Summary: Brosnan "Steals" The Show
Review: The Thomas Crown Affair really kept me guessing throughout the entire film. It is loaded with plot twists that make for one entertaining film.

The acting is superb in this movie. Pierce Brosnan plays a wonderful thief who steals items for the mere fun of it. He does a great job of selling his character, and I truly appreciated the acting during the actual robbery scenes. He proved his acting ability in these scenes, which is highly unusual, considering that most scenes like this are merely action shots and quick camera angles.

Rene Russo was the perfect accessory actress to Brosnan, as she was definately in a role that is not typically suited for her. Nonetheless, she did a remarkable job. Faye Dunnaway was a sensational addition to the film as well. Her character and, more importantly, her good acting, helped give the film an overall cohesive storyline.

The film had a really nice plot that had enough twists and turns to keep you interested. The flow was good, and the film was quite entertaining. Overall, it was a real enjoyable film.

Summary: Best Picture for dazing story; great acting & touch of class
Review: This movie is fast paced; with alot of camera angles. Cleaver dialogue between Thomas Crown and Catherine Banning are the hallmark of the picture. A lot of good action and adventure are in each scene as the romance grows, a stuggle for truth and study of human nature is the focus of movie's climax. Great musical scores accent each scene and adds to the touch and feel of the movie. You will see it again and again to get a fuller appreciation on the movie's scenes, music and acting. Bold and very well done!

You cannot loose in buying this movie for your collect especially if you like Rene and Pierce.

Summary: You're Better Off Seeing the Original
Review: The original THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR had high drama; Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway really knew how to keep up the suspense. The remake is cuter and livelier, but this doesn't make it better. A certain restrained aura about the original flick gives it a tenseness that we share; the remake is too active, jumbled, does too many things at once. I wish someone would tell me why Hollywood engages in so many remakes of perfectly fine movies. If the answer were: "to take a fine movie and make it better in one respect," I'd applaud. Sometimes a classic movie can be made better. Suppose the original is in black-and-white; maybe color would make the remake better (or maybe not). Maybe the flaw in the original was an ending imposed by the old Hollywood code; a more satisfying and realistic ending in the remake would be a good reason to remake the movie. My fear, however, is that the producers these days who want to remake an old movie have no idea what it is about the old movie that they can improve. In short, they have no imagination, no artistic vision, just a desire to remake a movie. Maybe they hope that some people will see the title 'THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR' and say, "Hey, I've heard of that, it's supposed to be pretty good," and buy the DVD and, to their surprise, it's not the movie they heard of but just the remake. I bet BEDAZZLED is another of these disappointments, though I haven't seen it; but I can hardly imagine improving on the great original BEDAZZLED. I'm a sucker for these remakes, because I keep wondering how they could have improved on the original, and 49 times out of 50 I'm disappointed. Bottom Line: See one of the THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR movies, preferably the original, but the remake is OK; if you see the remake first and you like it, you're in for a treat with the original!

Summary: Watched it over and over again
Review: This is one of my favorite movies. It has an excellent plot and is extremely well done. Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo work tremendously well together and you can feel the chemistry as they banter back and forth with each other on screen. Several of my friends have watched this movie, per my recommendation, and they loved it. Would definitely recommend seeing it! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Summary: I wish I could give no stars
Review: This movie sucked! It went on and on. It was extremely boring. Overacted and melodramatic are the words I would use to describe the romance between the two main characters. The last two minutes were cool, but it is definitely worth neither the money nor the time to sit there waiting for it.

Summary: The perfect romantic thriller....flawless!
Review: This is a great movie, stylish, well done, suspenseful throughout. The person that gave this movie "one star", criticizing it as unrealistic, completely misses the point. True, maybe there are a few things that are far fetched, but so are the James Bond movies for that matter. It's all about fun. This movie is very well done on all accounts. Casting was perfect. Rene Russo, one of the few models who can actually act, appears to be expert at picking plum roles for herself. I've yet to see her in a bomb. You will love this movie, and if you are putting together a film library, this should definitely be in it!

Summary: The Thomas Crown Affair
Review: I have watched this movie 20 times, and still take pleasure from the script, the actors, and scenes. Each time I watch this movie, I realize how Thomas Crown has predicted her every move, and has in place two options. If she takes option A, he wins, and if she takes option B, he wins. The net result is that he wins her, a female who loves the chase, and loves to win by catching the criminal.

In this version of the Thomas Crown Affiar, he wins her, and at the same time defeats her every move, thus gaining her respect and her love for what he can create, based on circumstances.

The movie takes me to a place where money is no object, only the game, and the results, are what push the male ego one step ahead of the the Female.

This is the best movie that I have ever watched on DVD and would recommend it to any true romantic that loves what money can buy.

If only I could be Thomas Crown!

Summary: One of the worst movies ever made
Review: I know I am reviewer number 160 and no one will read my review. Nevertheless, this movie was terrible. The love affair between Russo and Brosnan was completely unbelievable, Russo was a horrible cast for the lead female, seeing as how she is just tooo old for a traditionally young part, why she is allowed to continue to hang around the police station is beyond me, you CANNOT roll a painting up, and you CANNOT get a painting wet, and you CANNOT paint over...this movie is just soooo stupid in so many aspects, it is dificult to pick just one. I suppose I might as well just say that Brosnan is made out to be the perfect male that every woman would want...if you fell for it, you have been successfully suckered.
