Summary: Stick With One and Two
Review: If ever there was a franchise that has overstayed its welcome, it's the Lethal Weapon series. The first two films were great, the third tried my patience, but the fourth (and hopefully final!) film was pure cheese. The bond between the Gibson and Glover characters that was so evident in the first two films seemed strained in #4. Add in the exploitation of Jet Li, and you have a truly unwatchable film. Don't get me wrong, Jet Li was great in this one (the reason that this film is getting two stars from me, and not just one), but I was disturbed how the film company all but refused to acknowledge him (the original theater poster didn't even feature Li!). Li has some great stunts and fight scenes, but Li just isn't enough to carry this tired franchise. Throw in Chris Rock as a foul-mouthed irritating cop, and you have a terribly unwatchable film. If you want your fill of Lethal Weapon, take a look at the first two, and if you're looking for Jet Li then look at High Risk or Hitman. Hopefully American filmmakers realize that Li is genuinely talented, and make better use of him in films than Lethal Weapon 4 did.

Summary: Great Movie
Review: Having seen the other Lethal Weapon films this has to be one of my favorites movies because it has comedy and action rolled into one. My favorite part of the movie is between Joe Pesci and Chris Rock talking about how they great screwed by the cells phone that is one the funnist things I've ever seen. If your in the mood for a action-comedy this is the movie for you. I give this is film a A+. Five stars. Get this movie.

Summary: LETHAL BUT ONLY JUST
Review: The best thing about these films is you know what you're going to get. If you just fancy some action, good fight scenes, explosions, a lilltle love interest and comedy all wrapped up in a good guys and bad guys movie then this is for you. There is a plot regarding smuggling people, but it's incidental. Yhe movie plays on the familiarity of the two central characters. This being no 4 it's almost a soap. Joe Pesci delivers the best lines and manages to become more endearing and annoying as the film goes on. Hopefully they will stop at 4, and the Lethal Weapon series will be given the credit it deserves. Lethal Weapon 5 would be just one more than we really need. In a nutshell if you liked any of the others buy it. If you didn't you won't like this one either. Region 2 actually has some decent extras for a change. Thanks guys

Summary: This One's Only for the Fans
Review: Let's hope this really IS the last Lethal Weapon. The cast is certainly an enjoyable one to watch, but there is nothing new in this tiresome buddy-cop movie. The story is erratic, and the constant quips (which are rarely witty) are, at this point, distracting more than entertaining.

The movie is very violent, with lots of shooting. Strangely, though, Donner has placed a very conspicuous anti-NRA poster in the police station! Huh? Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? And the excessiveness of Gibson's character just doesn't work in an age when we are increasingly aware of police excesses, and how society and the press will not tolerate them. In other words, if there is a message in this movie, a subtext to the generally mindless action, that message is a mess.

Chris Rock is a comedian, and seems terribly miscast in this movie. Jet Li, as the villain, is superbly cast. That's a very neat trick that he does with Gibson's gun...I've heard that it is, in fact, possible to do this with the type of gun Gibson's character carries.

I don't think anyone but a die-hard Lethal Weapon fan (which I am not) will feel satisfied when this movie ends. Me, I like my comedy and violence separated; I don't like to mix my pleasures.

Summary: Hypocritical
Review: I would strongly encourage any pro fourth amendment supporters to boycott this movie. The anti-gun and anti-NRA posters posted in the station house are in direct contradiction to the beliefs of most police officers. These backdrops were obviously an attempt to support an executive's agenda or show Hollywood to be against violence. What an interesting message to send in a series titled Lethal Weapon.

Summary: Impossible to dislike.
Review: Those Lethal Weapon fans out there won't be interested in my opinion, but for those who are just looking for a fun action/comedy thriller, try this on for size. You've got some 'buddy' comedy which is actually funny (making a change from a lot of tired cop films) and some really well-staged action scenes. You can see the Joel Silver (Matrix) influence.

There's always going to be a touch of uneasiness if you're coming in to a franchise late, and the end scenes can get a bit silly if you don't have an emotional investment in the characters. But overall the beautifully choreographed action, low-key and offbeat humour, and general energy of the stars make this a film you should definitely try.

Summary: Lethal Weapon 4 DVD Review: Fully loaded!
Review: The cast of Lethal Weapon 4 is back and the DVD is truly awesome!

The video and sound quality demonstrated in this DVD is superb and one thing that will make you love this DVD even more is how Warner Bros. loaded this DVD up with extras. Trailers for Mel Gibson movies (Warner Bros. related only), Interviews, Extended/deleted scenes from the previous Lethal Weapon series, trailers for all Lethal Weapon movies and so much more.

Just watching these trailers now makes me want to purchase the others on DVD.

What can I say...this DVD should be called a Collector or Special edition because it's fully loaded!

If you enjoyed the Lethal Weapon series, this DVD is a must get. Your surround sound will have a good workout and it's a DVD that you can spend time on because it's fully loaded.

The Lethal Weapon 4 DVD is a real winner!

Summary: The end of cinema
Review: This movie is representative of Hollywood decline. It is full of racial cliches : the chinese is a bad man. The violence is gratuitous and there is neither plot nor acting. Mel Gibson with this stupid movie only wants to earn a lot of money and he does it very well. I don't understand why people want to see gratuitous violence in that sort of "movie", don't they think there is enough violence in the US ? what is the moral of the movie ? It could be resumed like that : I don't like that man so I shoot him, in another way, violence is considered as the essential way to communicate for a man. The formula of the movie is simple : you mix violence, explosions, car crashes and you make a blockbuster.

Review: Their Back!

Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh are back, and I seriously don't think that their getting to old for this. In fact, Riggs might be getting married, and Laurna is pregnant, so is Rianne. In the hit sequel to Lethal Weapon 3, Riggs and Murtaugh are caught in a smugglers plan, when Murtaugh brings home a family that were being smuggled ino the U.S. Sparks fly as a fast-moving bad guy (Jet Li) makes their lives miserable. And they have to catch them before he destroys their familes.

Summary: Lethal Weapon 4
Review: Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Joe Pesci, Rene Russo, and Chris Rock star in an action-packed but hilarious new addition to the Lethal Weapon saga, with Jet Li (later starred in Black Mask) as the deadly Chinese smuggler. This awesome hit begins when L.A.P.D. roughneck cop Martin Riggs (Gibson) and his family-man partner, Lieutenant Roger Murtaugh (Glover) discover families in a ship fallen prey to a clan of Chinese smugglers. They immediatly slip into action in a funny, suspenseful attempt to stop a martial artist Chinese smuggler (Li) from destructing the city.
