Summary: 2 year old and 4 year old, both love it
Review: My two year old and four year old absolutely love this video series. I recomend buying all three. They really compliment one another, and each one is even more fun than the last.

My children would rather watch this than Sesame street!

Summary: Signing Time
Review: The Signing Time videos are the only ones I've seen for young children that consistently use real American Sign Language. Yes, any kind of sign language can help babies develop communication skills at an earlier age, but learning ASL gives them the advantage of being able to communicate with other people who use it. You wouldn't invent words that sound sort of like Spanish or Russian and teach them to your baby, so why show disrespect for deaf people by using their language that way? The Signing Time videos are fun to watch and my grandson loved the first one so much that we bought the other two.

Summary: Wonderfully fun!
Review: After several ear infections we thought our 3 1/2 year old daughter would be slightly hearing impaired. We had gotten several books from the library, but not knowing any signs ourselves this was not easy. So we searched the internet and found the Signing Times series. Our little girl loved it. There are so many benefits we gained from this series, but most surprisingly our 18 month old daughter became a lot less fussy trying to get her point across. Her tantrums diminished noticeably! They both love watching the kids in the movie, and often request watching this over some of their animated favorites.

Summary: What it's lacking
Review: I found this video to be terrific, except for one thing. Basic manners were missing. Two words I want my kids to say or sign are "please" and "thank you". I had to find signs for these words from other sources. I also noticed that on volumes 2 and 3 that these signs continue to be a no show. Other than that, I recommend it.

Summary: Uplifting
Review: We recently found out our daughter was profoudly deaf. I was very depressed and upset because I never even knew anyone who was deaf. I was told that I needed to learn sign language to comunicate with her. This video was exciting and uplifing. My two year old daughter watched it so many times that she picked up on the signs quicker than I did. It made me realize that it was o.k that she is deaf and there are beautiful and intelligent children that cannot hear and it is not the end of the world. Thank you

Summary: My 18 month old is a signing genius now!
Review: My friend recommended this DVD series (along with the music CD) and I bought it, sight unseen...My daughter, 1 1/2 years old, LOVES it! She starts signing from the very beginning intro song and tries so hard! I love to watch her, it makes me giddy happy to see her bob her head up and down to the beat while moving her hands like on the screen. Even my older kids (11 and 5 yr old boys) will sit through this DVD over and over and sign. I must say, they are all getting quite good!!! We are doing this because we have a little cousin who is deaf. Who knew that this series would be so fun AND effective for all ages?! Bravo! MORE! MORE! (yes, I'm putting my fingertips together in the sign as I say , "MORE!")

Summary: NOT ENOUGH OF A GOOD THING
Review: This is a nicely done video, but I was disappointed there are only 18 of the most basic ASL signs on it. My son and I already knew all of them from books we've shared. I also love the music, but again, there wasn't enough of it! The open song is over so quick and that's it until the credit song. I really like this song (Show me a Sign) and the lyrics to it. I think my baby will too, once he's older. He does enjoy watching the kids sign, but 1 word seems to last quite a long time, sometimes as long as 2 whole minutes, so he loses interest after a while. I would've given this tape five stars, but there just weren't enough signs and the presentation was a bit slow for us.

Summary: Excellent, excellent, excellent...
Review: I had the privilege of borrowing the 3-pack of DVDs from a friend, and my 3-year-old daughter cannot get enough of them. We now have our own set coming in the mail. She loves the songs that use all the new sign language she has just learned in the videos. The DVDs also give you the ability to review the signs that were shown throughout the video or to listen to the songs again or to look at a specific chapter/word again. Although I have not had the opportunity to look at many signing videos, I'm sure these have to be one of the very best. You will not be disappointed!

Summary: FANTASTIC VIDEO
Review: I bought this for my granddaughter's 5th birthday. In one viewing she learned how to sign at least a dozen words. (Her brother who just turned 2 even learned several of the words.) She was very excited to show her daddy what she learned and retained the information the following day. Her whole family is now "into" signing!! What a fabulous video.
