Summary: Cheesy - that's the word I was looking for!
Review: I bought this & the Buns of Steel tape at the same time when I was 4 months & I rarely watch this one - I'm now 7 months & I think I've done the aerobic part of this tape twice. The moves are not as crisp or something - a little too pop music dance-y for me - made me want to put on my lace gloves with the fingers missing, lots of bangles & a big lace bow in my hair, like Madonna a la Lucky Star. There's a lot going on in the background & there are a lot of women doing the work out too, some a little annoying & distracting. I do like the specific toning areas of the tape - I often do the Buns of Steel workout & follow up with some of the workouts from the toning section of this tape. And the little bubbles that have Kathy giving info about the purpose of the moves or how to perform them correctly is helpful, but not enough to make me want to do this tape.

Summary: boring!
Review: This is 1980's basic aerobics at it's cheesiest. I understand the need to take things easier when pregnant and modify your workout moves for safety, but for someone who is used to fast-paced, exciting workouts like Tae-Bo, this was just way too "Jazzercise" for me. Not only was it too slow, but the moves and music were just really boring. I did the workout once and haven't put it back in. A brisk walk through the neighborhood does more for me, both aerobically and mood-wise.

Summary: I love this DVD
Review: I love this DVD. I purchased it during my 7th month of pregnancy when I was feeling fat and unmotivated. Since then, I have used it faithfully. Kathy presents a good workout that is challenging but appropriate for even late stages of pregnancy. It's refreshing to exercise "with" other pregnant women rather than supermodels in skimpy clothing.

I appreciate the information Kathy includes and am looking forward to using this right up to my delivery and after (she even includes postnatal exercises). The rap is a little much, but I always get a drink at that point. I feel 10x better physically and am enjoying a positive outlook on my expanding belly thanks to this DVD.

Summary: I love this DVD
Review: I love this DVD. I purchased it in my 7th month of pregnancy when I was feeling fat and unmotivated. I have used it faithfully since then. Kathy does a good job of providing useful information during the workouts and explaining why we are doing certain things (abs and Kegels, for instance). It's also refreshing to do a workout and feel surrounded by pregnant women instead of supermodels in skimpy clothes.

This DVD has made a significant difference in the way I feel physically (more energy) and the way I feel about my body. It's good to feel good! I recommend this DVD to all pregnant women.

Summary: Great Pregnancy Workout
Review: This is a great tape. I am a Kathy Smith fan and this is as good as her other tapes. I thought it would be too easy, but I worked up a sweat without ever feeling overexerted and think it was good for me and the baby. It isn't as recent as her non-pregnancy tapes and the rap was a little cheesy but it was still very enjoyable and I would highly recommend it.

Summary: Excellent and safe pregnancy workout
Review: There are not very many pregancy workout videos out there, but I have to say for the few there are, this is one to get. Yes, the rap routinue in the middle is annoying (just fast-forward through it), but the workout felt as challenging as any of the other tapes I used before pregnancy and was safe. She also provides a lot of information regarding pregnancy that was helpful.

Summary: awesome
Review: My mom did this video when she was pregnant with me and is now doing it with her second pregnancy. I've never been pregnant, so I've never done it, but it looks really good. I have watched it before. Some pregnancy workouts may not give you that much of a workout, but this one looks like it does. It starts with an energizer, and then there is three aerobic sections. In between sections Kathy has you make sure that you are working at the righ tpace by three different methods. One of them is a borg scale. One of the other ones is a heart rate check. And the third one, which also seems like the funnest one, is a pregnancy rap song. After the aerobic sections there are sections for toning your legs, arms, and abs. Then there is a cool down and an active relaxation period. Then there is a post natal section. She shares a mild recovery routine with you and gives you tips on breastfeeding and other baby tips. I would reccomend this to any pregnant woman.

Summary: Post Partum section is extremely bad
Review: I used this video along with two other videos; yoga, and buns of steel. I purchased this video because of the two sections it has and was really looking forward to using the postpartum after I had the baby. The prenatal routine is long but it is not hard at all. When played the postpartum section I found out that is entirely explanations of exercises to regain your fitness level there is not an actual routine I was really disappointed. Also my OBGYN told me that I could exercise six weeks after delivery, and the postpartum section is about your first six weeks after delivery. I would not recommend this tape.

Summary: VCR Copy
Review: I think my title says enough. May have been a good workout back in 1990 on VCR, but it's 2002. Buyer beware of DVD's that are just copies of VCR tapes....
