Summary: Save the Last Dance
Review: Save the Last Dance is to thumbs up and worth four starts for many reasons. It has a good story behind it. Also there are many happy and sad times during the movie. Towards the end all you can do is smile.
In other interviews from males comment that this movie is a chick flick because of the story behind it. The two major parts about this movie is Sarah becoming a dancer and she had fallen in love with Derek.
Also there was another interview from a guy that said he liked the movie because of the story behind. He comments that " this movie is not a chick flick. It's a movie that both male and female would like".
This movie is about this young girl that has a dream to be a professional dancer. So she decides to go apply for a performance arts college. The day on her audition her mother was on her way to go watch her and got in a wreck. Her mother ended up dying and she moved in with her father. Her father lived in the projects and she had to start all over in a different environment.
During the movie she tries to fit into an almost all African American school. Things were not going all that great until she found Derek. She started to hang out with him and then it turned into a boyfriend, girlfriend relationship. This is one reason why I think this movie was so great. It shows that it's ok to have a interracial relationship. Most people in our society think that it's different or not appropriate to have a interracial relationship. I think this is positive outlook on relationships.
Derek helps Sarah realize that she can't hold back on her opportunity to get into the college of her dreams because of her mothers death. So Derek gets Sarah to start dancing again. He starts to help her get her dance together for the tryouts. I think this makes the movie great. It shows people that they shouldn't stop following their dreams when things get bad. Its saying that no matter how hard times get keep you head up and keep going because you might pass up a great opportunity.
This is why I think Save the Last Dance is a great movie. It's positive movie that makes you realize that you can do whatever you have your heart set on.

Summary: This is a slammin' movie!
Review: I so love this movie. It's my second favorite movie behind Titanic. I just got this movie on VHS today, and I watched it when I got home. Of course, I saw it a few times before at my friends house that's how I fell in love with this movie. It's about a 17 year old girl named Sara, who is a ballet dancer but then her Mom gets in a car reck at the beginning and she stops for awhile on her ballet dancing. Then she has to move to her Dad's town in Chicago. Well anyways, I don't wanna give out the whole movie! So I recommend you buy this VHS movie today!!

Summary: Just not a good movie
Review: This movie, in my opinion, was boring. It had a lot of trash talk, no really good dancing, and a predictable ending. Julia Stiles was dull, but Sean Patrick Thomas was good, so if you like him watch it.

Summary: THE TRUTH BEHIND SAVE THE LAST DANCE
Review: While many people think this movie is based around DANCE it is not.Save the last dance is mainly based around prejudice as it shows the way people react and sometimes feel towards other races for instance when Derek is taking Sara to the Ballet and while on the train this white woman is giving them the most awful look as though she is horrified by the fact of a white person and a black person being together. Another example is when Dereks sister and ex-Girlfriend tell Sara she has no right taking all there black men and that there are two worlds out there the black and the white and that she should stick to her own race. This my veiw of this movie and i still recomend people see it as it is quite a dramatic movie which draws you in.

Summary: The Movie That Give's New Meanings To Relationship's
Review: I thought this Movie at First was going to be your tipicle "Dancing" Movie But it was not. It's about a Girl Who enter's a Enviroment that She thought she would Never Enter and when she Doe's She Cope's with it and Make's new friends, and while she is in this New Enviroment she wants to Re-Kendal her Passion, Dance. I just Love this Movie I do, Despite what some may say. So what if the People in this movie come from a Differnt backround and are different Racies, This Movie is about getting To Know Other People and who they are and where they Come from. I give this a Movie on a scale from 1 to 10 I give it a 100 for being a perfect Movie and telling the Good that Come's along with Getting to Know someone who has a Differnt Backround than your self. Like "Sarah Johnson" Did. and along the way she meets new friend's Like "Chenille" and "Diggy" and "Snook" and She Get's into a Relatioship with "Derek" and of Course with making Friend's they're come's enemy's as well, Sarah's Enemy was "Nikki" who still had the hot's for "Derek" and Protested that "Sarh" was not Right for him and that "Nikki" wanted "Derek" to Hook Back up with her. But that Did'nt happen. Anyways You Know what Im talking about. I like the Song "Murder She Wrote", I like the The Sound's and the Rythem it has. Get the The Soundtrack and you'll have one "Slammin" music Collection.

Summary: Nothing spectacular
Review: Sort of ho-hum. Too predictable. I don't care for Julia Stiles acting at all. Thomas was good as was his sister. I watched it with my teenaged daughter. My attention was held, but I found myself saying thank goodness when it was over.

Summary: GREAT MOVIE - a must-see for RnB/Hip Hop fans
Review: Save the Last Dance is a fantastically entertaining movie. Ultimately uplifting, the movie follows the story of 17-year-old Sara who is forced to move into a mainly African-American neighbourhood and struggles to fit in with the crowd. Her love of dancing was cast aside after her mother's death and Save the Last Dance is all about how one boy helped her to rediscover her passion and talent with a new edge.

This movie will have you laughing, crying and dancing with the loveable characters and the fun hip hop dance scenes. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is in need of some inspiration or to anyone with a lor of dance or music!
