Summary: Wonderful!!!!!!!!
Review: I love this movie. Most people think that it is a "chick flick" but I know a lot of guys that love the movie. One of my guy friends even made me an ever after t-shirt because he knew how much I liked the movie. If you have seen the movie and love it then you should get the soundtrack. It even has the song during the credits. It is a movie that you can laugh, cry, get mad at the caracters, and even maybe believe.

Summary: Excellent! Charming and refreshing!
Review: A terrific, charmingly realistic adaptation of the loved fairytale- full of timeless magic! The film will not only delight audiences of all ages, it will especially touch the hearts of young women. Daniel finds an inner strength and light that all women seek within themselves to empower them throughout life's journey. And besides, everyone loves a happy ending once in a while!

Summary: In my top-ten!
Review: I saw Ever After a few days ago and have been crazy about it ever since. Drew Barrymore is beautiful but yet stands up for herself, and Dougray Scott is handsome but not snobbery as Danielle says. Both together are great and I love the fact that the 'bad guys' get dumped in the end. TWO THUMBS UP!

Summary: Beautiful Love Story
Review: How romantic is this story, it is so touching. Eventhough Drew was a lowly servant girl he couldn't help but fall in love with her and he was a total babe, ok! but anyway in all it made me laugh, cry, happy, upset, this movie was altogether a emotional roller coaster a way a movie should be! and this is not just a movie for the girls, because my cousin Brandin loves this movie and there is nothing wrong with himbut in all it was an excellent movie it was so good i bought the tape!

Summary: I hate romantic comedies...
Review: ...but I loved this movie. I suppose it's not strictly a romantic comedy, but romance is at the center of it. Maybe that's so appealing because this movie turns all the fairytale cliches around; this time it's the handsome prince who's stuck, and the girl who saves the day, instead of the other way around. This makes for some great comic moments, as well as a little light gender commentary.

The supporting cast is excellent. Anjelica Huston is just fabulous as the evil stepmother, Timothy West and Judy Parfitt are great as the befuddled king and queen wondering what to do about their rebellious son, Patrick Godfrey is charming as Leonardo da Vinci, and Richard O'Brien (you know, the guy responsible for Rocky Horror?) is deliciously evil as Pierre le Pieu.

However, it's Drew Barrymore as Danielle who steals the show, proving handily that she can carry a movie. Dougray Scott is admittedly adorable as the somewhat clueless prince, fortunately acquiring the clue that the rest of the cast have been attempting to pound into his head for the entire film by the end.

It's a cute movie, and for once I mean that in the most complimentary sense.

Summary: Drew Barrymore plays a great Cinderella
Review: I think this was a cool movie though,I haven't watched it in a while.I hated the step sisters!Drew Barrymore was a great Cinderella and looked perfect in the dress she wore to the dance.

Summary: A beautiful re-telling of a classic.
Review: All of the actors in Ever After were well chosen for their respective characters. The development of the characters stayed true to their written natures, none strayed off from their path. The movie was well written in that "Cinderella" is not beholden nor sujugated by "Prince Charming." She is a strong willed character who is capable of saving herself. Thereby making the love story even stronger. I never see movies like this; but I am glad I did. It is a wonderful, sweet, film. The cinematography is breathtakingly beautifully, the actors all fit their roles. It is a rarity to feel good after a film because all of its parts: actors, scenery, dialogue, plot, storyline, etc. work. This film does. Bravo.

Summary: Simply wonderful
Review: If you like Drew Barrymore you will love this movie. Since the time is gone that she played the "bad girl" (I don't like this movies) I think this is maybe her best, even as good as my personal favorite "Mad Love".

Summary: "Ever After" was a lovely story.
Review: I rented "Ever After" from the local library and watched it twice. I instantly fell in love with the story and I am charmed by the fact that when Prince Henry found out that Danielle was a servant girl he found out was true love was.

Summary: "Ever After": Best Film of 1998
Review: Okay, I'll admit "Private Ryan" was pretty powerful, but who can bare to watch it more than once (ladies) or twice (men)? "Ever After", on the other hand, has the charm, fabulous performances, rich story, and humor to appeal to men, women and children alike. It's a timeless telling of the well-known Cinderella fairytale, told with clever humor and some great twists. My husband, who loathes "chick-flicks", gave it his personal "thumbs up". Upon viewing the video w/ my girlfriend who has a BA in French and minored in French History (in other words, extremely discriminating), she suddenly declared in the middle of film "I HAVE to own this movie!". As it is, everyone I know owns this film. I am just sorry I never saw it in theatre. It received fine accolades by critics, but poor advertising. Do see "Ever After" on video. In fact, don't waste $3 renting it--just buy it. Chances are you will, anyway! It has everything--fabulous acting by Huston and Barrymore, wonderful romance via a handsome Prince (Dougray Scott, bestill my heart!), great music, wit, and spirit. One of my personal favorites of all time!
