Summary: Great Knockoff
Review: Basically the same as Jade Claw, Snake In The Eagle's Shadow, and Drunken Master, just with drunken styles and Preying Mantis. Though the film doesn't have Jackie Chan or Billy Chong, Simon Yuen is in it and plays the same character he's known for. The new kung fu style the hero uses in the climax is fun to watch and definately looks like Yuen Woo Ping's old school choreography...creative and entertaining. The DVD quality is pretty good for a video transfer but the subtitles are sometimes cut off on both sides due to the full screen-only playback. There are a few trailers for other films also.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Poor, Poor DVD quality.
Review: Let me say that this is a terrible re-print of this movie. It looks like it was transferred from a bootleg VHS tape. It is cropped on all four corners and the colors are bleeding everywhere. This "insta-action" also is the biggest joke i have seen. It makes the whole DVD skip to certain scenes and you don't know what is going on.

It is a shame these classic movies are only getting re-mastered in Asia and not encoded for DVD players over here. Whatever you do, stay away from this edition of this movie.

Summary: Unbelievable Shizznit my neazy
Review: WHen he first got drunk I literally exploded in my pants. There was a scene where he got wasted and beat up this guy and it was great. I paused the movie to take a shower and when I got back I watched it naked. THen I turned it off and turned it back on, and put a towel on.

Summary: Yuen Woo Ping and Sam the Seed
Review: When you see a Yuen Woo Ping film, you can pretty much gaurantee that it will be entertaining. At least the fight scenes are. I actually have owned this film for about 6 years now on VHS, and the movie is good, but it can get corney at times (like the singing in the bank?!.) But all in all a pretty decient martial arts film. Sam the Seed plays the usual character, like in Drunkin Master and does a good job, even though it's noticalble that he is not doing the more difficult moves. Watch for when Sam the Seed and Crazy Legs are drinking tea together! To me, It was the highlight of the film. Very good choreography, thanks to Woo Ping, who is one of the most talented martial arts choreographer and director. The firmiliarness of the characters, the cornyness, the slow martial arts sequences, and the unfunny comedy make it an OK martial arts film. Apart from the tea drinking sequence, the film is nothing spectacular.
