Summary: Better than Fried Green Tomatoes
Review: One word for this DVD: HOT! It is much better than those extra scenes on the Fried Green Tomatoes DVD. The chicks in "Better than Chocolate" are smokin' hot and know how to work the audience. Jenna Jamison, watch out! One of the chicks has sort of a strange face, but she makes up for it with effort, let's leave it at that. Despite the Rosie O'Donnell cameo, this DVD is the best around. I highly recommend this DVD!

Summary: Relax and enjoy this one
Review: This is a low budget, well made Canadian comedy about two young women who weren't looking for romance, but found each other amid their busy lives. This movie is hip, outrageous at times, entertaining and comical. The soundtrack is excellent as well! I certainly recommend this movie, which I intend to watch again and again.

Summary: I'd rather have chocolate
Review: I thought a good way to pick a good movie was to read other peoples opinions. Obviously I have different tastes than everyone else, because I thought the movie was not only unsexy, but it was incredibly boring and unbelieveable.
There was nothing interesting about the main characters. You didn't get attached or involved in any way. I could not believe you could fall in love and move-in together in the space of a few days.
There were too many story lines going at once to be able to give a damn about any of them. The two main characters had about as much heat together as a couple earthworms. I just didn't buy the whole thing!

Summary: Steamy, yet hokey
Review: My girlfriend and I did enjoy this movie considerably. The intimate scenes were steamy, yet tasteful. I have to disagree with the synopsis that labels Kim a butch. I found her to be enticingly androgynous and sure to kick up some bisexual feelings in a lot of straight women as my sister, an avowed hetero, will attest to.

The movie moves at a fairly good rate without much empty air time. It hits on a large number of crucial points regarding people's prejudices against anything outside of the straight and narrow and handled them all very tastefully.

My reason for giving this movie four stars instead of five is due to the ending. Since I don't want to spoil it for anyone by giving it away, I'll only say it was a bit too fairy tale. Still, it does not take away from its being a cute and romantic tale, perfect for an intimate evening with that special someone.

Summary: Tastefully done, enjoyable romance w/ a little drama
Review: My wife and I really enjoyed this movie. It is very real -- a nice movie without all the Hollywood air brushing and sugar coating. There was some good comedy, romance, and drama all thrown in -- just like life! It touches on issues such as homophobia and and gay/trans conflict, but not in an in-your-face, ruin-the-movie kind of way. I thought it was very appropriate the way it was weaved into the story of the characters' lives. Highly recommended!

Summary: Hot Enough To Melt The Chocolate!!!
Review: I liked this movie a lot because it didn't just focus on two lesbians in love, it encompassed many aspects of the queer community: bisexuals, trannies, and the inquiring straights. Tastefully done with a couple very hot scenes, this movie definitely rocks my art work!
