Summary: Feel the burn!
Review: I got these DVD's with the pretense of losing weight for my wedding. I tried Disc 1 and it was fun. The next week I moved on to Disc 2 and OH MY GOODNESS, I could really feel it...everywhere. My muscles hurt in places that I didnt even know existed. The other Discs are lots of fun too. I especially liked being able to learn how to do a lap dance...fun stuff! By far...Disc 2 is the BEST AEROBIC WORKOUT video that I have ever seen!

Summary: Makes me feel like one hot mamba jamba
Review: I guess the most important thing is what you're focusing on in the title - if your main interest is the "aerobic" portion of these videos you're going to be dissapointed. If your main focus is the "striptease", you're going to have a great time! If you want a series that will teach you how to strip for your lover, perform a chair dance, and perform a lap dance - this is for you. Moves are complex enough to be impressive, not so complex that you would be huffing and puffing after giving a striptease - not so sexy! Carmen does a great job of breaking down the moves and runs you through them enough so that you can actually learn them the first time through the video - you won't feel lost or frustrated during these videos! The hip hop video was an extra treat for me - I have always wanted to start learning hip hop but the videos I've seen are too fast and complex for me and therefore disheartening. Carmen walks you through a shorter routine and I was able to pick up almost all the moves the first time around! Plus, it got my heart rate up - I consider it the most cardio oriented video in the package.
The only thing that annoys me is that Carmen does not mirror her motions to make it easier for the viewer, a common problem with workout videos. For instance, when she will tell you to roll your right hip she will roll her right hip, so either you roll your left so that you are going in the same direction as the video or you roll your right and everything is opposite of the video. The videos are so well choreographed, though, that I didn't have any real trouble keeping up. Every time I've done these videos I've felt a little sore the next day, which is impressive since I have strong muscles from practicing yoga, pilates, and the Lotte Berke method on a regular basis. Carmen herself is absolutely adorable. She is very comfortable with what's she's doing which makes me feel more relaxed. She comes off as very nice and genuine. I know that someone complained about the time it takes to get the videos. Mine did take some time, probably 5 weeks, to get to me. But that was well within the delivery guidelines presented at the website that said 7-8 weeks. You can upgrade to better shipping if you want. Enjoy and get ready to learn some impressive (and useful!) moves!

Summary: Aerobic Striptease Review
Review: I had a lot of fun with this DVD set. DVD's #3 and #4 were pretty short but fun anyway. #2 is a good, toning workout and #1 has a couple of cute routines on it. I'd recommend it to someone who is getting started with a regular workout regimen.

Summary: Save your money!
Review: I have to totally agree w/"Mandy Rogers".....I too bought the whole series, and all the routines are way too simple (even for an out-of-shape person), and even if you're just looking to "spice up your love life" it'll put you to sleep!

Volume #2 offers a safe simple cardio toning workout. Volume #5 hip hop is just fun (but if you want a *real* hiphop workout--get MaDonna Grimes' Dance Street Vol 1 & 2. It's AWESOME!)


Now go save your money and spend it better on something else)

Summary: Do not order!
Review: I have tried ordering these DVD's through the actual aerobic striptease website and they were out of stock - but charged my credit card anyways! I have been trying to get a hold of customer service on that site for 2 weeks now and they have only replied with an automatic response. This has been so frustrating and so unprofessional. I wonder if Mrs. Navarro has any idea what is going on. I will never endorse anything by her again. I've also heard that she has put a 5 minute routine on 1 DVD - just to make more $$. Just a warning!!

Summary: A great workout, and SOOO much fun!
Review: I just joined Weight Watchers, and I have begun the hard journey to weight loss. When you are overweight, you NEVER feel sexy. But, this program really helped me discover that side of myself, and I had a blast doing it! Carmen is great, and I felt as though I was working out with a friend. I tried some of the routines on my man, and they work great (wink, wink!) If your goal is to tone up and have fun, this is the one for you! Also, the Fit to Strip DVD is great for your body to tone up, you'll look great for swimsuit season! If I could fault anything about this workout, I would say that DVD 3 could have been on DVD 1. It is the same sort of routine, but with costumes. The other four DVDs are all great though! I HIGHLY recommend this DVD to anybody who wants to feel sexy and tone up! Thank you to Carmen and the creators of Aerobic Striptease!

Summary: This set is the BEST!!
Review: I ordered the set of 5 dvd's through the actual striptease website on Feb. 12 and I received my dvds on Feb 23. I started using the tapes on the 24th and as of today (March 4) I have only lost 7 lbs but I have lost several inches. I have been using the #2 dvd "Fit to Strip" everyday and do all of the routines, which lasts about an hour from start to finish.
I have tried tae bo and other workout tapes, but I didnt like them at all...I had a tough time keeping up, and watching those size 2 girls doing those perfectly choreographed routines without breaking a sweat just made me feel worse.
I decided to only use the #2 dvd for now for my own personal reasons...I want to get into shape before learning the other dvds, but that is just my preference but I have watched the other dvds and I CAN'T WAIT to start using them...but first things first!!
I have read some reviews where people complain that Carmen and Michael stop to get a drink and towel off...and that is true, but it is a 10 second interval between routines...it isn't like they do it during the routine...and I for one am thankful for those 10 seconds so I too can get some water and get ready for the next set of exercises.
I also like this dvd because you see Carmen make some mistakes, and it lets you know she is human and also you see them sweat and breathing hard too, so you don't feel so bad. Michael lets you know it is ok if you can't keep up, to just try your best and you can always come back to it. These exercises are so much fun, and you feel them the next day, but the sore muscles are actually a wonderful feeling because you know the exercises are working.
Another thing I like is they work you really hard, then when you think you can't last another second, he slows things down...the exercises are no less effective, but it gives you a chance to cool down and catch your breath, and then you are right back to working hard again. Here is a quote from an article I read by a very well known fitness expert, about why it is very beneficial for an exercise program to have this quality of speeding things up and slowing down..."During all of my workouts, I do interval training, in which I alternate bursts of speeding up and slowing down throughout the workout. If I'm running, I might walk for three minutes, slowly jog for five, walk for three and then run really fast for five minutes. If you add periods of intensity to your workouts, you will rev up your metabolism, which helps you stay toned and slim. You also demand more energy from your body when you stop and start, which ultimately burns more calories, thereby making intervals one of the best ways to train."
You have instructors that actually come off as human, exercises that work and are fun, and it helps you lose weight and targets your whole body. What more can anyone ask for in a workout? I completely recommend this set to anyone!

Summary: A sexy, fun, easy to follow workout!
Review: I ordered this DVD ... despite the mixed reviews on it. This is one of the best workout sets I own, the strip workouts have a step by step instructional section, followed by the full routine run through without instruction to music (which you can select from three different music tracks on each routine) so once you master the moves, you can skip the part with vocal instructions. The workouts are really easy to follow, even if you are uncoordinated like myself. My favorite DVD is the Vol 2, Fit to Strip, a non-stripping routine with Carmens trainer, the actual brains behind the workouts. It is a really challenging matt workout to help strengthen and tone, that you will really feel the next morning. I reccomend this set to ANYONE!
