Summary: GLENN CLOSE PORTRAYED ONE OF THE SCARIEST VILLAINS.
Review: "Fatal Attraction" moves from an infidelity anecdote to a psychological thriller in a blink from an eye thanks to Glenn Close's magnificent performance. You can really hate the character of Alex Forrester, however the only victims are Dan Gallagher's wife Beth, and their little daughter Ellen.

One of the biggest successes of "Fatal Attraction" is the fact that the movie doesn't justifies Dan's infidelity, the plot doesn't make him neither an innocent victim nor a martyr. "Fatal Attraction" shows that all our actions will have a consequence, and Dan Gallagher (Michael Douglas) is as guilty as Alex.

"Fatal Attraction" is one of the most popular films of the 1980's decade, and brought fame to the careers of Michael Douglas and Glenn Close, thanks to her excellent performance.

Review: One of the best thrillers of all time! You'll be glued to the screen to see what Glen Close will do next. She plays a psycho stalker and plays it well. Micheal Dougles gives a unforgettable performance you don't wanta miss.
Out of the two endings they picked the right one it's more of an intense and gripping ending even though the original is more realistic, I was glad they used the ending they did , even if Glen Close was'nt happy with it. Get the DVD to see what i mean
Watch this movie and than you'll think twice of sleeping around , so keep your eyes peeled and Enjoy.

Summary: Fatal Attraction (1987)
Review: Superb suspense flick has Michael Douglas as a man whose one night stand with a woman (Glenn Close) turns into a deadly nightmare when he wants to end the relationship with her and go back to his wife and daughter. Close begins a deadly rampage and will stop at nothing to get Douglas to herself...even if it means murder or suicide to herself. Excellent performances from Close, Douglas and Anne Archer, and wonderfully creative direction and photography. The script is real and believable, which makes the movie all the more frightening. Some very steamy scenes like the kitchen scene and the elevator scene also make this film a wildly enjoyable experience. "Fatal Attraction" definitly deserves its fame and acceptance into film history.

Summary: Glenn Close is really, truly scary in this one
Review: What superb casting. Director Adrian Lyne has crafted a not-your-average stalker/thriller that gathered six Academy Award nominations. The dialogue of this freaky and progressively scarier and scarier film rings absolutely true, and terrific acting keep everything together and viewers on the edge of their seats. It all starts with a quickie, a weekend fling by Michael Douglas. He's over it in a couple of days, but SHE is NOT. She's mad enough to...well, mad enough to boil a bunny, the film's 2nd most gripping scene. Watch it yourself to learn what the MOST gripping scene is.
Yowtch! It's a good one.

Summary: Still holds up years later
Review: Fatal Attraction is one 80s film that still holds up. It is still suspenseful, still provocative and most importantly, still entertaining.

Much of this comes from the fact that Adrian Lyne was the perfect director for this film about a lawyer (Michael Douglas) who has a regretful one-night stand when his wife is away for the weekend. His directing is subtle, intimate and character-based (except for the Friday the 13th-type slasher ending which caters more to audience expectations rather than character motivations).

All lead actors are well-cast, particularly the underrated Glenn Close as Alex, the troubled one-night stand who becomes increasingly psychotic. Close plays Alex as a human, not simply a villain; a complex women with psychological problems and who is socially isolated.

The DVD extras are excellent including the several insightful documentaries on the making of the film, but more interesting is the alternate ending. It is easy to understand why the original ending was scrapped; it's dull and anti-climatic. The reshot ending, aka "the bathroom confrontation" may be too violent and conventional, but it is more satisfying than the original ending. It is the perfect example of how art and commerce collide and whether either can win in the end, or only one is the victor. You decide.

Summary: Great movie, poor DVD transfer
Review: A movie probably everyone has seen. The Special Edition DVD boasts some excellent features, but the important thing of all is the film which has been poorly let down in the transfer department by Paramount. No restoration has been done at all, so we are left with a film that has grain, specks and softness throughout. Also, at the top of many scenes are distorted ie. the picture is not vertical. I am sure there is a proper technical term for this! Anyway, Paramount have spent no time cleaning this print up, or even doing a quality assurance check before issuing it.
Saved by the fantastic features though which include the alternate ending which test audiences disapproved of - yet it is a more convicing ending that the one we all know and love. Also contained on the DVD is rehearsal footage - absolute pure gold for fans.

Summary: Happy Days!!
Review: Hi my name is claire, i bought this flick the other day and it blew me away, was fantastic, had me on the edge of my seat all the way through, very exciting film. I watched it with my girlfriend treasa who loved it just as much, especially the rudey parts, the legs akimbo scene springs to mind, but we'd highly recommend it to all, a classic and must see. We'd also recommend getting wendigo if the video store has a 2 for 1 deal going. Laters

Summary: Wow!
Review: This movie makes you realize the importance of staying with your mate because you might just end up with some quack who's idea of revenge is cooking your pet bunny. Michael Douglas plays Dan Gallagher, a married lawyer who sends his family on a vacation. He stays home and at a party, meets Alex Forest, wonderfully played by Glenn Close, a young lawyer who immediatly falls in love with him after a one night stand. He breaks the affair and soon Alex is lovesick and angry. He refuses to see her and take her phone calls so she starts taking more inteligent matters by kidnapping their son and cooking their pet bunny. Its a great movie and if you watch it, dont have affairs. You might end up with Alex.

Summary: Fatal Attraction
Review: "Fatal Attraction" was a box office smash in 1987. It is an intense psychological thriller with excellent performances by Michael Douglas, Glenn Close, and Anne Archer. Douglas plays the role of a man (Dan Gallagher) who's uneventful married life with Anne Archer leaves him vulnerable to an intense affair with business colleague, Alex (Close).

Initially, Alex comes across as an independent woman looking for no more than a brief affair with no strings attached. Once the reality sets in that the affair is over, she becomes jealous and angry. Gradually her anger drives her into madness as she stalks her lover and his family. Viewers may disagree as to whether Dan deserves his fate or not, but most would agree that this film will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Nominated for six Academy Awards, "Fatal Attraction" is worth watching more than once.
