful acting. Anita Mui as his love interest is good choice. She is beautiful as well as a great singer and talented actress.

This film is a mix of the god father movies, buster keaton and an action movie in one. Highly recommended to anyone.

Summary: The Original Gangster With A Twist.
Review: This is one of Jackie Chan's funniest pre-Rush Hour films. You get a chance to see him as an actor and not only a martial artist. As usual cast members like Bill Tung, Anita Mui and Richard Ng are thrown in with hysterical results. A must for the Jackie Chan collection.

Summary: Beautifully filmed change of pace
Review: This is sort of the Jackie Chan version of a chick-flick. It doesn't contain as many action scenes as some of his other films, but what action there is, is really thrilling. The chase scene through the crowded streets of Hong Kong had me laughing out loud, and when it culminated in an unbelievable fight in a rope factory, I was once again awed by the inventiveness and daring (lunacy?) of the choreography and stunts. In between the action, however, is a really lovely movie--beautiful sets, gorgeous photography, beautiful ladies (particularly Anita Mui), fabulous costumes--this looks like a Hollywood movie, and considering the difference in Hong Kong and US budgets, that's saying a lot. I have seen over 20 of Jackie Chan's films, and I am amazed at how varied and creative his movies are. This is definitely one of his best.

Summary: This Movie was a Pleasant Surprise
Review: This movie establishes Jackie as a very good director, actor, and action star. Though it is light on the action, the movie includes some breathtaking fight scenes and stunts that are well worth waiting for. The story is very intriguing and is similar to the plot of "A Pocket Full of Miracles." This movie literally has it all.

Summary: The Chinese Godfather, Jackie's Way!
Review: Throughout the the 80's, Jackie Chan was being blacklisted by critics as someone who's only talent was directing lighthearted action films without any substance. Jackie took this criticism personally and created one of the best films of his career, "Miracles." Based on Frank Capra's "Lady For a Day," Jackie took his time and directed a film that can be compared to the best of Hollywood during the Golden Era. Jackie originally didn't want action scenes, but realized none of his fans would see it. There are three brillinat action pieces intertwined with the story, the best is the final at a rope factory. Jackie also used techniques used by Hollywood by using steady cams for extended shots. Anita Mui from "Rumble in the Bronx" has a delightful role as a nightclub and we get to hear her sing (which was her original career.) This movie is a must have for any Jackie Chan fan, or any who appreciates great filmmaking.
