Rating: Summary: Varsity Blues Review: This movie could possibly be the greatest movie ever made. It puts James Van Der Beek on the movie-star map and it also has Darcy Sears, possible the sexiest woman on the planet! This is the best football movie made right now. It blows Any Given Sunday out of the water! If you like football and beautiful women, I guarantee this movie won't disappoint!
Rating: Summary: A great comedy/drama! Van Der Beek, Voight are great! Review: This movie is a very accurate (maybe exaggerated a little) portrayal of High School football and has strong lead performance by James Van Der Beek of "Dawson's Creek" and a strong performance by Jon Voight as the evil coach. This movie also features a killer soundtrack featuring Green Day and the Foo Fighters. A MUST HAVE!
Rating: Summary: Have a blindfold and earmuffs handy . . . Review: This movie is really good as far as plot and acting goes but it's not for the see-no-evil types. My semi-conservative parents were horrified at the nudity and vulgar language-Even my 16 year old brother was embarrassed! Leave this movie for the high-schoolers and college students who are targeted in this film. It's enjoyable but not brain food. It could also promote irresponsible behavior in drug and alcohol use and sexual issues.
Rating: Summary: Ender's Awesome Review Review: Wow! This movie kicks! After I saw it and the credits started rolling, I just got up and rewound it to watch again! The girls are hot! The storyline is awesome! The characters are great! And the plot just hits you!
Rating: Summary: Great ! Review: I loved Varsity Blues. A classic football movie. My girlfriend even loved it. You will enjoy all of the characters and really despise one of them. Mox's little brother and his religious adventures is hilarious. The girls in the movie are hot! You have to see this one.
Rating: Summary: Varsity Blues kicks! Review: For all of you that have played competitive high school sports this is a must for your collection. Everything from football to cheerleaders is covered in this awesome movie. The music also rocks and is tied into the movie perfectly.
Rating: Summary: Best football movie ever! Review: Varsity Blues is one of the best football movies there is. James Van Der Beek played a great role as Mox, and Scott Cann was a wonderful Tweeder! The idea that they were able to get away with drinking beer and going to strip clubs, seems a bit unrealistic, but those parts also added to the movie's character. I totally reccomend this movie to anyone and everyone. Even if you don't like football this movie is one that you should see.
Rating: Summary: One of my all-time favorites! Review: I was an exchange student in the US in 97/98 and I just loved it! When I got back I started missing the US so bad. When I heard about Varsity Blues being available on DVD, I just had to buy that thing! (those jerks didn't even show it in Swiss theaters! ) And all I can say is that the only thing I really didn't like about this movie was that it only lasts for 104 min! I could be watching this thing all day! GREAT MOVIE! Better buy it!
Rating: Summary: A high shool football coach does anything to win a game. Review: A high school foot ball coach does anything to win a football game until he's team turn's on him. This coach would give his team steroid's to strengthen muscles to be able to play which was illegal. Winning was the onlt thing that matter to him and he could care less ablut his team just as long as they got the job done. I feel like no coach should ever put a high school team through this much stress. It is not right and unfair. If winning means that much to a coach then he should choose a different job. I think that it is not how many games you win or loss. It is all about how hard you play and if you do the very best you can do.
Rating: Summary: Best football movie ever! Review: This is the best football movie ever. The thing I like most is that the playing looks real. Some sports movies make the sports action look unrealistic, like you might see people missing tackles on purpose. All the actors were great but I didn't like it being in high school. I can't imagine a coach (or players) going through all that trouble over high school games. College would have been better.
