Review: I loved this movie. It was beautiful and down-to-earth. No smut or 4-letter words thrown around in every line. Just a nice family movie. I rated it a full tissue movie. I cried and cried. Being a musician the music touched my heart. Plan to buy it to have on my shelf.

Review: I think this is one of the best performances of Richard Dreyfuss' career (along with his role in "What About Bob?"). The story spans 30 years & tells how a high school music teacher affects the lives of his students. Excellent supporting cast. This movie will make you smile , laugh and cry!

Review: I enjoyed this movie. I was impressed with the realistic portrayal of how a family deals with finding out their child is Deaf. This aspect of the story was as interestng to me as the rest! It's a good movie the whole family can watch together.

Review: If you want to see a great movie, this is a great choice. Richard Dreyfuss is excellent along with a great cast. The story is great and trust me, it will make you laugh and cry. I thought that this was one of the best movie's that I've EVER seen.

Summary: Great movie with a flaw.
Review: This movies shows what great things ordinary people can do. Holland is very limited, but uses those limitations & strengths to the best of his abilities.Yet, I too have a problem with the ending. It seemed mildly defeatist. When government's give up on the arts are we all supposed to? That's pretty reflective of reality & I think that's why there's one voice of opposition to this film. Still to discredit the good in this film for the ending is a mistake. Also the ending reflects reality & maybe was supposed to make you say "Wait a minute, if they all care why do they nothing?".
