Review: i frist saw this movie in 1993 in the thearter and liked it. i now own but dont like it as much its one of the thriller that dosent seem thrill after repeted views like say the sixth sense does.I think that both mac and elijah did good macauly proved that he can play something besides the bacsic kid role. i think it would be more scary if there roles had flpi flped and eljah was the bad one. the only really bad performance in it is mac sister quinn she just kind of said he lines with out any feeing not that she had that big of a part any how. but hats probaly why this was her onl ymovie apperance.

Review: The Good Son has got to be the zeinith of Macaulay Culkin's movie career.It was easy to see him as a young adult and not a 12 year old.I went to see it many times at the theater and rented many times when released.

Review: "The Good Son" was released on September 24,1993. I saw it six times in the theatre, and then it stopped playing in December a few days before Christmas, and I had to wait for its video release in March 1994. Well, since I saw it six times in the theatre, obviously you can tell what kind of review I am giving this. THE BEST SUSPENSE MOVIE EVER! Macaulay Culkin is an absolute genius actor. And Elijah Wood as his co-star does great too. But strangely, I thought Culkin was FUNNY in this movie! I laughed as he did all those rotten things, when he shot that stupid dog I was cracking up, the ten car pile up, everything was funny. Though I have seen the movie almost 200 times, I ALWAYS get to the edge of my seat at the end, even though I know what is going to happen. You know originally Jesse Bradford was supposed to play Culkin's role, but 20th Century Fox was forced to drop him and put Culkin in the lead. Great idea, it may have been inconvenient for the filmakers to postpone the project to fit Mac's schedule, but it was REALLY well worth it. If Mac was not in this and Jesse Bradford was instead, I would not have liked this that much. When Mac does return to the movies, he and Elijah Wood should team up again for another project, they make a perfect team. (Sort of like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan). Mac, you rule!Advice to readers: If you liked this movie, also check out "Mikey"-- it is exactly like this movie, exact same plot. Brian Bonsall puts in a performance as a psychotic kid just about as good as Mac.

Review: This movie is a movie I shall watch again and again! Drama, suspense, emotions, and manipulatve psychology keep you guessing and speculating to the very end! The music was just as moving as the movie! Rich melodies and beautiful harmonies left me dumbfounded. The piano, along with the accompaniment of the orchestra make an exceptionally appropriate partnership in a movie such as this one!
