Summary: Dry up, critics
Review: Amazons' headliner "professional" critique should be tossed...this is a film that rattles the primal instincts of every working man, particullarly those that have been shafted by the legal system (a.k.a.: Divorce) as well as a decaying society. I doubt that there is a mild-mannered, dutiful employee out there who hasn't fantasized about total rebellion against the pressures of every day life that we all face. In that respect, this film provides a healthy outlet-you can identify with Douglas's character and cheer him on, "crazy" though he may be, instead of harboring wild fantasies on your own. Dry up, Lenny Maltin, that's the point!

Summary: This film is darn near perfect.
Review: Whenever I think of this film, I smile. It's just that simple. One day, in traffic, a man in Los Angeles finally snaps. He's tired of overpriced merchandise. He's tired of militaristic bigots. He's tired of bureaucratic, overly unionized construction workers. He's tired of 16-year olds in dorky uniforms speaking to him by his first name. He's tired of people who talk on pay phones for far too long. He hates kids who try to steal his hard-earned cash and con money out of him.

He's tired of it all.

And now, he's fighting back.

Arming himself, he becomes a one-man wrecking machine, wreaking havoc on all of society's modern day ills.

There's only two flaws with this picture. Unfortunately, those flaws are somewhat instrumental to the picture. The first one is something to do with his wife. They should have cut that right out of the film. That, or they could've re-shot the scenes. One or the other. The other flaw is...well, I'll let you watch the film.

This film kicks serious butt. If the rating system at this website had 18 stars, it still wouldn't be enough. So, I guess I'll just have to give it 5 stars instead.

Summary: This movie captures modern life extraordinarily
Review: Falling Down tells the life of a William Foster, a laid-off US defense worker. More accurately it shows us his degradation from a father and husband to a burnt-out and bewildered citizen in this country. Watching this movie the viewer gets the idea that Foster has taken all he can from society...and now he explodes. This film does glorify Foster's actions, but rather presents the idea that Foster, and many similiar people, are simply products of this highly greedy and industrialized country. Foster himself possessed the American Dream... and after losing it realizes he was fooled. I have watched this probably over 12 times and it still makes me think. It leaves the viewer Foster's line,"So I'm the bad guy, right?" After watching it it is not so easy to label him the villain because he has qualities inherent in everyone. I highly recommend this movie.

Summary: This has to be an all-time great
Review: Michael Douglas plays one of his most disturbing roles to date...and does it so well. This movie, as stated before by many reviewees, is like a game. In this one, you start out with no weaopn, but slowly, you get more powerful things, like a baseball bat, butterfly knife, gym bag full of automatics, bazooka, etc., etc. There is no super bad guy who Douglas is out to get, he just lashes out at the everyday things. Things like, overpriceing, poor coustmer service, gangs, territorial disputes, people who yell at you for being on a payphone for too long. You get the idea. The only bad thing about this movie, is that it's too short. if they made this at least a hlaf hour longer, it would be beautiful. Nonetheless, this is one of the best films ever made.

Summary: The Best movie these eyes have ever seen!!!!!
Review: Michael Douglas gets laid off from his job and rome's the streets of LA. Running into gang members, a nazi, and some old folks. If everyone in the movie stayed out of his way everything would be alright and the movie would have sucked. IT'S A GOTTA SEE MOVIE!

Summary: The Best D-FENS is Offence
Review: As another viewer has commented, this films plays out like a 'game' with D-FENS upgrading his weapons as he progressively defeats his 'enemies'.

This film plays out at two levels. There is the simple and blatent thrill of D-FENS in action as he beats, stabs, shoots and blows his way through the decay of L.A. in summer.

But the film to me seemed almost to be a social commentary on the rate of change in our society. One doesn't have to be a bigoted WASP male to appreciate that the rate of change in our society is leaving some people behind and creating insecurities in other that they can only relieve through violence.

Well worth buying.

Summary: Cool
Review: Michael Douglas flips out. The best part is when he shoots those people with a bazooka. Also, take care to note the awesome nazi guy, he's hilarious.

Summary: Rooting for Michael Douglas is a guilty pleasure.
Review: Douglas, as a laid-off defense worker, snaps in the midst of a traffic jam and metes out frontier justice L.A. style. This movie brilliantly taps into a widespread sentiment of powerlessness and anger toward gangs, graffiti, mass immigration, panhandlers, poor customer service, skinheads, and rude people in general. However, the movie gives him a fatal flaw (wife abuse) that lets us know he's not the real protagonist. No matter. In all other aspects, it's easy to identify with him and fantasize becoming a fearless urban vigilante.

Summary: a very strange movie, yet groovy
Review: This is a very groovy movie. Its somehow like a "Role Playing Game", he battles "enemies" and gains srtonger weapons along his one-day journey to his little girl's birthday. And whats really good about it is that the adventure starts in the very beggining. Another good thing about it is that how it cleverly shows how some people are just plain stupid. I would recommend this movie to people who like strange drama/action films with a weird mix of comedy sprinkled in. Kids may see this too, if they are alowwed to hear STRONG profanity and violence..but its not gory/bloody violent..its gun-like action-y violent.

Summary: the most spiffiest movie in the world!
Review: this is the coolest story, sure it doesn't really have a moral, but its funny! i'm not sure if it was actually made 2 be humorous, but if not, then its funny naturally! and isn't that better than those stupid action/comedy movies?? and its just as good as Face/Off! But this isn't a movie for picky people, if u r a picky one u should go rent it first...
