Summary: Last result, is not 'Final Destination'
Review: When Alex(Devon Sawa) and his senior class board a plane heading for Paris, they dont expect for the plane to explode. But when Alex has a wild premonition and immediatley gets thrown off the plane with four other peers and teacher, the plane takes off, and to their worse fears explodes. Now Alex is starting to notice a plan after two of the survivors are killed in mysterious ways, were we ment to get off that plane? Who knew buses, water, fire, and a bottle of vodka could be so scary? Trying to find out how to stop the dying, Alex, Clear(Aly Larter), and Carter(Kerr Smith) must be careful of where they step and how they drive, because death, NEVER takes no for an answer. Final Destination was one of the most suspence filled horror films I have seen in awhile. James Wong takes his X-File knowledge to the test, using everyday things, and making them look like Jason Vorhees. Just make sure next time you cross the street, to look both ways!!!

Summary: Not Good at All
Review: The movie starts out well enough, but as it goes along it gets more contrived. The plot is ok, but the acting and script were terrible. Stifler from American Pie was completely miscast. If you enjoy Teen Horror films, this wont disappoint, but if you want something as well written as Scream, which wasnt that well written anyway, you are looking at the wrong move. The cheesy lines were awful, but it kept me laughing because of it. Rent if you want to see it.

Summary: Quite entertaining for a horrible movie
Review: I've got a soft spot in my heart for certain B-grade flicks, the ones that somehow realize they're bad and yet aspire to be more. They fail miserably, of course, but it's fun to see them try. Bad dialogue, bad acting, and a ridiculous plot should never add up to something entertaining, yet sometimes, by some miracle they do. That's how we get guilty pleasures.

"Final Destination" is just this type of film. The writers try to set up a debate on determinism versus free will and end up with some real howlers. Emotions are shown with a clenched face and too many uses of the f-word. Male lead Devon Sawa in particular is way too earnest in his portrayal of the precognitive high-schooler Alex, whose predictions get 7 people off a doomed plane and land them at the top of Death's list. And you would think Death would do better than to copy slasher boogeymen, but you would be wrong.

But director James Wong and his cinematographers seem to understand it's all a sick joke (with, by the way, one hell of a punchline in the final second). A filmic McGyver, Wong seems to relish turning cups of vodka, computer monitors, and dishtowels into instruments of over-the-top carnage. He's content to get by on style alone, which doesn't make for an award-winning movie, or even a good one. It does provide a couple hours of entertainment for those in the right frame of mind, though, and sometimes that's all that matters.

Summary: Scary!! Beware!!
Review: The two men who wrote this film used to write for "the x files",so being the ultimate nerd/obsessed fan of the show, I had to see it. I must say I was very impressed and quite scared. If you enjoy the tv show, you will love the film! :)

Summary: Not the best movie in the world, but it's still good.
Review: I went to see this movie back in March and from the trailer I knew it would be a movie that would make people want to go see it. I was right, the theater was packed. The movies starts off great with the plane crash and you know what happens next they get off and the plane explodes. I heard people say that as the movie goes on it goes downhill after the first death or two. Yes I agree with you on that one, the deaths does get a little ridiculous at times but I don't think it brought the entertainment down. It still keeps you on the edge of your seat till the very end. Plus I think the ending was a good ending for this type of movie. It keeps it open for a sequel which is good just in case this one does good. This is one of those movies that will have people talking about it after they leave the theater and overall it's worth watching without expecting a masterpiece.

Summary: James Wong would make John Carpenter afraid to fly...
Review: Fine direction, editing, acting, and story make this film different from other teen slasher flicks.

The premise, young student on his way to Paris on a class trip sees forshadowing of horrible in flight disaster... Being thrown off the plane (with select others), only to find his vision become a reality. Here's where the film begins. Isn't it really their time to die too? Can they cheat death?

With having seen so many horror films in my lifetime, this one really was full of frights, jumps and jolts.

The dream/plane crash scene was so intense it one day should studied in film school like the classic shower scene in PSYCHO.

Ranks with some of the best of 'em. Don't miss it!

Summary: terrifying!
Review: I have never been so on the edge of my seat as much as i was while watching this movie....when it was finished, I felt pain in my hands and looking down I realized all of my fingernails were gone and I am not joking. This was the scariest film I have ever seen. I found myself yelling at the screen and screaming in terror, and I being a horror freak who has seen much worse. THe subject of death however is one that scares me and this movie was designed to scare....I seriously do not understand how people could not enjoy this movie...it was great and one I totally recommend....this DVD is a keeper!

Summary: Not your typical slasher flic....
Review: Devon Sawa has a dream (or a psychic warning) that the plane that he and his high school graduation class, are taking to Paris is going to crash. Sawa flips out and causes he and some of his fellow class mates to be removed from the plane.

The plane explodes shortly after take off, and Sawa falls under suspicion, of causing the crash, but that's the least of his worries. It appears that death don't like to be cheated, and comes back to claim the lives of the spare student's.

Final Destination is an effective thriller, with a really original story. With movie's like Scream, and your typical slasher horror film's of today, Final Destination stands out as a breath of fresh air, but still tends to fall in the slasher genre of today.

Final Destination's strong point is in the fact that we never see death coming, until it's to late. Sawa tries hard to thwart death's eventual design but fails on almost every turn, and that element alone gives the movie a sense of doom, that few films have, but the movie almost collapses under it's own weight in the last 20 min, as Sawa's love intrest and survivor of the crash is finally stalked by death, and we are left with nothing more than a electrical light show.

Never the less Final Destination is worth watching, and probably buying, because of it's still fresh and truely frightning story.
