Review: If not for Angelina Jolie, I wouldn't have noticed Gia, the supermodel of the 70s. Nobody will deny the fact that AJ is an excellent actress. I'm fascinated by her acting, she can take any character and make it come to live.
About the movie, I'm not too sure about the life of Gia, but with AJ's great performance, I can feel how was Gia's feeling of loneliness and the needs to be wanted, by her mom and her friends around her. Doing drug making her stone is the only way she can escape from the feeling of loneliness, as least for a while.
This is a good film with great actress who bring out the inner feeling of Gia.

Review: For anyone in doubt of Jolie's acting abilities, Watch This Film. Angelina shines as Gia in this fantastically well done film. One of my all time favorites, this film just pulls you along for the ride. Absolutely fantastic.

Review: the story is fairly predictable: local girl gets discovered, local girl goes to new york and gets swept up with life in the fast lane, local girl loses sight of who she is or was, local girl goes into visible slide and pays the ultimate price.

the only thing that redeems this film (slightly anyway) is the uniqueness of the main character's personality -- at once innocent and cold. also, angelie jolie is a terrific actress but her face a little too imperfect and her body a little too boxy to be taken seriously as a stick-figured model.

Review: this movie was great. angelina jolie did an incredible job with this. i can see why she one the golden globe award. the movie is the life of super model gia who spiraled downward into the abyss of drugs. her beauty could not save her from the hold of the drugs. a great movie. gia would be proud.

Review: this is probably one of jolie's best works. In an article, jolie said that this movie hit close to home because jolie, too, had done drugs and she also modeled as a kid, and she has a knife fetish. This is the closest role Angie has ever done that is so much like her. gia is the movie to see, it's spectacular. i love jolie in roles like this, as a person with a problem, kind of crazy, and she plays it perfectly. that's why i love girl, interrupted. 2 similar roles. if you like gia, you'll love girl, interrupted. though jolie doesn't resemble gia carangi, she was absolutly excellent. i dont know one person who disliked this movie at all. and, i loved that they showed her tattoo, i love when they show her tattoos and don't cover them up. And, her hair in this movie is wild, and she seemed to have gained more weight in this movie, but she still lookes excellent!

Review: This movie was insultingly bad. I saw it before I knew anything about it and was shocked to hear it's gotten so much critical acclaim. My sister - 16 and a usual fan of AJ - and I happened on it on HBO and couldn't stop laughing at it. (It's not a comedy). It was trying to be all deep and glamourous, but we thought it was pretentious and silly. If you want to see a movie about drugs messing with people's lives, try Sid and Nancy, High Art, Train Spotting or Drugstore Cowboy, not this.

Review: i had rented this movie about 3 years ago on video,and as much as i use to love angelina jolie,even then i found this movie to be very hard to watch.i have not viewed this movie until earlier today(7/9/01)and jesus christ is this a bad crap ... video.oh my god.first off,is it just me or does angelina jolie play the same exact girl-on-edge-tragically-hip-character in every single movie?and as for the mvie all i'll say is,this is a long drawn out,slow moving production of a film.i know the whole story behind gia the person.it is a tragic one.i did not expect this to be a musical by any means.but at the same time,i did not expect this to be a dose of nyquil and powerful ssedatives neither.i will say that mercedes rheul(hope i spelled her name right)portrayal of gia's spazy mother was excellent.she is the only part of this movie that really seemed to strike a cord in me at all,being as she the character was a disgusting person in my view who treated her daughter like some kind of ailment.so this is my personal review,mine and mine only.
