Summary: I was skeptical--but I'm hooked now!
Review: As the title says, I am always skeptical of exercise videos. I can't tell you how many I have in my video collection that collect nothing but dust. This miracle mile tape, however, is awesome! I was looking for something simple and easy to "ease" me back into shape. Leslie's video is incredibly easy to follow, even for those of us who are quite uncoordinated! It's actually FUN, and I don't get tired of this video. I HIGHLY recommend this video--especially for those who either don't have a lot of time to walk, or for those getting back into shape.

Summary: A great starter workout!
Review: I have a bunch of workout DVDs--some aerobics, some Tae Bo. But it's really hard for me to stick with anything on a regular basis. This one is great. Leslie is very motivating, the people working out have all lost weight doing this workout, and they don't have PERFECT athletic bodies. They're normal! ;o) This video helps me stay motivated and disciplined to do it every day, and then I plan to do my other videos every so often for some variety. I definitely reccommend it for anyone needing some discipline for exercising! Once I build up to where this video is easy for me, I plan to get the Two Mile workout as well. Good luck, and stick with it!! :o)

Summary: A Good Exercise Video
Review: I like several of Leslie Sansone's walking workout videos. From best to worst, here's how I rank the 5 I own:

2-MILE WALK -- 5 STARS. Her best video. Good pace, lots of variety. Not too hard for a beginner. It has a mileage gauge, which helps keep me going. (1996)

MIRACLE MILE -- 4½ STARS. A 1-mile walking workout in 15 minutes, plus a cool down and stretches. Great for those days when I haven't much time but I want to get some quick exercise in. Also good on days of cramps, if tired, etc. (1996)

WEIGHT LOSS WALK -- 3½ STARS. Has 3 20-minute segments of 1 mile, 1.5 miles, and 1.5 miles. Excellent for variety. Handy for those days when I want a different distance. Segments can be done alone or combined for a wide variety of distances -- up to 4 miles. A mix of familiar and different movements. Some of the exercises are a little goofy but it's good variety. Don't like the silent gaps between songs. (1993)

Not recommended:
PLUS 40 WORKOUT -- 2 STARS. A 2-mile workout, not nearly as good as "2-MileWalk". Seems somewhat amateurish. Has silent gaps between songs. (1989)

WALK & FIRM -- 2 STARS. Leslie with hand weights doing safe and simple exercises. Unfortunately, I really can't get into it, and I've never finished the video. (1998)

Leslie's videos are hard enough but not too hard for people just getting back into exercise. When I use them daily (especially mornings) I find I'm much less hungry all day. I've lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks. I try to exercise daily but usually do so 4-6 times a week. I feel better, sleep better, and have better posture.

Summary: This video got me hooked on walkaerobics!
Review: I started a diet and Leslie Sansone's walkaerobics program the same day. Leslie is so encouraging that I didn't quit when I found the first day somewhat difficult. My legs tired, but I slowed down as she suggested during the video and was able to complete the one mile walk. Since that time, I have completed the one mile walk with increasing ease. Now I have the two mile walk video and the video for people over 40. I love them all. I have learned that low impact aerobics mixed with walking can be fun and definitely contribute to weight loss.

I recommend this video to any one who wants to exercise at home. I go to the gym three days a week and do the walkaerobics videos on alternate days.

Summary: Excellent for Busy Moms
Review: In a former life, I was an aerobics instructor. I worked out at least two hours a day. I was buff and fabulous. That was 15 years ago.

Now I am a 40 year old mother of four children between the ages of 3 and 7, and I have to rise at 5:30 a.m. to get in 30 minutes of excercise before I start my daily duties, which are numerous.

This tape is excellent for that purpose. At 5:30, I do not want to be bothered with fancy choeography, power moves, or blasting music. I just want to excercise and be done with it. "The Miracle Mile" is simple and straightforward, and entertaining enough not to make early morning excercise such a terrible drag.

My 3 year old daughter loves to do this excercise routine with me during the day, too. She often picks it up and says, "mommy, let's do our walking tape.. so sometimes I get a double workout.

Summary: Has Stick-with-it-ness
Review: The Miracle Mile is the first exercise video I have ever been able to stick with and actually look forward to doing. Well, kind of. I am very overweight and HATE exercise as a general rule, but I was able to do this one from the first time I tried- a very motivating factor. (I couldn't quite the pace the first two or three times, but I did get to the end and then quickly got better.)I think that if I had started with anything longer, timewise, I wouldn't be doing it 4 times a week, because I just don't have time. But it is so short, it's over before you know it, so you can slip it in between errands, just before you jump in the shower, or while dinner is on the stove. I absolutely recomend this to any obese person who doesn't feel graceful or peppy or who is scared of having to stop in the first five minutes. That was me. The moves are simple, and very very soon you will be able to complete the mile. AFter two months with the Miracle Mile, I am now bying the 2 Mile Walk (and wondering why there isn't a 1.5 mile video???)

Of course, listening to the same patter over and over again is nauseating, but after you do it 10 times, turn down the sound so you can just barely here the thumping beat, and put on talk radio!

Summary: Fast and effective!
Review: This is one of my favorite Leslie Sansone walking tapes. Its a brisk 15 minute mile with upbeat music. Leslie is her usual encouraging self. She leads a group of exercisers with simple steps that are varied enough to prevent boredom but low impact and easy to do. I pop in the tape for a quick walk after meals. It burns calories yet doesn't take a lot of time. At the end of the tape she leads you in a few minutes of toning exercises. A super video!

Summary: Finally Enjoy Excercising
Review: Well I VERY overweight and have been looking for something low impact, convienent(sp?). I work long hours and had been trying to got to the gym during lunch, that didnt work. I also tried water aerobics, which I loved but was hell on my hair.

So I discovered the lesile sansone when I was looking for beginner yoga tape. I bought it the same day and I was hooked. I do it as soon as I get home. It takes all of 15-20 min and then I can go on with the rest of my night. I can get through the whole tape, but I stop about 3 times to catch my breathe. Once I can get through with no stops I'll move to the 2 mile tape.

The moves are easy and I love that she says you aren't hear to learn dance moves, and encourages you to move at your own pace.

The tapes are alil dated looking (someone commented in a review I read when I was deciding to buy), but I didn't buy this for style I bought it get in shape and it seems to be working.

Anyway, if you are someone who hates going to t gym, or excercise classes when you seem out of place, then this is for you.
