Summary: This film was incredable.
Review: I deffintly encourage everyone to see this film. Its truely the best I have ever seen. In my opinion this movie can really make a difference in this world if everyone took the time to watch it. After the film was ofter everyone in the room was stairing at the screen for 40 minutes not saying a word. Theres just nothing to say afterwords... your just schocked. Its hard right not to even discribe it. Just please everyone, see this film. No one will regret it!!!

Summary: Rivetting, powerful
Review: Spectacular performance by Edward Norton, who plays a Neo-Nazi leader whose life is turned around by a 3-yr stent in prison. A superb example of how leadership can go awry, and direct misguided youth in the wrong way. The film does a tremendous job of delving into why certain youth are attracted to the skinhead culture - as such it provides a foundation that can be used to teach our young people about making choices, and making the right ones.

Summary: BRUTAL....
Review: Just seen this 2 days ago. My new favorite movie....extremly realistic. This will twist your emotions in knots. Most violent movie I've seen, not gory violent but realistic and brutally violent. A must see ending. I recomend this to everyone, kids should be required to watch this in high school.

Summary: Incredibly profound and stirring
Review: Whether you are prone to view disturbing, thought-provoking films or not, be courageous enough to put this one at the top of your list to see. The message is strong and devoid of any misinterpretations. Edward Norton is earth-shattering as a Neo-Nazi on a hate mission who discovers that all is not as it seems. Edward Furlong is wonderful as his younger , but impressionable brother who follows his lead. Hats off to Avery Brooks and Beverly D'Angelo for their stellar performances as a high school principal and a heart-sick mother who refuse to give up on these young people. Beautifully and poignantly directed by Tony Kaye, this movie will shake you to your inner-most core and stir your soul as well.

Summary: Edward Norton is the best actor of the decade!!!!!
Review: This is the best movie I have ever seen and I don't like many dramas.I never thought Edward Norton could have topped his performance in Primal Fear but he did with this dramatic look at a man faced with an inner conflict with himself as he tries to escape the beleifs and hatred of his old nazi friends without endangering his own family.

Summary: this movie is a indepth tragic soga of the street life.
Review: American History X is a movie that would only apply to younger audiences due to its language and mainstream violence. I couldn't get enough of this movie. It was constent action the whole way through. This movie greatly explains inercity ganges and the fight to get out with nothing but your life.

Summary: Not for the meek; powerful filmaking
Review: This movie has been described in this forum as "a must see for everyone." Not so; don't see this movie if you are easily offended by racial epithets, graphic violence, and a brutal prison rape scene. The vitriol spills off the screen and leaves you feeling dirty.

Having said that, this is an incredibly powerful movie. Each actor turns in career performances. Norton himself deserved an Oscar for his performance but I think the subject matter of this movie was too much for the Academy to embrace.

The scenes with Norton and Furlong bristle with energy. The love that these two brothers have for each other amid all of their hatred for others is deeply touching. Furlong's voice cracks as his character, Danny, upbraids his older brother and hero asking why he has changed. As Norton and the film tell the story of his transformation, the camera looks unflinchingly at the process.

The story ultimately deals with the process by which Norton's character, Derek Vinyard, finds redemption. It comes at a terrible price.

Summary: one of the most truthful movies ever made
Review: This movie is a must see, for all who wish to seek the truth on why people act the way they do. It is a well written and directed drama about the truth about racism. One of the best movies I have ever seen, and the best movie depicting racism I have ever seen.
