Summary: Great Balls of Fire!
Review: Young or old, male or female you will love this movie because you are bound to be captivated by any one of the actress/actors and feel as if you are part of the movie. Well I guess so we wish. But besides the plot ,which will arouse many strong emotions within you, this movie has great cinematography, very nice sound effects, and couldn't have been made better for its time. This is sureley a moive that you will watch over and over, and if you don't I'll pay for your puchase price of the movie but you'll have to give me hard evidence, no touchy feely excuses :)
So sign off the internet jump in that car and go grab a copy or better yet click a few buttons and buy it right here at amazon. ( I hope they send me a gift certificate or something for saying that)
Enjoy the movie and don't day dream too much afterwards.

Summary: One of my favorites
Review: Just recently bought a DVD player and this is one of 2 movies I wanted to buy in DVD, the other being "Grease" but it is not out in DVD yet. I first saw this movie in the theaters when it first came out and it's been one of my favorites since.The flight scenes in DVD are awesome and the music hooked up to my speakers is GREAT! I don't have Dolby or anything fancy, just an old receiver and Bose bookshelf speakers but it still sounds fantastic, better than I expected. If you love this movie and you have a DVD player, this is a must DVD for your collection.

Summary: On dvd at last for a good old waltz down 80's Boulevard
Review: Nice to see it on DVD, but surley no one needs a review of this film? Just a thought though...... you all remember the bit when Maverick races off on his bike UP the hill towards the beach to reclaim his love interest? Well, if he was tearing up that hill the next bit of beach he would come to would be in Florida. As I said just a thought.

Review: All i have to say is Top Gun is a classic. i grew up watching this movie. i think it is tom's best movie. he's definalty the hottest in this one. the music is great and there are great supporting actors and actresses in this movie....meg ryan, val killmore..gotta love em!

Summary: Typically American, but still riveting action.
Review: I first enjoyed this movie with the privilege of the big screen. Will definitely invest in DVD surround sound format eventually. Well worth watching. Typical storyline of trainee falling in love with trainer. However, it goes deeper than that. 'Maverick' has to prove to everyone, including himself, that he is a 'Top Gun' in his own right - not merely a shadow of his father, who flew before him and was KIA. Once you've seen a few movies, the plot becomes predictable, however the action, and also the soundtrack are definitely 5 star! Great flick!

Review: I own the VHS version and now the DVD. The flying scenes are among the best I've ever seen in any movie. If you have a DVD player in your home theatre system with surround-sound, don't miss out on this action packed movie. The sounds are incredible! I've watched this movie 30 times and still haven't grown tired of it!

Summary: A good "show off" DVD.
Review: Top Gun has enough action, top stars, and plot to interest just about anyone - especially Tom Cruise fans. It's also a good DVD to show off your Dolby Digital sound system. The roar of the jets during the fighter sequences will have you worrying about your plaster coming loose and your subwoofer overheating. I'd give this a full 5 stars, but there are no extra features on the DVD. But the picture and sound quality still make it worth having.

Summary: A Classic film, a disappointing DVD
Review: This has to be one of the best films of all time. The air sequences are fantastic, the relationships between characters are excellently played out, the story overall superb and it's got the right music at the right times. The film gets 5 stars. However, when we choose to buy a film, we choose between two formats. The DVD should have extra features otherwise it is a waste of a format. I realise this is an older movie, but I'm sure they could have added something. Hence 3 stars. Buy it if you love the film, avoid it if you get annoyed (like I do) at DVD's without at least 1 or 2 features.

Summary: A Timeless Movie
Review: I first saw Top Gun when I myself was in the military. The movies are required to have some kind of flaw with thier military scenes, to not give away all of our secrets. This movie depicts military life and action with the most accuracy I have ever seen. This is why it is TIMELESS ! It is as awesome today as it was when it first game out in 1986. My 4 yr. old son liked the soundtrack before he even saw the movie. I told him " If you like this wait until you see the movie!" Now he has seen it at least 5 times and he loves it. So, I thought I would get him the video. AWESOME ACTION !
