Summary: "Sweet November" Is One Sweet Movie!
Review: It's hard to imagine the premise of this film happening in real life...a young woman devotes an entire month of her life to helping the lives of complete strangers. Or, to put it mildly, she takes a new lover every month. Nelson (Keanu Reeves) is, at the start of the film, obsessed with one thing...himself. He's selfish, arrogant, and a workaholic. Sara (Charlize Theron) is a free spirit who decides that Nelson needs her "help." Over the course of the month, we see Nelson transformed into a lovesick sweetie (he even sings for Sara, and I was blown away...Keanu Reeves can sing, and sing well!) The month ends, but Nelson doesn't want the relationship to. He tries his hardest to win Sara over and make her forget about her "one month only" rule, but Sara has a secret that forces her to stick to her rule, and it's this secret that is the most devastating to Nelson. Keanu & Charlize are good together, and the film has some tender moments, but the end was a letdown for me. As far as Keanu's role goes, he seemed more comfortable in the role of laid-back nice guy instead of the arrogant person that he started out as. Of course, I will never have anything bad to say about him, as I worship the ground he walks on. Charlize gives a fine performance, as well. Frank Langella has a juicy bit part as a man who is so nasty and cold, it gave me chills, and he must have given Nelson the chills, too, because we see in his eyes a slight change as he sees in Langella what he doesn't want to become. Also, look for the lovely Lauren Graham (TV's "Gilmore Girls) as Nelson's girlfriend, Angelica. All in all, a very sweet, touching, and sad film with wonderful performances.

Review: I don't usually write reviews, cause my bad English, but here I go.
The story is good, interesting and nice to follow. Charlize's character is beautiful and well acted. I liked the plot a lot, and although some said the ending was bad, I really think it was a good ending, not the usual cliche (I won't write any spoiler, but you'll see)
I give the movie only 3 stars, cause I don't know what was wrong with the director, choosing Keanu Reeves for this story. This guy is good on action flicks only. He can't show ANY emotion, and what about his arm mannerisms? Is that acting? I can truly say that I saw so many of his "Bill & Ted Excellent Adventures" character that I was shocked.
Charlize did great though.
Good movie. But not better than "A Walk to Remember" Rent that one instead, really touching.

Summary: Charlize is sooooo annoying!!!
Review: Charlize tries to be a sweet girl but actually she is annoying in the movie, harassing peoples like that and convincing that she wants to help, playing a Polyanna role. Please! Keanu doesn't seems that terrible, actually I found him so normal, he got a life, she doesn't and try to convince him that he is abnormal. Besides, she dress like a homeless, those gloves, scarfs, really vulgar. What peoples saw in her to even consider her sexy? She is plain skinny, no curves. In the movie she sounds as annoying as the leading lady in Legally Blondie 2.

Summary: Horrible -- ZERO STARS
Review: This is an absolutely disgusting story about a sleazy woman who uses her illness as an excuse to have a new relationship with a different guy every month. Worse yet, the previous "boyfriends" hang around her house and walk in and grab coffee from her kitchen in the morning, walk in on her and Keanu in various intimate moments to have a conversation, and everyone acts like it's all just fine -- as if this ridiculous behavior is perfectly acceptable.
This film is a perfect example of how Hollywood is doing everything possible to once again make it seem like the behavior that the shallow producers, actors, directors, and the rest of the entertainment industry engage in regularly is not so bad. They can keep their sleaze and this movie. Don't buy this one.

Summary: Melanchony and Sad - but Reeves doesn't cut it
Review: Okay, I don't like romances or chick flicks, and I think that this movie, except for the successful tugs on the heartstrings was poorly done. Keanu Reeves is great in action films (i.e. The Matrix) specifically because he can't emote much. Seeing him as a tearful, sincere lover in Sweet November was less than credible. Charlize Theron is gorgeous as always but I don't think this movie tapped her acting talents. Character development wasn't nearly as good as it could've been. The movie isn't bad as a superficial movie that was good at tear-jerking antics (i.e. deathly ill woman in love with life, the puppy returned, etc.) Jason Isaacs is always an acting treat, and the ending mildly surprised me because I thought the dialogue between Chaz and Sara was setting Sara up for a change of heart. In spite of the flaws, this is a great sad movie if you're looking for an excuse to cry.

