Rating: Summary: Excellent workout Review: As is normally the case for new aerobic workouts, you have to give yourself time to master all of the moves, but this workout is very rewarding and motivating.
Cindy Crawford has made a too-tall body that would normally considered freakish into a work of art. Normally, "super stars" are major geeks in high school and its brutal sorting of personalities but then they learn to value themselves.
Britney Spears failed to do so and the result is that terrifying emptiness we see in her eyes in Mike Moore's Fahrenheit 911, where she says we must obey the President in a dazed fashion, but generally speaking, "stars" who actually participate in the creation of these workout tapes have to contribute a modicum of real presence...as did the pioneer of these workouts, Jane Fonda.
Of course, many people merely want the appearance and not the reality; there is something nasty about Britney's body which Cindy's doesn't share, because the former's regimen probably includes drugs to both keep pounds off, and numb her to the reality of her situation as a commodity.
It might be thought that an aerobics tape of what Foucault called *technique de soi* is indeed a thin rail to support such ponderous (and lecherous) speculation. But meaning is in the differences, and the difference inherent in aerobics tape is that they, like cigarettes, are audience participatory.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Athletic Workout Review: An excellent athletic workout. A complete and challenging workout. I have used this workout during the winter months when I am not able to run and it prepares me for my first 5-K when the warm weather returns. I love the energy and the variety of this workout. I am not a very coordinated person and I hate aerobic workouts with all sort of dance steps therefore I am in love with this athletic workout. My VHS tape is in bad shape and I am so glad the DVD version is out.
Rating: Summary: Not so challenging im afraid... Review: No i did not like this tape. I was surprised that it really wasnt that challenging as her first tape had me dripping w/sweat.
there wasnt enough cardio and the arm work wasnt challenging at all. The only good part was the ab section that was actually a little hard for me. But again, her first tape is alot better, better music, better routines, everything.
Rating: Summary: great workout Review: Much more fun than the first video. Cindy really helped me change my lifestyle 5 years ago after my second pregnancy. Doing these exercises every day or at least every second day or combining with the first video to make it all more interesting - shows real results within two weeks. Regarding the injuries some reviews mentioned - I have no idea what they re talking about. A person should listen to his / her own body, wheather the demonstrator gives explicit instructions or not... I had no problems with pain during or after the exercise (well except those pains telling me the workout was effective). And believe me I was a real beginner, in a very bad shape at the start... It was hard at first and I had to finish earlier with some sets. But being stuborn though careful I was able to follow up Cindy completely within couple of weeks.
Can t wait to receive the last Cindy s DVD I just ordered.
Rating: Summary: I lost inches and 15 pounds for my wedding! Review: Cindy Crawford's The Next Challenge is amazing. I was a Junior in college when I became engaged and had to loose my "Freshmen 15" in order to feel like a princess at my wedding. This workout changed my lifestyle and helped me feel my best for my big day. The way she mixes cardo with leg toning, arm strength and abs, chest exercises and more abs creates a full body workout that leaves you breathless but statisfied. The Next Challege has changed my perspective on staying fit, I will swear by it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Worked for me since 1995!! Review: I first used this tape in 1995 while I was in 10th grade and wanted to tone up and lose some weight. It worked!! Now almost 10 years and one baby later, I reached back for this video. I know it will get me back in shape again and I'm ready for the challenge.
