Review: Jack Nicholson, Lousie Fletcher and Brad Dourif, they give excellent perfomances in this film. Also a Great Cast also in this Dramatic Comedy.

Director is excellent making this cast work and the story haves funny moment and the sad,mad moment in this film. Winner of 5 academy awards inculding Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Apated Screenplay.

A Real Winner of the Seventies.

Summary: Brad Dourif rocks my world
Review: I don't need to gush over this film's greatness, that's been taken care of. What boggles my mind everytime I watch it (several times a year, every year) is how such a phenomenal performance by Brad Dourif was never followed up by anything even half as good - what happened to him? It seems similar to the Christopher Walken syndrome where a handful of subtle, in-depth performances (Deer Hunter, Brainstorm, etc.) are followed by a a career of mostly self-parodying, one-dimentional "weirdo" roles. After all these years I'still get blown away by his portrayal of Billy, it's disappointing there are no equal performances of his out there for me to savor.

Summary: Great movie, but DVD could have been done better
Review: This is a classic movie with no doubt. The DVD is poorly done. The picture and sound weren't even average and at times the transfer seems almost like VHS. The DVD has no extras on it, not even a tralior. If you like this movie, I would not buy it until a better version comes out.

Summary: An achievement - the best case yet for a 6 star rating
Review: This film may be in a class of its own. Nicholson is magnificent and he's surrounded by perhaps the best supporting cast possible. It's hard to tell if Nicholson is acting or just being Jack. Add to that exceptional perfomances by Louise Fletcher and others and it's a perfect formula for outstanding cinema. The film displays the cruel treatment of mental illness in old institutions as R.P. McMurphy (Nicholson) is committed for evaluation. Being more of a hell raiser than a mental patient, others in the ward find his behavior magnetic and almost theraputic. Easily one of the best films of the century, this is a "must see" for all. Bravo Jack! You've done outstanding stuff before and after Cuckoo's Nest, but this is still your best!

Summary: Nicholson is Brillant
Review: Excellant adaption of Ken Kesey's classic novel. Jack looks like he is having a blast playing R.P. MacMurphy, a con being examined for mental disturbance. Lousie Fletcher is great as the ever bitchy Nurse Ratched. Cool early appearances of Taxi buddies Danny DeVito and Christopher Lloyd. This is just a great movie. Very possibly the greatest movie I have ever seen.

Summary: talks about inhumanity disguised as compassion
Review: Very good, suspect dvd remastering though. What really disappointed me was that this film is missing footage from the original! In the scene towards the end, when McMurphy confronts the good Nurse, before he chokes her, he rips her dress/blouse pocket, exposing the nurse. This small scene was edited out of the dvd version and I cannot figure out why. Small deletion it may be, but i feel that the scene was meant to "expose" the nurse as an authoritarian figure hiding behind her uniform---thus the destruction of the uniform was all the more shocking. And not seen in this dvd....

Summary: A gem for the ages.
Review: This has always been one of my favorite movies, and having just watched it again confirms my opinion that this is one of the best films ever made. Could "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" be an example of truly flawless cinema? It seems that way to me. One of the most powerful and heart-wrenching films I've ever seen, and I've seen quite a few. A masterpiece for the ages.

Summary: The best performances and feeling for a movie ever
Review: The best performances and feeling for a movie ever, Jack Nicholson acts so good, and so do all the other patients too.

One of the best scenes is when Jack comes back from the bad treatment of the doctors, and he pretends that the doctors succeded to drug and destroy him totally.

Summary: One of the best film i have ever seen!
Review: One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest! I think this movie was great. I like it, because the charcters are "well-acted" especially by Jack Nicholson. Also the nurse's part is cast and acted extraordinarily by Luise Fletcher. The whole film is really entertaining. You can laugh, cry and enjoy. I have seen a lot of films, but this one is one of the best. Usually, I don't like films which are laid in mental hospitals, but movie is exciting. "One Flev over the Cuckoo's Nest" is a film which shows us the real life in such hospitals. I like that very much and so I recommend this movie to everyone. SEE IT!
