Review: As a collector of gay video, I must say that this is one that is not joining my collection: reason being is that it is too stereotypical, catty, boring and will put anyone who sees it back into the closet! Sure there are films out there with broad gay steroetypes(Priscilla), a fair amount of cattiness(Jeffrey), or unbelievable boredom(Hustler White), but this film is ANNOYING! the director/star uses his ability to be on screen as a way to have a sexy hunk in love with him (the hunkis the only reason to watch the film, by the way). Most gay films, a person can watch and think, "Is that me?" or "Do I want to b like this?" and the answer is usually a positive one. Not with this piece of trash. "Beautiful thing", "Trick", "Get Real"- these are good movies: funny, entertaining, the whole sha-bang. Wally is a dime-a-dozen queen who most people find as annoying in real life as we do on our screens -- and we'd rather not watch him.

Review: At first I was put off by the blatant stereotypes the movie gave of gay men. Then again, I'm from what the movie would call a square state. Not all gay men are like the stars of this movie. But the movie does hint at this, and I credit it for that. It seemed to try and show that all of ones problems can't be solved through parties and sex, even if that's what they thought. I wonder how the movie would have turned out if he had something worse than just the flu.

Review: I disagree with most of the unfavorable reviews that center around the fact that the main character is self centered and the movie is overall vapid. That WAS the point of the movie. And a light thing is always good every once in a while.
However, the acting is really quite atrocious. None of the actors look like they acted prior to shooting this film. The only one that does not over-emphasize every expression or syllable is Ben, the object of Tommie's affection. But overall, if the acting had been any better, the movie would actually be a nice, light-hearted cute effort...

Review: I have watched this flick at least countless times and I still laugh. If anything ever actually hit on every gay theme and rang true, this is it. This movie is a comedy that reveals the vapid, self indulged, sex centered mind of a group of characters that reflect the reality of the fun side of gay life. People that dont like this film, simply cant admit how close it hits to home, or they dont get out.
Wally, wherever you are, you need to make another movie!!

Review: I reckon that such movies, that touch subjects which are widely considered as too liberated to be displayed through the silver screen, should undoubtfully be promoted so as to unveil the true face of the issue, which in the movie "Lie down with Dogs" happens to be homosexuality, and thus to let the audience create an opinion on the subject or even their personality beyond social standards and taboos.Afterall the movie mentioned attires the subject of homosexuality with the element of humour.
