Summary: sit back and enjoy
Review: The movie has its faults. It's slow at first and the last scene that shows Nick and Amy (at least on the TV version) is lame. But it is enjoyable to watch. It's not suspenseful but it gives you sudden thrills and shocks. A mere few seconds can scare you pretty bad. It got my adrenaline going when Amy got stung by wasps. Cary and Alicia are great actors that fit their roles very well. Also worthy of honorable mention is Kurtwood Smith(you gotta see him in That 70's Show). Nick isn't that smart but is very admirable because he's nobody's fool. He's very deserving to have a girl like Amy. The concept that anyone out there can develop an obsessive crush is scary and watching this movie, with that concept, can send chills down your spine. I'm proof of that. I'm a girl but thinking of this movie and the possibility that any boy can become that obsessed with me is scary. The gender reversal in the sexual harassment and discrimination(when the cops were biased against Nick in the rape case) that goes on in The Crush is interesting and intruiging. And it is chilling.

Summary: The Crush... True story
Review: The movie is not only fun but a must see.. and the movie is now in my all time collection! well, I watched the movie years back but I had to recall the story of the movie and watch it again and again, as I am facing almost the same situation.. well I'm 25 and she is 15 and she has a crush on me 'no fun, trust me' and her mother (not father, like in the movie) is almost as same as Darian's father.. I've watched the movie thrice in last two days to understand few things about her moves.. I think you'd enjoy to understand the movie like i do (now) :)its fun and entertainment.

Summary: Entertaining, but suspend your (dis) belief
Review: The movie is pretty suspenseful, very entertaining, and wholey unbelievable.

Alicia looks very attractive, but too old (16+) for the character (14+) (my pet peeve). Cary Elwes' character, Nick, is a bit too forced for believability, and just doesn't ring true.

Some of the (implied) DNA science near the end may be a bit suspect, but since OJ got off, anything is possible.

Hated the clickety-clackety computer keyboard sounds and fake screen messages (pet peeve #2.)

Slightly above average, but worth the price if you are an Alicia fan. Could have easily been a bit better if "Darian" was 16, and Nick was not quite such a goofball.

Summary: clone of past movie greats
Review: This film tries to be something thrilling and touching, like Adrian Lynn's Fatal Attraction, and Stanley Kubrick's Lolita, but portrays young Alicia Silverstone as a teenage brat with a bad case of PMS, ultimately making her come off as nothing more than a moster movie cliche'. There is nothing original here when Silverstone torments Elwes with bees and keying his car, but you can't blame Silverstone for what is a bad script altogether. Just as bad as the 50's and 60's horror films about femme fatale's, except those might be alot more fun.

Summary: One of the BEST ever!
Review: This movie is awesome! Alicia plays a 14 year old girl who looks and acts like she's 19. She develops a crush on the 27 year old guy named Nick who moves into her mother's duplex. Of course, her crush turns into something much more intense. It turns into a very disturbing obsession! She devotes a little shrine in her basement to Nick, complete with candles and pictures. She even beats herself up and claims that Nick raped her and beat her! The cops even find his semen inside her. "But how could she do THAT??" you ask. Rent/buy this movie and find out!

Summary: this movie was pretty cool
Review: this movie was so cool. it was silverstone's first movie and i am a big fan of hers and it was cool to see her first work. the story could have been a little more well written. it was a little old but not as much as today. it was on some old channel one day and i was addicted to it. anyone could have predicted the ending though.

Summary: Quite the suspenseful movie......
Review: This one was pretty boring in the beginning, but it got better as it went on. Silverstone is quite the psycopath in this one. If you are starting out in the horror/suspense genre of movies, you should definitely give this one a try.

Summary: Brilliant performance by young star on big screen debut.
Review: This was a killer movie. Despite the "guilty pleasure" aspect of Siverstones underage sex appeal, you really feel empathy for Elwes in his predicament. When he goes into the house to look for his childhood photo, you get the classic thriller "Don't go in there!" sense that is such a staple of the genre. You just know he's going to regret it and should know better. Silverstone was absolutely brilliant as the complex character of a dangerous psychopath, troubled youth you feel for, evil genius, etc. Her ravishing beauty only served to make her character all the creepier, as any man would be greatly tempted to give in to her advances that you know are purely poisonous. Her star quality hinted at a career much more prolific than it has been. And you could tell the producers knew they were premering a new star to the big screen by the way they listed her last on the intro credits, "and introducing Alicia Silverstone."
