Summary: It's a great movie, but...
Review: This was a great movie. The biggest thing that appealed to me was the fact the Herd was able to catch the emotion of what it is really like when you realize that you can't stop thinking about someone. For being two straight actresses, the chemistry between the two characters was evident. On other thing that appealed to me was the fact that it was not just a movie about a gay man or a lesbian, it was a movie that was able to incorporate both. HOWEVER, the acting itself had much to be desired. It was evident that they were not seasoned actors/actresses and the movie tended to be very choppy due to this fact. For Herd's first film and for it being a low budget, self-financed film...it was a great movie.

Summary: it is NOT in the water
Review: About this movie ... well you know it could be entertaining in itself, but ... in my opinion the theme should not be treated like in this film and in similar movies like better than chocolate. This statement is cause of my mind. Have you ever heard about 'semi' homophobic people?... well I'm one of them. I do show myself to be fully compliant with lesbians, but the other side I cannot understand them. WAIT! Don't skip me! My opinion might interest you! My opininon ... well the topic which is on is the love. And my lines starts here: love is something tender gentle coming-from-the-deepest-of-our-heart feeling and what's the two gender embody says love is some basicly female thing. I try hard to make people understand me here I tell some about my mind: affairs should be built up on love and to ensure this 'container' to have in them a girl should be in them ... or only girls ha-ha. I guess only an at-least-one-girl-built could only work why? because love can only come from and be built up if at least one girls gives her soul in it, her soul with her female principles. And when two girls end up in love I believe and KNOW that is defenitly the most beautiful and valuable thing. Because these affairs take the twice tender and understanding than the one-girled things. These words might be too bothering but this cause of there is simply not enough space to write it much better. And the without-girl things, well I do not want to hurt anybody but they seem only to be fake that's what I feel. The in-soul-beaute that the true L-ove emdody is completly the opposite of the girllessness and cannot be mentioned on one page with m/m things that's why in (my opinion) the L-ove should not be downed to the level of a drop-out-or-not-from-the-society problem packed beside gaymen's thing. And here I tell Ls are not gay ouh what an ugly expression for the L-ove. It's disgusting to call it gay. All-in-all, in few words: the true L-ove should be respect and what's more prefered and - I tell again this is my opinion and I don't want to hurt anybody - the m/m things should be forgot, cause they only go and go around and find nothing. But true L-overs I mean if they are only for each other and take themselves seriously can build a miracle that shows beyond this world. The Ls embody some beyond-earth beaute. And that's why if once they take place on the screen it should be some of art.

Summary: Eh...
Review: It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen. There were too many of the usual stereotypes and it tried to tackle too many issues for such a short run-time, but it had a few moments of humor and there's a scene at the very end that's rather effective. I had to watch it twice, but I can admit to mildly appreciating it.

Summary: Trying to rent a funny lesbian flick? Pick this first
Review: Chances are, by the time you're considering watching "It's in the Water", you've seen a lesbian-themed movie or two. So if you think you're running out of options because you've seen "Gia" and "Better than Chocolate" or what have you, feel free to dive right in to this.

"It's in the Water" is worth renting because it's fun. The first few minutes may have you wondering what you've spent your money on, but don't worry. It gets hilarious. The humor is fresh and the chemistry between the lead characters is genuine. And for some reason, that blonde just looks better and better with every scene.

Bottom Line
Cuddles: ***
Tissues:
Hotness: ***
Laughs: ****
Quality: ***
Rent it first. Buy after you don't return it because you can't quit watching it.

Summary: June Sarpong...
Review: Rhyming Cockney Slang is ever evolving, my current favourite RCS describes this film quite nicely... IT'S ALL JUNE SARPONG!...(June Sarpong = Wrong+)... *It's In The Water* has to be one of the worst films I have ever seen.

The big Dynasty hair, the over-acting, the long meaningful looks at the end of every scene and predicable dialogue was funny enough... until, you realise you are laughing for the wrong (June Sarpong!) reasons. The actors weren't deliberately acting bad, they are just bad actors, acting out an appalling script, apparently without a director.

What on earth made me think this film would be any good? The cover of course... don't be fooled, the homos are not on the loose, rampantly rampaging through Rednecksville... (and let's face it, who wouldn't pay to see that!). This film is not funny, at all, in fact it borders on offensive. I would have rather sat through *Bird Cage* again, yes *It's In The Water* is that bad!! Proving you can't judge a DVD by it's cover.

(+June Sarpong is a beauitful, yet somewhat talent-challenged, TV host here in the UK)

Summary: It's so funny!!
Review: I'm from the South originally and man did this remind me of home. Small town, small minds and steriotypical prejudices make this movie not only funny, but hysterical.

Look out it's in the water is good film and the lead actress is a hottie!!

Summary: Great funny movie!
Review: This movie is one of the better of the lesbian movies I think. It's was actually written by a woman that now lives in Dallas about Tyler,Texas. It's gives you an idea of how that town is.

Summary: Delicious Humor
Review: You will enjoy this movie. It is a fun journey through the closet south where the author spares no southern stereotypical persona from her sharp writing. If you are a southern you will find yourself chuckling out loud. A delightful love story: that is richly woven and gently crafted into a deliciously humorous look at cultural mores.

Summary: It's very Cute
Review: I am not some ball-busting movie critic, but everybody's time is precious, so is mine, so here goes: I like this movie, it's very cute, kinda like the actress, Teresa Garrett. Hey, isn't she the home improvement lady from the show "Micheal Holligan"? I knew these home improvement gals are funny, Martha included. But seriously, it is a very endearing movie and I recommend you see it several more times to really appreciate it. The DVD version is even better because you can hear the commentaries of Kelli Hurd, KerriJo Chapman and Teresa Garrett. Hurd's comments gives you an insight on the struggles of making it independently on a shoestring budget and some of that shows but it is all part of the fun. Chapman and Garrett's love scenes are well done, though you can tell by their giddy comments, that this is not something they do everyday in real life. But seeing how they fell in love, the scenes should have been more sensous, feiry.(this is why I didn't give it a full five star) Nevertheless, It is a charming movie and I highly and sincerely recommend it.
