Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST ROMANTIC STORIES EVER!!!!!! Review: From the first time I saw this movie I was in love with it. The story weaves from past to present so fluently you can almost imagine that Scott and Elizabeth's lives are running simultaneously. It is definately a four tissue movie. This is a must see for all who believe in true love and destiny. Enjoy!!!!
Rating: Summary: A wonderful love story!! Review: I have always had a soft spot for a good love story and this one certainly fits the bill. Campbell Scott is fantastic! Turn out the lights, light a few candles and lose yourself in a very romantic tale!!!
Rating: Summary: A VERY TENDER LOVE STORY Review: What a lovely story and how touching it was, especially the scene on the stairs. It was very poignant! And what beautiful green eyes Campbell Scott. He's a doll! I also enjoyed the Gettysburg scenes being a big Civil War buff. I think I might watch it again tonight!
Rating: Summary: We need help! Review: My wife and I watched this movie on a taped, delayed basis today. The tape turned off as the two stars were leaving the cemetery with the dog. What happened next or was that the end?
Rating: Summary: "I yearn for a love that burns like fire...." Review: "I yearn for a love that burns like fire..." those are the words of Elizabeth Whitcomb who spills her soul to her true love who supposedly does not exist. However, across the threads of time, her true soul mate hears her words through her century old letter. This amazing story will renew your faith in love.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding movie . . . surreal romanticism. Review: I've watched this romantic "chick-flick" twice, and I'm a guy! That should be enough of a review to recommend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Just perhaps the greatest love story of them all Review: My wife and I watched this movie and did nothing but smile at each other as we watched. It was absolutely wonderful. The actors were fabulous and it touches the heart as few other movies can. I cannot get it out of my mind and the ending was out of this world. At the end they, at last, have each other in their youth after a treacherous tortuous frustrating trip of over l30+ years. The writer, Mr. Finney, in this story is a genius without peer. This movie is a masterpiece and I cannot help but believe that if all the American People could watch such an uplifting movie like this one that we would not have so much meaness going on. It really makes one feel good with tears of joy, stirrings of happiness and genuine satisfaction that a winding intriguing story ends in total victory for the characters and the viewers. I have no idea what kind of award this movie could earn but it deserves the highest acolades for a thousand traits that warm the human heart and make one feel so totally happy.
Rating: Summary: I thought this movie was great. Review: I loved this movie, and was happy to find it on tape. I was dismayed to only see it twice, except for one thing: Scottie seemed like a jerk sometimes. Who knows, might have been the coma, but especially after that, he seemed kind of secretive and selfish.
Rating: Summary: My wife and I love this movie Review: Okay, so I'm a mushy kind of guy. I don't play with dolls or anything but hey, I've got a heart. We watched this tonight on TNT and I was so fristrated with the commercials because I wanted to see what happened next. A VERY original storyline and well acted by all actors/actresses, especially the serious Campbell Scott, George C Scott's son. If you like him in this, also see The Spanish Prisoner. Anyway, I'm buying this today on Amazon because I like it so much, it needs to be a part of our special library of movies.
Rating: Summary: Sentimental and understanding of time Review: I thought the movie was wonderful. It was romantic without being too overbearing. Overall, it is a beautiful movie. It made me believe that it really is possible to converse with those in history.
