Summary: SIMPLE PLAN, NOT-SO-SIMPLE MOVIE
Review: This is a movie that really doesn't do anything wrong. Tense, suspenseful, on of my favorite movies from 1999. Billy Bob Thornton's performance is outstanding, with Bill Paxton and Bridget Fonda also doing well in their roles. A film that makes you think that even good people can do bad things. Not a conventional Hollywood thriller, which may disappoint some people. A must-see.

Review: If there is one movie that's a must, do see a "Simple Plan" You won't be sorry. You never know what to expect next. It is full of surprises and twists and turns. SEE IT!!!!!!!

Summary: A Simple Move That Simply Stinks!
Review: What a twisted pile of nothing! Obviously intended for those who of little education. This meandering mess is without any sincere attempt of movie making. It contains a good storyline that is never really explored. The only thing worthy in this failing feature is Billy Bob. His performance, as always, is outstanding. He has a way of getting inside a character and truly making that person real. Edit all else out and then you would have a movie. Paxton, Fonda - shame on the both of you for elementary acting and poor choices. Take a lesson from Billy Bob, if your gonna do a thing, do it right!

Review: This Film is Superb! And it's a GREAT tranfer on DVD!! It is also MUCH better then the book! The book didn't give enough motivation for the characters to do what they did. The movie makes it much more believable and emotional and gets the same points across doing it.

Summary: Very interesting and morally taxing
Review: The realness of the scenery was excellent for a small town in probably the midwest. I felt like I was driving through Defiance, Ohio. I was asking myself, how could this nice man who really had everything it took to be happy, turn into such a criminal? It really makes you realize how powerful money can be and how it can totally destroy someones life. I guess after watching this one I can believe what the bible says about "Money is the root of all evil." Nevertheless, I found myself asking what would I have done in the same situation...scarey!

Summary: Rollercoaster ride of unpredictable twists and chills
Review: Some of the finest acting I have ever seen. At last a movie that allows Bill Paxton to show what he's all about. Why Billy Bob Thornton did not win at Academy Awards is beyond me. It is great to see Billy Bob Thornton's character being torn between his brother and his friend. Do yourself a favor and watch this movie. It overflows with spine tingling suspense from beginning to end. The spiced up ending which differs from the book makes one of the few instances of a movie being better than the book. A good way to increase your love of the movie (if you haven't) is to read the book which goes deeper into the characters. It is a true 10.

Summary: Upsetting disc for a Great Film
Review: I saw this movie in the theatre and it was unreal. I bought the DVD as soon as it came out and the picture transfer is awesome. The snowy scenery and landscape is so clear, it makes the blazing summer feel like winter. But I am kind of disappointed in the disc. All there is is the trailer. No Behind the Scenes Featurette and no Director's Commentary or Cast Commentary. Its great to see Sam Raimi get a great script and great cast to work with and it shows how underrated a director he is. Buy the DVD for the movie, I personally would love to see a special edition on this but I guess you have to be a overbudget blockbuster to do that. Billy Bob was robbed and Bill Paxton gives his best performance ever. A Simple Plan, this is a movie everyone should see!

Review: "A Simple Plan" could have been a truly great suspense movie and drama -- if it had only stayed true to the book. It seems weird to say it because the movie was written by the same man who wrote the book, but he had it right the first time. The movie never really lets you feel the full impact of just what the characters have done, and how far they will go, to keep the money. If you really want to see the depths the human spirit can sink to for money you should read the book.
