Rating: Summary: The Butterfly Effect Review: Ashton Kutcher: He`s a dude ..... right? Wrong! In this movie, he is very believable as a troubled child with `family` problems, which bares down to the fact that his father is institutionalised. The reasons for the this become apparent across the 1hr 49mins of this movie, and I dont want to spoil it for anyone. The basis of the movie is time travel (so to speak - you`ll see for yourself). I wont say much more other than that to forget what you think about Ashton, good or bad - if you like your movies with a little twist, this movie is for you. If you liked Donnie Darko, then you`ll love this. The movie is well worth almost 2hrs of your life, trust me! Not only that, but the lovely Amy Smart is also in this movie, and looking lovely I might add (sorry if your female reading this, but I`m obviously male hehe). Go the cinema (sorry theatre), rent the dvd (when out) or better still, do what I`m doing ..... Pre-Order it from AMAZON :) Sweeeeeeeet!!

Rating: Summary: One of the best movies i have seen Review: At first, you dont know what is going on in the movie, that's good for building stress, then , you can at first see his life story , till the age of 21 or so , while every now and then , some black holes are made , because of the main character who has a starnge disease, then in the age of 21 or so , he remembers of his first girlfriend and his promise to get back to her. he meets her and the day after that she commited suicide. after that he starts to read his old logs, that he wrote when he was a child, the words scramble and he goes back to the past, the the event he just read about , when those black-holes were, and he soon understand that he can change the past, using this method, but each time he tries, the situation dont get any better , because there is not way to change the past so that everybody will be happy. he soon understand it and giving up for his girlfriend and comes back to the past , when he first met her , and scares her off, so that the two will never be met again. the story was stressful , but intersting. i recommend it , suitable for age of 13+. a double watch might be helpful because the movie is not so well-arranged and is very confusing. my rank: 5/5
Rating: Summary: Identity win Review: Although this DVD is really a big hit,my comment is very simple...Identity win. I find that this kind of pyscho movies are really intresting in term of schoking moments that you get right before the titles and that was my main reason when i saw this movie.Actually it did not disappointed me at all but still there is a question mark about it.... Butterfly effect is one of the film that you will really enjoy seeing it, but does not leave that deep impressons deep down your soul.U will tend to forget it after a while and maybe do not talk about it or recommended to a freind...and that's remain my question..why does this happen ??? athough it is a great movie...
Rating: Summary: Good film. Very creepy. Review: This reminded me of DONNIE DARKO. It wasn't as good as Donnie, but it was very interesing, and kept you involved in the story. Ashton Kutcher wasn't bad in his first dramatic role. Needless to say, I was very surprised. Even though it was very predictable at times, there was always a twist or two that you didn't see coming. Very weird. Recommended!
Rating: Summary: I Was Really Skeptical.... Review: but this turned out to be an awesome movie. I was really reluctant to see it becuase I really do not care for Ashton Kutcher *he annoys me*, but his acting in this movie was actually very well done. The movie's plot revolves around a young man and his discovered ability to change the past by going back to key events in his life that shaped who he became. It's difficult to tell more without spoiling the movie. It really is worth viewing yourself. However, it does require close attention because it can be confusing at times. Also, the ending is wonderfully bittersweet and really tied together the film. A definite 5 star viewing. Even if you are unsure about Ashton, the movie is really worth it.
Rating: Summary: This had an effect, but not a good one. Review: I heard nothing but good words before I saw this. I didn't hear or read any criticism, so I went into the movie with an open mind and lots of hope that this would be a movie that I would enjoy. I was very wrong. I was disturbed by parts (and I've seen some very disturbing movies, but this was just too much for me) and I was also bored halfway through the film. I saw about half and didn't watch the other half. I also couldn't stand all the switching screens all the time, I was losing my train of thought as to what was actually happening. I love 'psychological thrillers' as I would call this movie, but this..this was just not what I expected. At all. It almost makes me wonder if everyone was watching the same movie as I was. But I guess they were. Maybe you'll have to see it for yourself, but for me, I'll pass.
Rating: Summary: Great brain food! Review: This movie has a great premis, Ashton Kutcher did pretty good, but the movie really starts to build your brain cells! There were too many twists and turns and over 3 times in the theater I hear people sighing saying "which one is he..." Up until the finishing I still had to wonder myself, Is this the real up to date version of where his life is? I'd get it on DVD maybe some commentary could help enlighten me. I'd recommend seing this though for the suspense and again the twists and turns.
Rating: Summary: Mind blowing entertainment Review: I saw the Butterfly Effect and I thought it was great. This is a movie that plays with your mind and also the what ifs of life and your own brain. This movie will play with your head and then you start to think...what if this could really happen? Ashton Kutcher gives a mind blowing performance as a college student who can go back in time to certain areas where he blacked out and try to change things for the better but usually it just gets worse. It makes you think...if I could go back in time and change something from my past, would I? Definitely worth seeing.
Rating: Summary: The Butterfly Effect Review: This is definitely one of the most thought provoking movies I've ever seen.It has a very complicated plot where you need to pay attention to the entire movie but once you get it, it's all worth it.I think the previews for this movie really made it seem as if it was scary in a way but it's just a really really intense drama. To me,anyway. Some people might find this movie hard to watch because of some of the intense scenes having to do with death/suicide,violent children, and child pornography;but I believe all that just made the movie more real. The ending of this movie is also great. It's not exactly happy, but it's not completely depressing.I couldn't think of a better way the movie should have ended.I will definitely buy this movie as soon as it is released on DVD.I think it is probably my favorite movie.
