Summary: I. think there was something wrong with the DVD!
Review: Attempted to watch this on DVD, but it never started properly.

All we could access was a semi-documentary about two low-energy (read no-energy) individuals who OH-SO-SLOWLY start to distrust each other since the male half of the "dynamic" duo (and I use dynamic in it's un-purest form) seemed to have been posest by a "jelly-fish wanna-be audio-morph intent on building silly airplanes".

This went on for about 110 minutes too long, which leads me to believe that they couldn't fit the movie on the DVD also. Too bad, I was really looking forward to this one.

Summary: This film was a letdown.
Review: The Astronaut's Wife should have been better than it was. It seemed to be quite promising for almost its entire duration, but the ending wasn't satisfying in my opinion. Thinking back, this film reminded me a bit of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (though not as good). The Astronaut's Wife basically puts a carrot in front of your face for almost two hours; then when you're finally given the carrot, it ends up that it wasn't even tasty or worth the time. I didn't even feel uneasy viewing the scenes that were obviously supposed to be scary. As for the acting, I can't say anything negative--it was okay. The special effects were not bad either for what it's worth. But to be honest, no matter how well you decorate a movie, if it doesn't have a well-written story, the rest doesn't matter. I admit that I never got bored with the Astronaut's Wife. It kept my interest enough to view it in its entirety. I just think the main problem was the poor ending; everything else up until then was not that bad. Some people may enjoy this movie, but I found it to be disappointing. This film was between risky and satisfying. I actually give it 2.5 stars.

Summary: If you're a Depp fan...
Review: If you enjoy Johnny Depp, this is a must see as he seems to carry the movie. Theron handled the emotional scenes well, but as a whole, it needed character depth and a coherent plot. The reason I gave it 2 stars as there is no violence, limited use of profanity, and only one embarrassing sex scene.

Summary: Good acting film.
Review: Johnny Deep has died in space, then a life force take his body and his memory. Nasa lost contact for two minutes and in space with the another astronaut contact them back.

His goal to make his wife pregant and he need his own kind to make a space ship from their design.

Slow moving film but every boring, good performances from Deep and Charlize Theron.

I rate this film 3½ Stars.

Summary: Find another movie to waste time on
Review: The movie trailers pretty much covered everything that there was to see in this movie. The premise is not much different from the dozens of already made movies about aliens and mating season. The actor's performance left a lot to be desired. There was no chemistry and no magic. The writing was poor and the filmmaking was just a notch above amateurish. I highly recommend you pick up something else even if you like Depp - this will be a huge disappointment.

Summary: Made for TV?
Review: The movie seemed like an extended, somewhat glossier version of an Outer Limits episode. Not that bad but not enough substance for a full length movie. Pretty predictable. And then there those obvious references to an older, classic horror film....The location? Ms. Theron's hairstyle? I must agree that this is THE worst film I've ever seen Mr. Depp be part of! If you're in the mood for an OK TV show, you won't be too disappointed.

Summary: A complete waste of time
Review: This movie didn't do a thing for me, the plot was stupid, no special effects, and wooden acting. It adds up to truly one of the worst movies I've ever seen!

Summary: Houston, Hollywood's got a problem.
Review: I guess I expected something of a bigger story, and a much more profound one at that. Unfortunately, Depp's character doesn't come close to rescuing the script. You gotta be a genuine, die-hard sci-fi fan to get into this one. For those of you giving up on Johnny, give him another chance with the Jim Jarsmuch film "Dead Man". Check out those reviews.

Summary: Every bit as exciting as its title...
Review: Rarely have I seen so many relentlessy arty shots in support of so little story. Ashamed to be reprising the cruddy little 50's sci-fi flick "I Married a Monster from Outer Space", the director apparently decided to remake "Rosemary's Baby" instead -- but he succeeds only in proving what a thin line there is between the sinister and the absurd.

Summary: HORROR?
Review: What can I say? There are so many good horror movies out, so why bother with this one? The acting was horrible, the plot was terrible. This movie was full of suspense, though, I couldn't wait till it was over.
