Review: This movie is great! I love the songs, the dances, the plot, the characters and the actors! Christian Bale is sooo cute! So is Gabriel Damon! And this movie can never get old! Summary: A little off historicaly, but right on for entertainment
Review: I'll grant you that there are faults with this film. The love story is irrelivent and not required. But it is not unrealistic, they meet, they flirt, they have one kiss. IT was the last thing left to make it your ultimate Disney feel good movie, so they threw it in to finish it off. It isn't historically correct. Everyone will admit to that, and it takes about thirty seconds to figure it out yourself. It's about as correct as The King and I, but The King and I didn't get as much flack as Newsies did for it's muddeling of the truth. The story of the movie runs a paralell to the truth, and that's good enough for me. As Jack himself says "I ain't lyin'. I'm just improving the truth a little." Which turns out to be an apt discription of the film. The rest of it is wonderful. The tunes are catchy and original (though the learics to some of the group songs are a tad idiotic) and stay in your head for weeks. The dialog, though dumbed down, is quick and entertaining. The "improvement of the truth" story (minus the week romance, or even with it) is intruiging, you end up loving the charachters. The dance numbers are extraordinary, some of the best I have seen in films to date. To top it off, the film is just bursting with energy. All of these strong atributes are enough to gloss over the flaws in the story line. In the end Newsies is more than just a good two hours, but a movie that you will watch again and again.

Summary: Newsies- a great movie
Review: Newsies is one of my favorite movies. It is very good. The acting is great. Robert Duvall convisingly plays Pulizer. Christian Bale and David Moscow, and are great as Jack Kelly(the strike leader) and David Jacobs his right hand man. The songs are great too. King of New York, Seize the Day are two of the songs in it that make the movie great.

Summary: Street Rats to Singing Stars!
Review: Newsies, in one word...WOW! With livley choreography, wonderful music, and amusing characters it is a baffling surprise that Newsies did not perform better in box offices. As a 17 year old one might think Newsies is a little to childish for me. I have grown up with this movie. It is so popular in my circle of friends that we find ourselves begging our music and drama teachers to let us perform it. Unbelievably, the movie was never scripted for public use so we must settle with the movie, soundtrack, and songbook. Newsies is a rare jewel in movies today. Never again will one find a more delightful family film. I give this 5 stars and my personal thumbs up. What are you waiting for? BUY IT!

Review: Newsies wasn't a big hit when it first came out but believe me, it is now! Everywhere you hear the voices of Newsies fans in the street selling the movie for Disney! We're carrying the banner for Disney because they have decided to stop producing the movie. Personally, I think that Newsies should be back on the big screen and back in the homes of America! The movie was amazing, talented boys, vocally, musically, and with dance, definately had me asking for more. There is no other movie that has ever had me begging for more! Rent it or buy it or watch it sometime soon! The music is amazing and so is the acting! It's absolutely wonderful! "Seize The Day!" "Carryin da bannah!"

Summary: Best music I have EVER heard in a musical!
Review: The score of "Newsies" is AMAZING. I am a very big fan of Broadway musicals, but no musical (no, not even Les Mis or Rent) has yet come close to the addictiveness of this music (and "Newsies" is only a video, it has never made it to the Great White Way). I had to buy both the cast album AND the sheet music for it because it is so amazing! The movie is frequently out of stock, but if you can get your hands on a copy you really, really should. You will not be disappointed!
