Summary: A heart warming love story
Review: This is one of the finnest movies that I have ever seen, it contains the billance of Forest Gump and the heart of Casablanca. If you are the guy who wants to impress your girl and show her that you got a sensitive side, get the movie. City of Angels gives the most important lesson that many of us never learn until the end, it is that cherish the moments of life because they will never come again. Another aspect that this movie reveals is that oppoisites do attract. And to all the singles out there the ladies man suggests this video to bring the romance together.

Summary: Move Over Benning And Beatty; Ryan and Cage Are The Ones!
Review: This movie is great I have watched it over 8 times. If you weren't a Cage or Ryan fan before you will be now! I would normally call this a chick flick but my boyfriend cried!!! If you cry easy bring out the tissues. These two set fireworks like you rarely see in a movie. Don't think about renting, buy it! You will find yourself sitting down to watch it at least once every two or three months.

Review: After seeing this film once I had to see it again and to date have wathced it 4 times. Each time I have been touched with many deep emotions! Each time I watched this film was like the first time as there were new feelings & emotions brought to MY surface. Like being deeply In Love, each time was like the First time! The entire cast and effects were exceptional! I'd watch it again and again just to remember/experience how TRUE LOVE FEELS, GIVES, LIVES! A Must See!

Review: This movie was absolutly great. I've watched it like a million times I'ts origanal. Theres not many movies you can say that about. I loved how that movie was so not predictable. It just makes you cry all the way through it, and even the other million times you watch it. Nick and Meg make the perfect match in the movie they could not of found anyone better to portray the Angel in the movie threw out the movie you just hope he turns human, and that end ahhh it's awful, of course noone likes the ending but i still have to say they could not of done a better job! It's the best movie i have ever seen and i do recommend if you have not seen it to go out right now and buy it you will not regret doing so. I just want to say that Nick Cage is the greatest actor and that you can tell every thing he is thinking in that movie just threw his eyes and that is a great quality in a great actor I so give this movie the highest rating a movie can get and Please if you have not seen it Go WATCH IT!!! You will LOVE IT...

Summary: City of Angels is a piece of heaven itself...
Review: How can nobody like "City Of Angels?" I have never seen a movie so touching, so beautifully done, well scripted and acted as the aformentioned film. It's a tragedy to the human race that people might hate this film. Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan did superb performances, getting right into the characters themselves. The whole idea of angels in trenchcoats, always among us... it's heartlifting as well as mildly freaky. I have never cried so hard in my life after watching this film. A romance that is sure to make your heart pitter patter in delight, and pound with unshed tears, City of Angels is well worth the money.

Summary: Ryan and Cage Make Beautiful Music Together!
Review: Meg Ryan, always perfect, creates a vigil of epic permanence in this sentimental drama of one that doesn't believe so much so she makes an Angel fall in love with her. Cage, in a role as magical as Moonstruck, is simply irresistible in this film as Seth "Plate". He is a guardian angel that finds untimely, or maybe timely, romance with the incredibly poised Ryan. In fact, I found the duo better than the Hanks-Ryan pairing in You've Got Mail. Believable, magical, surreal, and Angelic! Summary: The worst remake ever?
Review: Well, perhaps not as bad as the Mel Brooks's remake of TO BE OR NOT TO BE, but close. There have been instances in the past of superb Hollywood or European remakes of classic films orginally made in another country. THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN wasn't as awesome as SEVEN SAMURAI, but it was quite decent. And A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS might have been better than YOJIMBO. Unfortunately, this movie is a horrible travesty of WINGS OF DESIRE. One of the most painful, excruciating movie viewing experiences of my life. While the reviews of CITY OF ANGELS here on Amazon have not been nearly as strong as those of WINGS OF DESIRE, I am still astonished that it has gotten as many good reviews as it has. My only explanation is that perhaps many of the people have not seen WINGS OF DESIRE, or are among those who are aesthetically allergic to movies with subtitles.

Summary: A BIT TOO ANGELIC FOR ME
Review: Great stuff and well donw, if you like sweet sentimental pics and first rate tear jerkers. I agree with a former viewer who says that Cage may have been the wrong casting choice. Meg Ryan, though, is near perfect in the role. I could do without Dennis Franz slobbering over food to show how human he has become.. But then, being uncouth has apparently become his forte. I do not believe the film holds up with repeated viewing except perhaps for the great extras on the DVD showing just how the picture was made.
