Rating: Summary: Not reall worth the wait Review: The worst thing about buying an unseen DVD is that you usually get what you paid for. With this film I was truly disspointed. The charaters were wooden just as was the dialog. I was hoping for a movie that was not one of those that left me feeling like what the heck did I just watch. The ending was truly laughable. Before wasting your money I suggest that anyone wanting to purchase this movie view a free copy first
Rating: Summary: Buy this DVD if your desperate to look at half naked men Review: Think of this movie as a "Boys in the Band" for the early 21st Century. But I don't mean that in a good way. This movie is ridden with gay cliche characters. Everyone in the movie seems to be an eight searching for a ten and no one seems to have any depth or even likeability. Although a couple characters are pleasant to look at, do yourself a favor and buy a porn movie. You'll see better looking guys and you can turn the volume down.
Rating: Summary: Buy this DVD if your desperate to look at half naked men Review: This film looks like a high-budget film-not low-budget independent film. The characters are very believable and the story strikes a nerve with me and many of my gay male friends. I think we have all met people like the folks in this film. We often ARE the people in this film, although we may not want to admit it. I guess the most important thing to consider when buying a film is whether or not it is entertaining enough to keep on the shelf. "All The Rage" is definitely a good time and will also stimulate some great conversation. I'm glad I own it. It's a keeper.

Rating: Summary: Cute guys! Cute story! Cute setting! Worth a look! (Spoilers Review: This is a "cute" and entertaining film. It has a wide range of gay characters making it easy to find at least one character with whom one can identify. It has a decent plot although I found the "Psycho" ending abrupt and unsatisfying. I think Chris was ready to settle down, and Stu was the right guy to settle him. Stu should have given him a second chance. My first-hand knowledge of things gay is pretty limited, but I think this film did an excellent job of portraying the "lifestyle"--its pros as well as its cons.
Rating: Summary: See it, but know that it has problems Review: This movie IS poorly acted and put together, but it's unique in its subject matter, and I think that makes it worth seeing. This is supposedly a satire of the shallowness of certain types of gays who are rich, overly groomed and superficial. It follows one guy, a shallow heartbreaker, as he falls in love with someone not of his "class." A HUGE problem is the acting. I felt that a lot of the lines would have been funny if the actors could have sold them well. With a satire like this, the actors need to go at lines like "Are you telling me you dated someone who doesn't work out?" with absolutre sincerity, but what we get is a sort of "I'm just an actor, I'm not really like this, see" kind of irony. It kills the entire script. Lines that were funny when I read them in a review are absolutely flat on screen. One gets the impression the director asked his friends to be in the movie, and the result is the slightly embarrassed feeling of watching community theater. Thematically, the movie is VERY tame. It doesn't really go far in satirizing its characters, and ends up in some ways reinforcing their viewpoints. A character who is not rich and doesn't work out is seen as SO DIFFERENT it's SHOCKING that our main character would even BE SEEN with him! So much for embracing diversity, huh? Near the end our protagonist is upbraided for not calling a guy when he said he would and basically being a playboy. Did he say he was a virgin and that they would be married? The effect one leaves the theater with is oe of those superficial types saying (and we've all heard it) "Oh I'm so superficial, it's awful" when you know they don't really mean it and won't change. I was curious to see WHO would go to see this movie, and was disappointed to see it's the very audience the movie pretends to criticize. They seemed absolutely unfazed. But the fact that this movie DOES examine these attitudes at all I think makes it worth a viewing. It's one of those that's better to talk about than to sit through. And, if you're attracted to those kinds of hairless chiseled body types, there is ample chest on display... though if you're seeing the film for that reason, anything it has to say, I suspect, would be irrelevant to you.
Rating: Summary: Just plain mean Review: This movie starts out as a romantic comedy and then does a 180 in the last ten minutes. The movie turns into a really bad drama complete with a performance worthy of a true drama queen. The ending is just plain mean to the viewer!
Rating: Summary: All The Rage - dvd Review: Very disappointing. Advertising and reviews led me to believe it would be fantastic. Would not recommend buying.
