Review: I saw the 1976 version, and it was slow and boring! This movie had all the things one would look for; tragedy, love, fear, fights, and a very happy ending. I loved it!

Summary: PAINFULLY BAD
Review: This film should have been a classic: John Malkovich, Gabriel Bryne, Gerard Depardieu, Jeremy Irons, and Leonardo DiCaprio (who in fact can act when given a proper script) in a swashbuckling film. But within a half-hour the script was making my brain scream in agony. I've heard more intelligent dialogue on football broadcasts and fewer cliches in a Rogers & Hammerstien musical. And the miscasting was abhorrent. Depardieu as Porthos, sure. Gabriel Byrne made a wussier D'Artagnan than I'd like, but he at least put some dignity into his uniform. Malkovich and Irons, however, should have switched parts. Irons has exactly the aristocratic detachment and still-waters-run-deep passion to play Athos, and Malkovish would have been ideally suited for Aramis' intellectual detachment. Instead, we have Jeremy desperately trying to be the life of the party (as the brains behind the plot to switch the king with his twin), while John couldn't be less convincing as a broken-hearted father of one of King Leo's victims. DiCaprio, meanwhile, had two parts and couldn't make either of them more than one-dimensional. By the end you're hoping for all of them to drown in the sewers underneath Versailles. This was the writer who gave us Braveheart?

Review: I don't understand that the other people who saw the movie give so much comment. Especially the boys. All the actors have playd very good. And DiCaprio his rol as twinbrothers was great. And I am not a fan of him but I must commit that it was a great movie!!!

Summary: A touching, swashbuckling wonderful movie.
Review: I thought this was a wonderful movie. Leonardo did a superb job playing twins and the other performances were top notch as well. This was no chick-flick; men have something to enjoy with the competitiveness of the Musketeers and also the touching scenes of friendship between these men. Rarely in movies are men portrayed as sensitive beings and rarely are close friendships between men celebrated as much as in this film. I recommend for anyone who enjoys history and romance.

Review: Most people have never seen this movie 9and they should) for one reason: Leo. Hey, I'm a teeenager girl, and I lovede this film because of the action, not Leo. This movie has kept me hooked everytime I've seen it. The acting in this movie was excellent over all, with a few exceptions. The seriousness of this movie was well balanced with the humorous antics of Portho's lack of intelegence. And who can forget lines like,"I'm a genious, not an engeneer."(Irons) I think everyone who saw this movie will have to agree that this movie deserves far more cretit then it received.

Review: This is a very interesting movie, which mingles history, drama, betrayal and love seen through the eyes of the thee musqueteers, the king, his brother and the queen. It also has a great cast, and the performances of Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, Gabriel Byrne, Gerard Depardeau and Leonardo DiCaprio are outstanding!!!

Review: This is a VERY good movie!! I am surprised that more people do not love it!! the costumes are GREAT the acting is good and it is VERY interesting to watch!! I am sure though that ALOT of the people that do not like it are girls who are jealous of Leo's fame or guys that are even MORE jealous!! Leo did a fine job in this movie(not the best in his career so far but he did quite well) along with everyone else!! You guys who are jealous of Leo , why don't you stop dissing the movies he is in that happen to (usuually)be quite good and get over your jealousy(or at least try!!)!!

Review: The Man in the Iron Mask is a wonderful action movie. Yet some parts were very unnecessary but the acting was great accept for the fact that they could not pronounce french names. I thought that they could handle the drama very well. I could sit there crying for a 1/2 hour afterwards. A very well put together movie.
