Summary: a 12 year old kid
Review: this is propbably one of my favourite movies. What i mainly like about the movie is that it is one of the best comic stories turned into a movie (apart from spiderman). The movie also did have a great story plot and i enjoyed the action and the sound track. One of my favourite scenes is the intro or very beggining where blade chases after the vampires on the motor bike and then threatens to push the vampires face down into the motor bikes wheel while it was spinning. If you can't handle gore you propbably won't like this movie seeming there is alot of gore. i recomend this movie to people aged 11 to 30 though if you where 11 it would propbably be best you watch it with your friends or parents and especially do not watch it at night(it gave me nightmares).

Summary: Blade Rocks!
Review: I read somewhere that it was the X-Men that singlehandedly saved superhero films, and felt betrayed.It was the original Blade (a dark horse if there ever was one) that proved the viability of the superhero film. With it's tons of stylilzed action, blood, and Kung-Fu antics, it set the standard which other superhero films have been working to live up to. Blade 2 is trendsetting in a similar (and check out the Director's commentary with Mr. del Toro and Peter Frankfurt. These two guys are not only full of information, but they are hilarious!) manner. The action is fast and furious, and the way computer graphics are used in some shots is remarkable. Though, a pet peeve is that it doesn't make music an integral part of the proceedings like the original. Instead it has a creepier, gothic vibe going for it for the most part. And enough can't be said about the Reapers. These guys are some of the creepiest characters to appear in film in a long time, and to see their gruesome faces are well worth the price of admission. There are hints of a love story between Blade and the daughter of the leader of the Vampire Nation, but luckily there isn't too much time spend on developing this relationship because I personally thought that, considering the character of Blade, that the hints of a relationship between them seemed more logical that any actual relationship.

Summary: Nonstop Action
Review: Blade was a great movie and I actually liked it a little better then Blade II but if you are into action this is the movie for you. The first quarter of this movie tells the story and explains a few thing then the rest of it is one long ... action sequense. Of course, Wesley Snipes plays Blade to perfection, he is the comic book hero of a new era. There are a few twists to keep you guessing and thinking a, little bit, thoughout the movie which with the brutal violense makes this movie great.

Summary: A Waste of Time and Money
Review: How on Earth anyone felt that this movie merited 4 or 5 stars is beyond me. Blade II was dull, predictable, and contained plot turns that were completely assinine, even for a movie based on a comic book. Don't get me wrong--I love vampire lore (even cheese like Kindred: The Embraced), Prague is my favorite city in the world, and I dig comic books. However, none of these elements could save this flick. It did have a nice style to it, but that just wasn't enough. Save your money.

Review: If Guillermo del Toro set out to translate the language of comics to the silver screen, than he more than achieved his goal with the visually astounding Blade II. With the exception of the two returning characters of Whistler and Blade, this 'sequel' couldn't be more removed from the original if it tried. From atmosphere and colour coded lighting to whip crack pace and even more gore, Blade II is relentless in it's attempt to leave you gasping by the time the blood drenched credits roll. Foregoing any real semblance of plot (that would only slow things down after all), the film tends to feel like one long fight scene but it's all executed so impressively that the final impression left is one not unlike riding a rollercoaster. Not a bad thing and an even better thing if that's what the director set out to do. Guillermo himself is unapologetic in his honesty that he was simply intended to fashion a 'kick ...' movie that while different from Stephen Norrington's original, retains the similar style and wit that made the first so special. Acting wise, Blade is a role Wesley Snipes could probably play in his sleep so while he is predictably fantastic in bringing the character to believable life, all eyes settle on newcomer Luke Goss (he of Bros fame) and he doesn't dissapoint as the ruthless (and perhaps somewhat tragic) reaper Gerrad Nomak. From his appearance onscreen, Goss gives a captivating performance, somehow even investing a real humanity in a character that is more animalistic than human and that is testament to Goss' talents. Smartly avoiding overkill in the make up department, it's Goss' physical presence that is the most unsettling aspect of the villian. With two such formidable actors grounding the insanity that ensures in it's running run, the film is left to throw body parts up at the screen haphazardly. That it is crafted all so professionally allows you to simply be whisked away for the horrific ride. While not as acomplished as the first, Blade II remains startling good viewing. All action genres are pandered to, the horror fans get what they are after and when all is said and done, some might find themselves surprised how addictive the film continues to be, requesting if not demanding repeated viewings. A great horror and action film that deserves more of an accolade than simply 'sequel' and more a title in it's own right.

Summary: Simple story, great presentation, all fun
Review: The original "Blade" -- the first of the "New" Marvel Comics movies -- was a sign that Good Things were on the way from the formerly-moribund funnies-house. Seeing Wesley Snipes do his long-underrated martial-arts mambo in a sleekly stylized universe of crazy CGI and vampire marauders was, well, nifty. Now he does it again, and if anything he manages to do it even better in some ways. "Blade II" picks up two years after the first movie. Vampire hunter Blade (Snipes)'s partner Whistler (Kris "Krusty" Kristofferson) has been vampirenapped and has been "sucking blood clots" in a big tank of Gatorade this whole time. Blade busts him loose after disintegrating a whole mob of suckheads, gives him a de-vampiric detox, and tries to stop him from breaking the jaw of his new partner, the scruffy Scud (Norman Reedus). Before they can get TOO cozy, though, in come a pair of messengers from the vampire nation, including the lissome Nyssa, daughter to the head vampire Damaskinos. Seems a new kind of vampire is out there, the Reapers, who suck dry everything they can find. Including other vampires. Blade's mission, should he choose to accept it -- pair up with a team of vampires who were being trained to take HIM out, and take the Reapers off the map. Blade instantly clashes with the leader of the Bloodpack, Reinhardt (lantern-jawed Ron Perlman), and establishes his mojo by jamming a skullbomb onto the other man. Non-stop tension seethes between him and the rest of the 'Pack, but he finds himself cozzening up to Nyssa almost without realizing it. The Reapers themselves are half the reason to see the movie. In an era where movie monsters look like, well, other movie monsters, these things look like MONSTERS -- an H.R. Giger wet dream with faces that ... well, I shouldn't ruin it, and people are probably eating while reading this. Needless to say the action comes fast and fierce as Blade faces down against the head Reaper... and, well, just about everyone else. Criticism leaves off where fandom picks up. If you dig this sort of thing -- vampires disintegrating, gallons of gore, tons of ammo spent, crazyflashycool action scenes galore -- this is your movie. Can it be considered a guilty pleasure if millions of other people like it, too?

Summary: Even the monsters have monsters
Review: Blade 2 doesn't disapoint. There is Hong Kong action, a plot twist and did I say action? Who is to decide the greater of two evils? Blade must decide in the best interests of humanity. Will the enemy of his enemy be his friend? Like it or not we all face hard choices and hope for a good ending. One thing we can count on in Blade, his adamant integrity to the protection of the innocent, and I guess that is the best we can hope for in all peoples.

Summary: Good but I preferred the 1st
Review: This is a good movie but I have gotten acustomed to seeing vampires turn into ash. The 1st movie is a little better because every part was fresh and original. The storyline was also more dramatic. In this sequel,Blade seemed to have spent less time a the gym, his muscels are a tad smaller.
I still do recommend that you buy this sequel because it has a couple of excellent fights sceens between Blade and the boss of the rebel vampires. And this sequel is a lot better than all the other comic book based movies (X-men,Batman,etc). And if you haven't, buy the first part, that one is a definite 5 star.
