Review: Ok,This is probably really really biased becuase I love the book so much and the book is a lot better,and the movies are never as good as the books but it [is terrible] compared to the book.it has really really horrible casting for one.I'm sure it couldn't have been that hard to find charcters slightly similar to the ones in the book.It leaves out some really good dialogue and majpr parts of the book as well.

Review: Omg I LOVED the movie! It is now like my personal fav. And the book is awesome too. And Dally is totally hot in the movie. If you are reading this right now then I suggest you go buy it or rent it now and while you're at it go buy a box of tissues cause this movie is so sad but so good at the same time. This is a movie for the whole family to watch cause S.E. Hinton is a genuis. I mean the girl wrote it when she was 16. She totally deserves a lot of credit and hey she's even in the movie. That is just so cool to be in your own movie. I cry every time I see the movie or read the book... This is the best movie ever so go out there and see. And it's even cooler because it's got a young Tom Cruise, young Matt Dillion (who is Dally)Rob Lowe, Ralph Macchio, C. Thomas Howell, Emilo Esteves, and Patrick Swayze. Which all do a terrific job as playing the greasers. Well I'm out. And remember The Outsiders ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: This excellent film is my all-time favorite. The struggles, triumphs and tragedies of a group of under-priveleged teenagers and young adults is beautifully chronicled. C. Thomas Howell plays Ponyboy, an intelligent and sensitive young man who struggles to find his way in an often violent and chaotic world. Along the way there is action, suspense, moving drama and a strong romantic undercurrent between Ponyboy and Cherry, a gorgeous young lady played by Diane Lane. It is very true to the book it is based on, which is also excellent. The cinematography and musical score are without equal. It will make you you laugh, weep and think all at the same time.

Review: I love this movie - if only for the fantastic cast, this would be a great movie. But when you combine it with the storyline of "The Outsiders" - one of the finest coming-of-age and class tensions novels ever written, and by a 16 year old at that - you get an unforgettable movie. See it if only for young Tom Cruise and Matt Dillon (who are super in their roles as tough Steve and hoodlum Dally). If you like movies like "West Side Story" and have read S.E. Hinton, this is the movie for you. But please read the book first!

Review: This was a very good movie.The great cast includes Patrick swayze, Tom Cruise,Ralph Maccio,C. Thomas Howell,Matt Dillon,Rob Lowe,and Emilio Esteves.They all do a great job expecially Ralph Maccio and C. Thomas Howell. This movie contains some mild language but still has a PG rating so its a great movie, that can be viewed by all ages. I suggest if you want to rent or buy a good movie that the whole family can watch, i suggest you get The Outsiders.

hard to relate to, but I read the
book and now I have a greater understanding
of what it is like on the "other" side. And this
guy, Conner is EXACTLY like ponyboy it was ALMOST

Review: What an amasing film and book. I read the book first in english and thought it was exellent. then i saw the film and thought it was just as good. I thought they should added more to the film (it was too short for my liking). It makes me cry every time when i read and watch 'The Outsiders'. The actors did a brill job, especially C Thomas Howell. You must see it!!!!!!!
