Summary: Not worth the money
Review: I purchased this dvd thinking that it would be very relaxing before bedtime. I also own the Crunch - The Perfect Yoga Workout dvd, which I really like a lot.

I was extremely disappointed in Candlelight Yoga, mainly because all they did was take a section of The Perfect Yoga Workout and put it on a dvd and call it Candlelight Yoga.

For a relaxing workout, buy Crunch-The Perfect Yoga Workout. You will get much better results and wake up feeling very relaxed and refreshed.

Summary: This DVD changed my life!
Review: I purchased this DVD to relax my breathing and help me sleep at night. I've been following the 1 hour workout before bedtime for the last month and have acheived dramatic results. Thanks to the techniques used to slow breathing rate, I've gone from a person who needed 10 hours of sleep to feel rested to waking up WITHOUT AN ALARM CLOCK after 6 hours of refreshing sleep. The moves are simple and the instructor gives options to make the moves more or less challenging depending on your skill level. The instructor's voice is pleasant, and she provides enough verbal instruction that you don't need to look at the screen at all after the first viewing. The music is pleasant, and the 15 minute energizing routine is a nice bonus feature.

Summary: Another Wonderful Tape
Review: I purchased this video several months back, and it quickly became one of my favorites. I like Sara Ivanhoe's approach to giving instruction. She's calming and relaxing, and while she explains how to do the poses, she repeatedly reminds you that this practice should be relaxing. For those of you who find that power yoga defeats the concept of what yoga is all about, you should find this an enjoyable tape. I rotate through several of my yoga videos, but I really like to do this one before bedtime, because it puts me in a nice relaxed state. If your an advanced yogi, this might not fit your bill, but you might enjoy it when you need a break and just want to center and calm yourself. I just purchased On the Ball - Yoga Workout for Beginners with Sara Ivanhoe, and I can't wait for it to come in the mail.

Happy Yoga Practice!

Review: I wanted a quickie yoga video to do at the end of the day and this is perfect. I'm a beginner/intermediate student and I appreciated the modifications for some of the poses. It's a great way to unwind after a busy day!

Summary: i really loved this yoga dvd
Review: i've tried yoga tapes before, i have a limited attention span and had problems keeping focused without laughing to the yoga talk. i'm so glad i took a chance by the other reviews cause this workout was the best one i've had so far and can't wait until i can fit it in my schedule again. simple yet effective and i definatly felt stretched relaxed and centered. Sara was a wonderful instructor she used common speak for the most part and did explain things like breathing and position very well she also encourage just to laugh and do your best. i highly recomend this DVD to supplement and add yoga to an exercise plan.

Summary: My favorite yoga DVD, period.
Review: If you enjoy a meditative, deep breathing, gentle stretching kind of yoga (versus a sweaty, difficult, strength building yoga) then I highly recommend this DVD. I've never found a yoga DVD that I like better than this one.

Summary: Pretty good!
Review: Just did this one last night, and I really enjoyed it! For the rest of the night I noticed that I was standing taller and breathing much deeper than before, and I also felt much more peaceful. It's 45 minutes long and not rushed like many other videos. A lot of attention is paid to getting your breathing right and proper form for the poses. The warm-up is superb. I found a few of the poses awkward and so I modified at will. Of course the best feature of this video is the instructor, Sara Ivanhoe, who has one of the most calming, soothing voices ever. She is one of the best yoga instructors I've ever had the pleasure of doing yoga with! (by video of course) She steadily reminds you that you are not expected to be as flexible as she is and that you should just do what you are comfortable with, and that your flexibility and strength will increase with time and regular practice. When I want a tougher workout, I'll still reach for Crunch: The Joy of Yoga or Karen Voight's Yogasculpt, but for those stressful days or days when I'm not feeling 100%, this will be the video I reach for! Buy it!
