Summary: Not as great as Baby Mozart but close.....
Review: My son loves Baby Mozart. No, I mean it, he *really* loves Baby Mozart. However, I grew so tired of watching it, that if I had to watch it one more time, I was about to cut off my toe. So, I decided to get a new DVD, this time Baby Beethoven.

All in all, I'm pleased with it, as my son does enjoy Baby Beethoven (more so in the beginning definitely). However, Baby Beethoven definitely doesn't hold my 9 month old's attention the way Baby Mozart used to. The puppets are definitely the best part, but that's because my son *loves* puppets. I've noticed a few of the toys spotlighted are similar to Baby Mozart, which was a bit surprising.

The biggest disappointment, though, for my son, was the frequent spotlight of children playing with toys. My son apparently has no interest in watching children on the TV play with toys. But if your child likes to watch other children/babies play interspersed with toys and puppets, then your child will probably like this video. Even with the children highlighted (unlike Baby Mozart where there were no children), I'd still recommend this DVD. Variety is good.

Summary: it's ok
Review: After hearing and reading so many good comments about the Einstein series I decided to buy this DVD when my baby was eight months. He enjoys watching it and sits in front of the TV for at least the first 15 minutes. He specially loves the puppets and watches them with a lot of interest. The problem is that there is one part after about 15 min where the music gets annoying both for my child and for me so I always have to go and fastforward those few minutes otherwise my child starts "complaining".
Although my child has enjoyed this DVD quite a lot I don't think I will buy another Einstein DVD. It was rather disappointing spend almost $$$ to basically see just toys with background music. I expected something more elaborated. Besides, it lasts only 25 minutes. ...

Summary: My Baby Boy Prefers Another Video.
Review: My 13 month old boy didn't sit still for this one. I've tried three separate times now. The only videos that seems to rivet him to the set are "Singing Babies Nursery Rhyme Time" and "Singing Babies Toddler Tunes." I think it's because they feature real baby faces that appear to sing the nursery rhymes. This definitely intrigues him enough for multiple viewings at a time!!! So, if you have to get a Baby Einstein product, check out "Baby Mozart" over this one. But if you want a slam dunk with the little ones, try "Singing Babies."

Summary: Wonderful DVD
Review: Friends had recommended the Baby Einstein DVD's to me. This was the first one I bought. And what a great choice. Our 6 month old loves this DVD. It almost puts him in a trance. IF it is on, his eyes are only on the TV. He has only in the last month really got interested in it, though we have had it since he was 3 months old. Before he would lose interest quickly. Now he can sit through the entire thing without even blinking. I highly recommend this to all new parents. I love to listen to the music while doing housework, and he sits in his swing enjoying every minute. The repeat play mode is a great plus on the DVD format.

Summary: What a Lifesaver!
Review: This is the first Baby Einstein video we have gotten and my 6 month old son loves it! He got it for Christmas, so he was only two months old at the time, but I couldn't believe that a video could catch and keep his attention for a full half hour. I am not impressed either with the introduction before the video but since this is our first video I didn't realize the others show it at the end. My husband and I can't stand to sit and watch the video but it sounds like some of the other ones may be better. I have also noticed my son will start fussing during certain parts of the video but then when something more interesting (to him at least)comes on he won't make another sound. This video has been a real help many times when he is fussy and nothing else makes him happy. I just pop it in and I have a half hour of quiet time and I use that time to get some much needed things done. I have been excited about buying another video but I would prefer to have something I would be able to sit through. I also have some of the Baby Einstein books and I am anticipating when he is older so I can get the flashcards as well. We have tried other animated Disney movies but none can hold his attention like this. I am reading reports of not liking this tape so well but I am even more anxious to try the other ones if they are better than this! I recommend these tapes to everyone I know with infants!

Summary: Nice video, yet old version
Review: The new version comes with a music CD for free, which our baby actually likes more than the video. So if you really want to buy it, look for the newer version that has the cd included...

Summary: Wonderful!!!
Review: My 6 week old just LOVES this!! We have been showing him the DVD since he was born and now he will watch the whole thing sitting in his bouncy seat. Today I actually played it all the way through - TWICE!! We bough the whole set and just adore all of them but Baby Beethoven is the best by far!!

Summary: The worst Baby Einstein title to date
Review: My two year old son loves the Baby Einstein series, and can watch them over and over again. We were really looking forward to buying this new title when it came out, thinking the creativity and quality would be just as high as the rest of the series. Boy, are we wrong! The quality of the recording is so terrible, as noted by another reviewer, that we are thinking of returning the video to the manufacturer because we doubt switching for another copy at the store would solve the problem. The content is dull and uninspiring. During his first viewing, my son, an avid fan of the Baby Einstein series, yawned through the video and stopped watching it all together halfway through. As parents who don't mind sitting through countless showings of the other Baby Einstein titles, my husband and I were totally bored as well. What a shame. We are now very hesitant to buy the newest title, Baby Neptune, without seeing a copy first (either from a friend or the library). We hope Disney didn't "institutionalize" Ms. Aigner-Clark and her team's creativity and that Baby Beethoven is just a one-time mishap in a great children's video series.

Summary: Great video!
Review: My son received this video for Christmas when he was 9 mos. He is now 1 and we love this video!! On many occasions, it's been a lifesaver. We've used it when he's upset and nothing else calms him down. He likes "talking" to the video and often laughs at it. However, I think I've recently discovered the best thing about this video - it's a great time to trim his fingernails!! I don't like having to fast forward through the ads at the beginning but it's not a huge issue. This is our only Baby Einstein video but we are planning on getting more - we have several of the board books which are also excellent.
