Summary: If Only More People Would "Pay It Forward"
Review: I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this video as I missed seeing it at the theatre when it was out. I had seen clips of the trailer and just KNEW this movie had substance. The movie will not only keep you riveted for the 123 minutes but it will stir your soul and start you thinking how you yourself can "Pay It Forward" in your life.

The movie introduces us to Trevor as he starts into one of those life changing stages in a young man's/lady's life....the 7th grade. Along with Trevor, we meet his 7th grade Social Studies teacher, Mr. Simonet. Mr. Simonet stretches the youth imaginations as far as they want to take them with elongating their vocabulary and then making an assignment for extra credit....to come up with a way to make an influence and better society.

Trevor's life thus far has been a hard one thus far with an alcoholic mother (Helen Hunt), an alcoholic and a living in the street grandmother (Angie Dickinson) and an alcoholic and abusive dad (Jon Bon Jovi). He takes Mr. Simonet's assignment to heart and starts diagramming his theory.

For each person, find three people to help out and "Pay It Forward". Don't pay a person back but extend to others the help or kindness you have been bestowed. We see how one little man's idea, spreads and how one person CAN make a difference in life.

I can't give away the ending but let's just say that I got so wrapped up in the movie and its message that I had to sit with the box of Posh Puff's. Rarely does a movie move me to this degree and further...thinking how I can myself "Pay It Forward" to make my little difference in life.

In this day of horrendous tragedy, I think this is a movie that every person should see and be moved by. We should all be not only united and helping our neighbor but we should be thinking of ways we can also "Pay It Forward" to overcome adversity.

I highly, highly recommend this one for purchase to your video library!

Summary: Pay this film forward
Review: I really can't say much about this movie except it is so GREAT! It is a GREAT movie with so much love and care for mankind.

Again Haley Joel Osment did a great job with his rich face expressions. This movie would have not been successfully emotional as it is without Haley Joel Osment and Kevin Spacey. Of course Helen Hunt did a good job as well.

The story is one of a kind. And we all shall pray that all governments and leaders in this world consider the plot of
this movie to call for peace instead of wars!

But as for now, we all must Pay this movie Forward to all our friends and beloved ones.

Summary: A Well Acted, Well Written Story
Review: I was a little hesitate to view this film as I thought it would be one of those sappy films with little plot and even less good acting. I AM PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! AND PLEASED! All of the actors in this film did a fantastic job. I have never felt like writing actors to tell them about their work but this one made me want to do just that. Kevin Spacey was outstanding, Helen Hunt was divine and Haley Joel Osment was superb. The supporting cast was terrific as well. A five star film if ever there was one!

Summary: A touching story that should be followed!
Review: This story line is so simple and basic, but we as a busy society forget these basic concepts. It was nice to be reminded and to see a touching story line. The end will surprise you... I did not give it a 5 star because the acting was poor, but good enough to get the point across. This is a great movie to buy and watch it over and over when we feel life is getting to tough. A basic concept... but "Pay it forward"! Enjoy

Summary: Worth Every Penny
Review: I borrowed Pay It Forward from a friend, and after viewing decided that I HAD to purchase it. The movie is a thought provocating tale. It makes you think and realize that little things you do CAN change peoples lives, and have a ripple effect on people you haven't met.

Summary: Writer in need of serious professional help
Review: Okay - so you have this great premise of making a movie where people do good deeds. And its billed as this great movie where people help each other and "pay it forward" (as opposed to pay it back) by helping someone else. The movie is really not about this fantastic concept. Instead, what it turns out to be is a docu-drama about how everyone in the world (or at least, everyone in this movie) is either a drunk, the abused victim of a drunk, or both. You see torture, neglect, denial, and everything else that you thought this movie wasn't. The pay-it-forward aspect is a sub-plot, and is really lost amongst all the depressing "life" going on. A complete WOMBAT (Waste Of Money, Brains, And Time).

Summary: A Morbid Mess
Review: The moral of "Pay it Forward" seems to be that generosity and human kindness shall be rewarded with unspeakable evil. Promoted as a revelatory "feel good" film, "Pay it Forward" is yet another heavy-handed, senselessly violent piece of Hollywood fluff. After enduring the truly morbid ending, I walked out of the theatre feeling angry and depressed. This film had so much potential, yet failed to deliver on all accounts. The ultimate downfall of "Pay it Forward" is its calculated, underlying mean-spiritness. Ironically, given the current political climate of our troubled world in late 2001, even the most shameless Hollywood huckster would probably think twice before releasing a film as vacant and morally twisted as "Pay it Forward". Truly a waste of time, money and talent (Spacey, Hunt and Osment are capable of so much better), I could not possibly recommend this dubious "message" film to anyone.

Summary: One of my favorite movies!!
Review: I really liked this movie. It really makes you want to help someone. Shocking ending.

Summary: This movie is terrible and horrible!
Review: I bought this movie cause I was told it was a good movie? I wish I didn't cause I feel I wasted my money on it! I couldn't take it back cause the store doesn't accept movies that are open cause people can make copies of them! Who would want to make a copy of this movie anyway! The acting is terible, except for Haley Joel Osment, He tries so hard with his part. That is the only good thing about the movie. The story about paying it forward. Several scenes in the prison could have been edited out and just way too much cussing and it totally ruined the movie for me!
What other terrible things can I say about this movie! That is why I am selling it on amazon.com and maybe somebody eles will like this horrible movie! Thank you!

Summary: Ignore All Critics!!!
Review: Please ignore all critics when deciding wether or not to see this film. It is one of the most heatfelt an intriguing films of the year with superb performanced by Kevin Spacey, Haley Joel Osment, and Helen Hunt. It's about a little boy who comes up with a plan to do one good deed for one person then they have to do good deeds for 3 more people and so and so on eventually making the world a better place. It's funny, sweet, and sad and is one of the best films of the year. Every actor is truly commited to their role and I have never seen Helen Hunt give such an outstanding, honest performance. Yes she was fantastic in As Good As It Gets but Oscar worthy..maybe not..this performance should have been nominated. I was very touched and moved and considering the events that have taken place in the world recenltly with the terroist attacks this is one film that will make you think and it may even get you to do a good deed for someone starting your very own Pay it Forward.
