Summary: Nice DVD of an entertaining film.
Review: This film is highly entertaining, primarily because of Jerry Lee's music. The script gets sappy in some places, especially when it tries to "justify" Jerry Lee's obsession for his young cousin. But when the music is going, it's a gas. The DVD features an excellent transfer, and has the trailer as well. The only thing I miss is the video with Dennis Quaid and the Killer himself that was on the beginning of the old VHS tape. Otherwise, I recommend this DVD.

Summary: The best sounding Jerry lee cd of all !
Review: This is a beautifully recorded cd, the sound is really clear and Jerry sang with the energy of his youth. The piano solos come through crisp and clear and with the same youthfull energy. I own two of these cd's and would never be without one. A must for every Jerry Lee Lewis fan !

Summary: Good
Review: This is good, and Dennis Quaid even does a decent job singing in the duet he does with Jerry Lee. It's funny, though, how the "better" recording (technically) of the title song isn't as good as the original more murkier sounding one. But they're both good.

Summary: Not bad, but then not good
Review: This is okay. Dennis Quaid is rather over the top and Winona Ryder is her usual humdrum self. Looks good and there are some good comedic touches.

However, rather than his career being trashed by the scandal depicted here, in that he marries his 13 year old cousin, and then she gets pregnant, and slaps her about, he should have been jailed. Sorry, distasteful is not the word for it.

Summary: Quaid Really Rocks In This Role!
Review: This movie is just as good as The Buddy Holly Story and even Ritchie Valens' story, La Bamba. Dennis Quaid really got into the role of the Killer himself, Jerry Lee Lewis. Winona Ryder is also great playing his cousin/childbride, Myra. Alec Baldwin has a small role playing another cousin, Jimmy Swaggart. A fun movie all around. Worth owning just for the terrific soundtrack that includes most of Lewis' hits.

Summary: Dennis Quaid transforms into Jerry Lee Lewis!
Review: This movie is my absolute favorite movie of all time! It's exciting and adventurous! Once I first saw it I taped it and I haven't been able to stop watching it!

Summary: Jerry Lee Lewis is the man!
Review: This movie rocks and rolls from the very beginning. You see a young Jerry Lee being exposed to his early influences...to the making of a rock n roll star in Memphis, home of cool. Dennis does a fabulous job portraying Jerry Lee. All the way down to his mannerisms to those golden curly locks of hair! Just a great movie with an unbelieveable soundtrack too!
