Review: A great movie that shows the ups and downs of a band that wants to make it big. The ending adds the twist which makes the sequel somewhat interesting. They have the kind of songs you grow up to and know all the words. This movie, as far as I'm aware, is a cult classic that never was. Another nice bonus, the soundtrack rocks and is still available!!!!

Review: Captures real feeling of the times and the music at the jersey shore in the 60's.First rate performances by a solid cast. Music was excellent for a retrospective score.The script and direction well paced and clear.This movie stands the test of time. Your review by tom keogh is mean spirited and unrealistic. He seems upset this was not citizen kane.

Review: Eddie & the Cruisers, well lets see the first time i saw this move i was blown away. I love it, i bought the movie and after about three months i had to throw it away. i wore it out trust me you will love it too.

Review: I discovered Eddie and the Cruisers when I was Six years old and now 10 years later I'm still hooked. I Think that the sound track is the best of any movie and since it's recent rerealease the only complaint I have about it is that the song Tender Years is no where to be found. Summary: A rockin good time
Review: Eddie and the cruisers is by for the best music drama I have seen. I have worn out my origional copy and have had to buy a new one. I don't know what the reviwers are smoking. I do recal On the Dark Side a number one hit as well as the movie it self grossing more than 30 million. With a great soundtrack and a wonderfull cast. This movie has been in my family for over a decade and has been enjoyed by everyone we have shared it with. It will keep you guessing until the final scene

Summary: BRINGS BACK PERSONAL ON-SITE MEMORIES
Review: I am of the era, location, and personal relation to the movie. I am past 60yrs but remember it well. I spent part of my summers at the location, Somers Point, N.J. The band played at TONYMART'S and the Owner "Tony" was a friend and neighbor of mine. His home (large) was next to the bar and my home (small) was next to his. In one scene of the movie, where the band is practicing on the porch roof I can see Tony's and my house in the back ground. When I first saw the movie (by Accident !) I was jolted by the scene and the flood of great memories of TONYMARTS and the music and the crowds and the performers and the years goneby... The movie is very realistic to the time,location andfeel of the era. I believe it is well acted with great music and will also bring a nostalgic sigh to anyone of that time! (of course I am Biased!) .................
