Summary: Human
Review: I rented this movie a day ago because, I don't why. I watched it and enjoyed every second of it. i immediately ordered it because i can't find it anywhere. One of the best Independent-esque films I've ever seen. Has elements from other movies such as "Memento" and "Abre los Ojos" (being remade as "Vanilla Sky" by Cameron Crowe) Albeit this movie has a more Human aspect. Would you be willing to live with no memory? or die with it? The last half hour of this movie is beautiful and moving. Some of the flashback sequences are a bit incredulous in look, but hey, its a low budget, high quality film. Definitely worth a viewing if not purchased.

Summary: Beatuiful , yet very intriguing
Review: I saw this movie on Starz and i thought it was going to be really cheesy , but yet it turned out be a great fullfilling movie , I love it how the concept fits , barney is such a beatiful person with hope , yet it's sad to be an amnesiac. It portrays loosing everything and having just current things to remember the pictures and things that go through barney's head are amazing. i am glad he chose to live his life it was such a beatuiful story and a great movie .........

Summary: Interesting.
Review: I thought this was a pretty good movie and i admit I wanted to see it because of elijah wood.. he is just great and does a good job in this movie! I also like Joe Perrino.. at first i didnt even know he was in it too, then i saw it had 2 of my favorite actors together and was excited! It took me a few viewings to actually get it because it seems confusing at first. And i thought the ending was very well done.

Summary: Tough on the emotions and mind, but beautiful nonetheless
Review: I'll admit that my main purpose in seeing this movie was Elijah Wood, and still is. I saw it one day and bought it the next. But the movie as a whole is extremely beautiful and mind-boggling at the same time. Can reactivating the mind process really control diseases? I don't know. But I do know that the acting is wonderfully done by the entire cast, the writing is very good, and I just loved the movie all around. It's definitely not for everyone, but the concepts are ideas that I think everyone should think about at some point: Would you rather live and lose all memory of love in your life, or die with as much of that love as you can possibly get? Without giving it away, I'll just say that the ending confused me a bit . . . I couldn't decide what was really happening. Nevertheless, I loved it, and the main reason for my viewing (Elijah Wood) thoroughly lived up to the expectations! =)

Summary: Even Elijah Wood can't save this movie
Review: I'm a fan of Elijah Wood, but even he can't save this movie. The glacial pacing and confused story destroy an interesting premise. Also there is a total lack of chemistry between Elijah and Rachel Leigh Cook. The suffering of children with fatal illnesses is depicted with a certain realism in the Burto character, but it is only a partial picture because he is completely disconnected from his friends and family. Still, for me that was the most interesting part of the movie. The physicians are wooden zombies. Barney Snow's sufferings didn't project at all. Overall boring, a waste of otherwise talented actors.

Summary: Be not detached!
Review: I'm from Germany and I have heared from Elijah Woods performance in this movie. As far I can say, he does an amazing job. I was absolutly touched after watching this movie. Couldn't stop crying. I read the Book "The bumblebee flies anyway" too. So I was able to go deeper into the story. It is really a great movie and worth to watch, especially for Elijah Woods-Fan and all who believe in this brilliant actor.

Summary: Definitely not what I expected
Review: I've always had a thing against films I had never heard of. I never saw a preview for this one, so I automatically assumed it would be weird. The only reason I got it was because I've been in love with Elijah Wood since I was eight. Was it weird? Not at all.The plot is amazing, the story's amazing, the whole idea is amazing .
The other people who have reviewed this movie have done an excellent job at summarizing it, so I won't bore you. All I have to say is the acting is wonderful (especially Elijah, Joe Perrino and I thought Janeane Garofalo's portrayal was very good especially since she's usually in comedic roles)The score really stuck out to me, and definitely added to the emotion.
I tell yeah, I've seen this movie three times now and I still have a pulled heartstring. For any of you out there who have doubts about this movie, don't. It is a beautiful make-you- want-to-roll-up-in-a-ball-and-cry sort of movie...I loved it...

Summary: Read the Book!
Review: If this movie worked for you, that's great! It was a real disappointment to me although I love Elijah Wood's acting skills, and think Richard Cormier's books are fantastic to read.

Something was amiss with this movie - the acting other than that of Elijah Wood, Janeane Garofalo, and the young boy in the wheelchair, was stilted - they sounded as though they were reading, not acting. The adaptation from the book by the same name left out a lot, and the actors weren't able to relay that message very well.

It may be an OK movie if you haven't read the book - but don't watch it without reading the book, first!
