Summary: Excellent
Review: I've been working out steadily five times per week since mid-November, using an elliptical trainer about three times per week, along with weight training and a few other exercise videos. After three weeks, this DVD is still extremely challenging to me cardio-wise, though the choreography is relatively easy. For me, a sign of a good workout is a lot of sweat, and this one gets my hair soaking wet, every time! The major downside about the DVD version is the producer's opening advertisements, which cannot be skipped over.

Summary: Sorry, Tamilee but I hated this
Review: It's too high impact and too repetitive. Although it's format is ideal if you're time crunched, I just can't recommend it. I loved Tamilee's I Want That Body DVD and her other workouts but Cardio Blast is pure torture for me.

Summary: Great for the Pear Shaped
Review: Oftentimes after doing a workout I need to spend extra time working on my legs and butt. I am a pear shape, which means my waist is not an issue, but my J.LO butt (however, not toned) makes me look heavier than I really am. This DVD pays A LOT of attention to those problem areas and so I recommend it for the pear in us all!

Summary: the best cardio workout
Review: This is my favorite video. Tamilee Webb is an outstanding instructor. Her cuing is great and she is full of energy and lots of fun. I really like the music in this video--it gets you going. This is a great workout to do in the morning to wake you up and get you ready to start the day. The moves are simple, but not boring. I have tons of tapes that I use and I highly recommend this workout!

Summary: Good, short workout plus bonus features
Review: This workout is a good short workout to add on another workout or to work out when time is short. The DVD version has a 10 minute bun routine and an eating plan. Those are my favorite parts. The ultrafit nutrition guide and sample meal plan were very informative. Tamilee is a good instructor.

Summary: Short Intense Aerobics to Blast You into Better Cardio Shape
Review: Workout Description: about 27 minutes of aerobics cardio with a short 3 minute warm-up, 2 minute cool-down, and 2 minute stretch for a total of 34 minutes
Workout Level: mid-to very high intermediate; high impact; fairly basic choreography
Instructor: Tamilee Webb (Has degrees in Physical Education and Exercise Science; IDEA's 1993 Instructor of the Year; original Buns of Steel instructor). Tamilee is soft-spoken but serious about what she is doing. She restricts her chatter to cueing and pointing out facts about the muscles you're working.
Class: 2 young women
Music / Set: The beat-heavy sythesizer music is instrumental and standard exercise video stuff. The brightly lit set has a few pieces of exercise equipment scattered around an otherwise minimally decorated set. (This is the standard set used in the Natural Journeys videos.)
Equipment Needed: sneakers
Caveats: You may want to eliminate the pivots if you work out on carpet. The warm-up and cool-down are pretty short, so I often expand both when I have the time.
Additional Comments: You don't need much space for this workout. You should be able to take one big step forward and backward and two big steps to each side.
This video proves that a short workout can be intense, so it's great when you don't have a lot of time. It's not the most exciting workout, but it's effective. I really don't do this workout as often as I should. . .
There is a companion tape, which uses a step and weights for toning. You don't need both. (I only have Cardio Blast.)
The DVD allows you to select the chapter or play the workout with music only. Bonus features include a 10 minute buns workout (with mostly squats), a nutrition guide with menus and recipes, a photo gallery of Tamilee, trailers for other Tamilee workouts, and testimonials from people who do Tamilee workouts w/ before & after pictures.
