Rating: Summary: The Dragon is Back! Review: This DVD collection is a must-have for your home. It's well done and hard core!
Rating: Summary: Bruce Lee, the man. Review: This DVD set was already released (why are they getting it so late?) But anway this DVD collection is about a master, a master of the Martial Arts, his name is Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee was born in San Francisco in 1940 but would be raised in China, later on his parents would give him a crisp 100 dollar bill and would send him on his way back to San Francisco. Bruce Lee would learn various Martial Arts in China and would utilize them in his films. Bruce would go back to China to film ALL these movies in this collection (their all in english but with different vioice actors, the orginal movies were in Chineese). Then Bruce would get his big brake in 1972 when hollywood would start work on "Enter the Dragon" (not included in this collection, ashame, it would have completed it). Bruce would film this with multiple hollywood sensations but he would never get to see it in theaters although he WOUDLD see a full version of it just before he died of a odd brain reaction to a head medicine he took that night. Some people say Bruce is a poser, some say hes not a good actor, well i say forget what they say. Bruce is the man, next to me ;).
Rating: Summary: The master Review: This edition to me is great.I know the sound is in mono and the dubbing isn`t that good but guys look how old the film is.Bruce`s best films were to my concern Return of the Dragon and Chinese Connection
Rating: Summary: A Collectors Choice Review: This is a must in any collection. The all time master of Kung Fu at his best. Although this is a quite old set of flims it does lack however the sound.
Rating: Summary: The Master Doing What He Does Best! Review: This is the almost complete set of Bruce Lee movies. In my opinion these are the best. I'll admit the mirror scene in Enter the Dragon was pretty cool. Anyway - There is something about Bruce Lee that no one else has. I guess Jet Li would be as close as anyone. The plots aren't that complicated but who watches Bruce for the great acting. There isn't a lot if any special features on these disks. You get fully restored versions and the movies are in widescreen. They are still in MONO. :( As I said in my title it's The Master Doing What He Does Best! :)
Rating: Summary: A definite must buy for any Bruce Lee fan. Review: This is the most complete Bruce Lee DVD set you can ever own. This collection plus Enter the Dragon will make your Bruce Lee DVD collection complete. You will have all of his films. Collection contains remastered movies, cleaned up and sharp looking. Other DVD releases by lesser companies offer horrible image quality but not FOX. Enter the Dragon is owned by Warner Brothers, otherwise it would have been included in this DVD kit. On the down side, the DVD collection offers just the movies and nothing else. There's no bonus materials on any of the DVDs. I guess you can consider the documentary DVD a bonus. There's five DVDs in total and in my opinion worth every penny. Summary: IMAGE QUALITY (A+) Bruce Lee's films have never looked better or so new, SOUND (B) mono only, <the movies are over 25 years old, before the days of stereo in HK>. It would have been nice if they had redubbed all the movies for this release in Dolby Digital 5.1.
Rating: Summary: the best martial arts action pack ever Review: this pack is the beat movies a martial arts fan can ever purchase. fist of fury, bruce goes to tiland to get some work and stop his fighting. but when bruce discovers his boss has something to do with the dissaperence of his cousind nothing can stop bruces fist of fury. great movie. chinese connection, is bruces teacher is killed and now hes out for revenge.return of the dragon bruce comes from hong kong to rom to help his cousins who are in trouable and are beging herasd by mobsters.game of death his final film but an excllent story and action. bruce lee the legend very informative bio. over all this is the best movies ever to live.
Rating: Summary: GET THE HONG KONG LEGENDS VERSION!!! Review: This Warner Brothers set is very good-I bought it, but it's annoying that these discs are not anamorphic and you don't get the original soundtrack. However, if you are a Bruce Lee fanatic, and you have a PAL converter, and a multiregion dvd player that can play Region 2 discs, you must get the Hong Kong Legends releases. This is a UK company. They put out the four Bruce Lee films, minus Enter the Dragon, in beautiful, restored, remastered, anamorphic widescreen versions with Dolby Digital sound. This is heaven for people with widescreen TVs. They are loaded with extras(Game of Death has 2 dvds!) and also have several soundtracks so you can watch the original Chinese with English subtitles, or the English dubbed version. It's amazing, but Region 2 really outdid Region 1 in this case. You can buy them from Amazon.com.uk. Hong Kong Legends has a website that lists all their releases, including many Jackie Chan and Jet Li films, all made to the same high standards.
Rating: Summary: BIG DISAPPOINTMENT-STAY AWAY Review: This was a big nothing! If you are looking for great footage of Bruce and his martial arts talent then this is not for you. Most of the focus is on acting, characters and weak interviews rather than on Bruce. Boring and a waste of money. I was letdown enough to write this review.
Rating: Summary: Walk-through of Bruce Lee's life and career. Review: Very good biography. Lots of behind the scene footage from Game of Death (inluding mess-up scenes). Leads you through Lee's life and career. Also has a screen test of Lee and a clip from Longstreet with him shedding light on his art to the leading character. There's a lot more. Just get the tape.
