Summary: Funny and entertaining!
Review: I have to make comment on this movie because of my favorite star: Jet Li. It's actually impossible for Mel Gibson to defeat Jet Li in the movie because he is the kung-fu master (in real life too!). But he is so cool. Too bad he's playing an antagonist. If you like him, see Bodyguard from Beijing and the Fist of Legend. When Bodyguard from Beijing was released in 1994, I was sceptical because it is the Asian version of The Bodyguard. I saw it for the first time last week, and to my surprise, I loved it more than the US version. It was action-packed and everything moves very fast. I even felt hesitant to return the tape to the video store because I felt like I haven't watched it enough times:)

Summary: Makes the grade.....
Review: Wahoo - good choice of cast with Chris Rock, Danny Glover, Mel Gibson, Joe Pesci, Jet Li, Rene Russo etc. This movie is a good adventure with plot twists to keep you on the edge of your seat - a really good ending to the series as well - but they could of made it just that tiniest bit better to get a 4 or a 5!

Summary: I MADE A MISTAKE THE LAST TIME I WROTE...
Review: As I was saying in my one-line summary, I made a mistake the last time I wrote about this film. While I won't change my feelings about the sound and picture quality being well-transfered to the DVD version of this movie, that would be the only thing I give this movie or DVD credit for. It didn't have a good storyline (which is where it falls into the tidal wade of poorly done sequels to otherwise prominent films) but it also didn't have a good script, good direction, or a very good choice of supporting cast opposite Mel Gibson and Danny Glover who for the most part are excellent actors but (like every actor in the business) think that they can't make a horrifically terrible film. If they producers of the first 3 films wanted to make a sequel/finale to the series they could have done better in their sleep than they did with this film. If you want to see what I said earlier about praising the film check out my review under the email address Mulder4277@aol.com. I assure you that you will laugh hard at my ignorant comments from this past December but now you will see that I know what I am talking about now. Don't be fooled by the cast... this movie belongs in the morgue with the script.

Summary: Great ending to the series!
Review: When I first heard that there was to be a Lethal Weapon 4, I was a wee bit skeptical. However, when I finally saw it I was definitely not dissappointed! Glover and Gibson were still the perfect team and the addition of Jet Li (my personal favorite) enriched the experience immensely.

The only reason I didn't give the film 5 stars, was that Chris Rock's performance was a bit annoying at times.

Summary: dreadful
Review: Lethal Weapon was amazing. Lethal Weapon 2 was fantastic. Lethal Weapon 3 was great. Now, for Lethal Weapon 4 - take all the elements that make the first ones so good...and get rid of em. Add some terrible characters - (i.e. Rock) and a terrible plot and there you have it. One of the most attractive things about the other three movies was Riggs, and his self-perceived invincibility. In this movie he just gets tired. In fact, after his first fight scene you know he is just going to lose every other one - but you just dont care. I am sorry to say the only good thing about this movie is the last fight scene because it caters to the masses. It is good, not because Jet Li is wonderful - you can hardly see what he is doing, but because the scene is practical and shows that two big men in an enclosed space can smack down one little man, no matter how talented he is. And you WANT them to do it too, because Jet Li plays SUCH a hateful badguy. Actually, that is the one other good thing...Jet Li usually plays such sweet characters! But I HATED him in this movie. So he was the best actor. Thas about it. The movie bit. Gibson fans? Watch Braveheart instead.

Summary: a truly terrible movie
Review: I agree - this was a "long verbal assault", full of "inane trash-talk." I'm glad I'm not the only one that nearly winced at the "unnecessarily racist" jabber (supposedly Gibson's charachter trying to psych out the bad guys). Pesci and Rock were utterly useless. And what a waste of Jet Li's talent. Yet, he did more acting with his cold stare than Glover and Gibson could do in all their asinine yammering. What was the point of Russo's last scene? Glover, Gibson, Russo, Donner and Silver should be ashamed. I'm glad I only watched the rented DVD at someone else's house.

Summary: THIS IS THE BEST LETHAL WEAPON MOVIE BY FAR!
Review: What more can you say? This LW contains everything! Plenty of laughs(courtesy Joe Pesci and Chris Rock with the cellphone scene), martial arts action - Jet Li is definitely the star of this one - explosions, and in amongst all the lunacy, some good character development of the family side of Riggs(Mel Gibson) and Murtagh(Danny Glover)(a great on screen pair, hard to beat!). The plot - the two maverick cops from the previous LW movies investigate a Chinese Triad counterfeiting operation, with action-packed results! Murtagh is one unlucky homeowner - after a car ramraiding(the first LW), an exploding toilet(LW2), now his house burns to the ground! There is an amusing car chase after this bit, and the dental surgery scene will have you rolling on the floor with hysterical laughter. As for the final face-off, it's awesome. DVD definitely enhances the enjoyment of the LETHAL WEAPON movies, and with all the action offered here, you'd be a fool not to give it a go!

Summary: Lethal Weapon 4 was my favorite
Review: This was better than the first 3! It was more of a comedy/action than just action like the first 3. I recommend this movie.

Summary: This headache-inducing junk is for diehard LW fans only!
Review: This was such a verbal assault on the viewers--two plus hours of screeching, screaming, shouting, arguing, swearing--come on guys, good actors all, lost in a way-too-long self-indulgent farce. This could have been a decent, timely story if the producers/writers had taken a bit of care. There were some truly interesting effects, some genuine moments of humor, and a few cases of true suspense. But all the good stuff was overshadowed by inane trash-talk. This is a mockery of the original Lethal Weapon, and continues the three stooges aspect of LW3. Only the stooges were honestly funny.
