Rating: Summary: Excellent movie Review: I saw this movie for the first time ever. I thought it was an excellent show. You really do not realize how it bothers kids to be picked on until you have watched this movie. It was so sad. this movie is deffinately worth buying and I hope that more schools would show this movie to students. It deffinately made me think about all of the kids that I have bullied. I give this movie 5 stars. Great job!
Rating: Summary: It's not whats in a kids heart that makes a kid dangerous. Review: I saw this movie when it was on showtime. It was awsome some people say it moved them, to be honest... I laughed. This isn't anything new I mean anyone hear of a little thing called Columbine. I did Trevors video ( the one in the meeting) as a class project, everyone was speachless. Kids are the most ruthless things. Things will never change because people dont care, at least not the ones that need to to change.
Rating: Summary: Incredible Movie Review: I've now seen this movie about 10 times. I am a high school teacher and show it to my class at the beginning of the semester. My students all LOVE it as much as I do. It is so realistic and touches so many students-we could discuss it for weeks. It's so rich with material to discuss-all parents and teenagers should watch it.
Rating: Summary: Everyone MUST see this movie Review: I've seen this movie many times. Each time I see it, it's just as powerful as the first time. This movie will truly touch you. It will give you a whole new outlook on what some students go through every single day of their life...I can definitely relate to the main character. I am always picked on and sometimes I feel violent, but I would never actually do anything to the people that make fun of me. This should be required viewing in schools! I want other people to see what I have to go through. I want them to see into the deep dark depths of my soul. Maybe people would actually learn to be considerate. Don't pass up this movie. It's a must-see for everyone!
Rating: Summary: A motivating film for sure Review: Rarely do films appear that move viewers to action. This one has indeed done this. Coupled with an amazing real life dramatic script which is available for royalty free download - this film brings sharp focus on the perils of high school life these days. Bullys, hazers, and angry teens - hidden in the shadows that often obscure what is really going on from adult eyes- although all is seen clearly by each teen - bullying is a far greater issue than most of us realize - As a high school educator - I am using this film to bring light to this issue - and then will produce the play in our school - This is a truly amazing, simple, and clear film that all teens should be encouraged to watch - its ultimate compassion and the changes that can result are inspiring. Absoultely WORTH IT!!!
Rating: Summary: Should be required viewing in all high schools. Review: There's somebody like this in every high school in America. This movie that somebody's story. In short it's a film about highschool violence and it's causes, giving serious thought as to what we're doing wrong in society with regards to it and also what we're simply not doing right. The film is not sensationalistic as I had guessed it would be. It's not violent - there are no deaths. If you're thinking of watching it as a means to excercise some demons and get off on watching highschoolers get blown away - well, maybe you need to see this movie more than anyone else. In all honesty that's part of the reason I first got it. It's unrated and it's about highschool violence. That's what I knew about it going into it. And boy was I surprised. Again, no violence - just honesty. Brutal, brutal honesty that I think the entire country could benefit from being exposed to. It'll make some people angry - pissed off at jocks (there's no avoiding that) however the larger message regarding cause an consequences is so well handled, and so well articulated that only the most obtuse viewers will miss it.
To anyone out there who has been pushed, or bullied or tormented day in and day out - this is your movie. It may not be perfect - no film ever will be. But's about as close as you're likely to see.
Rating: Summary: Vividly Real Review: This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I'm a high school student and I know these things in this movie are real, because it almost happened at my school. I think everyone should watch it because it makes you think about how the world feels to people who don't think they can fit in and belong. There are so many people like that. I know this all too well and I like that the movie showed that people can get out of those kind of situations and hopefully change for the better.
Rating: Summary: AMAZING Review: This is one of the best movies that I have seen. I still watch it and am blown away by how powerful this movie is. It is realistic in a way that I never thought possible and I love the way that it is shot. Going into this movie, I thought that the kids that were involved in school shootings were just messed up kids, after watching this movie, I can understand where they are coming from (not that it forgives it). I do think that every teenager should see this, if not the entire movie, then the video that Ben Foster's character makes and is shown to his parents, the administration, and police. I would give this movie 6 stars if I could, and I think that it is a movie that needs to be made more known.
Rating: Summary: Just... wow... Review: This is the sort of movie people NEED to watch. The first, and even second time I saw this movie, I had almost cried. I'm a high school student, sophomore right now, and I remember I used to go through that a lot. Parents, if you feel like you and your kid(s) got some distance between you and you ask them that dreaded question, "how was school?" and they don't answer back, watch this movie and you might be a step if not completely understanding your kid. And for those that take a shock after seeing this movie, welcome to real life. This is how it is. And goodness forbid that you're kid should be the bully who tries to act tough; we got too many inflated egos here, let's try to deflate them in a peaceful manner, eh? To even go further, kids, don't be afraid of your teacher. If your teacher's one of those few, cool ones that you get along with then talk to them. Also be careful of the crowd you may hang out with. If it's unavoidable, don't be a puppet/follower, be the puppeteer/leader and steer them in the wrong direction. If they try to steer you, leave and let the wolves wipe themselves out as Denzel said in Training Day.
Rating: Summary: Chilling and heartbreakingly true Review: This movie had me in tears. I feel it needs to be shown at the highschool I went to. While I was not picked on I witnessed so many things that are potrayed in this film. I knew kids who fantasized about killing way before Columbine happned, who imagined their own public suicides. In fact when Columbine happened I not only was horrified and sickened over those that were murdered but I also couldn't help but feel sorry for those that did the killing and shot themselves. Someone close to me was going through extreme torment at highschool and the injustice of the administration ignoring the problem can make you understand how people can go so far. With the combination of nihlism, bullying, and the over all obsession with violence this culture has it is not suprising that things like this happen. This film should be mandatory viewing in every highschool in America. Since I left highschool I fear things are only getting darker. Guns and bullies have always exsisted--something else is going on in society that is causing our children to capable of such violence...on both sides. Just look at Mepham High school...not too far from where i grew up. Rape is now added to the list of highschool torment. Sick Sick Sick.