Review: Charlize Theron brings on her charm, and Keanu Reeves turns in a surprisingly worthy performance in "Sweet November," a movie that's as light as a fall breeze. Slammed by most critics as a soggy romance with no star chemistry, the movie's premise centers around two people who, through an unlikely series of events, fall in love, though not without hardship. Let it be known, the movie is not that bad. In fact, when put in comparison with movies like "Bounce" and "The Wedding Planner," "Sweet November" is actually kind of refreshing in it's own little way. Yes, the way in which the two develop their romance is a bit tough to swallow at first, but if you can ignore that and allow their growing relationship to touch your heart, then the movie succeeds on those terms. Keanu Reeves plays Nelson Moss, a man who is all work and no play (when leaving for work one morning, he tells his girlfriend, "I have a life, and I'm late for it") as a big ad executive. While taking a test at the DMV, he runs into Sara Deever, played by Charlize Theron, who gives him an answer and gets caught cheating. What does Sara do? She milks the situation for everything she can in order to get Nelson to her home. Her offer? To allow him to live in her house for a month, no more, no less, in order to help him get rid of all of his life's stresses and restrictions. She takes it to the extreme, too, giving his clothes to a homeless man, telling him he cannot go to work (he got fired, anyway), and taking him out into the town to show him the ways in which life can be fun. Like any movie relationship, there are complications. Sara is reluctant to reveal anything about her past or her family, or her reasons for taking in a new man each month. All she will reveal is what she does to help each one of them. Near the end, there will come a revelation that will put the stability of their bond in jeopardy. It seems preposterous, but with a movie like this, the events come in such an order that you can forgive these little pitfalls. Their budding romance really does have a kick to it, and despite the outside criticism, Theron and Reeves do have some good onscreen chemistry that lights up the screen in moments and provides for some very touching moments. The film also has a lot of warm-hearted laughs. A scene in which Sara stands outside Nelson's apartment and begins shouting risque comments at people in order to gain his attention will have you chuckling, while her neighbors, two homosexuals who host a dinner party for the four of them in drag, are a riot. And the overall sweet nature of the relationship between the two is something to smile about, as well as shed a few tears over. In one of his better roles, Keanu Reeves is convincingly emotional as Nelson. In the beginning, her perfectly portrays the egotistical attitude and outlook of his character, and then makes a very believable segue to someone who is so in love he is willing to change his whole life. Charlize Theron is, as always, a gem, bringing a touch of warmth and cheerfulness to her role as Sara. Her acting embodies her character with the zest for life needed to sell us on Sara's motives, and Theron captures that completely. While it's not on par with many other romances on the market, "Sweet November" is nowhere near as bad as critics have made it out to be. In fact, it's a charming movie that is very uplifting, due in part to the moving relationship that Reeves and Theron bring to their characters. It met all of my expectations, which were few, but the fact that it met them is enough to recommend the film.

Review: The best thing about this movie is that it finally got me out of my insomnia spell. It was stupid and boring at the begining and so it didn't hold my interest enough to stay awake through the rest of it. Don't rush out to watch this - that's for sure.

Summary: Sweet Agony
Review: As bad as the cover suggests, "Sweet November" is not really a movie but a long soap-opera episode featuring Keanu Reeves, Charlize Theron and a bland Enya soundtrack (yup, Enya. Sounds good, huh?). Essentially a cliched, tiresome and utterly tedious romance, this corny chick flick manages to deliver two or three decent scenes (mostly due to the solid Thero performance) and a lot of uninteresting tearjerker moments that drag endlessly. As entertainment this effort just falls flat, and as food for though it`s equally inane and useless. Nothing new or exciting here, I`m afraid, but I can`t say I`m surprised. Insipid and forgettable.
