Summary: Cute movie, deffinately "For Keeps"
Review: I really enjoyed For Keeps, Although I am only 13, I think that it really showed what teen life would be like quite well. I thought it was an extremely cute love story, and I would love to watch it again many more times in the future.

Summary: Wow!
Review: I saw this movie after seeing stuff like "Pretty in Pink" and "Sixteen Candles" and was pleasantly surprised. Seems it was made after Molly was sort of growing up a bit - she probably wanted to do something for teens, only a little more serious.

The young couple were really very sweet, and I could relate to it - the way that tough times do test love, once the innocent feelings of romance are harshly knocked out of the way by the urgent realities of life.

But of course, when it came to the crunch, love conquered all. Cynics may find that unrealistic, but you gotta remember, every now and then, even on earth, young love can last! Awwwww...

Summary: Cute movie, deffinately "For Keeps"
Review: In "For Keeps" Molly Ringwald plays a high school senior who gets pregnant. Her high hopes of becoming a writer are dashed, and she is thrown into a world that is completely unlike her. She and her boyfriend (Randall Batkinoff) get married, move into a cramped apartment, she drops out of school and then goes back to night school all while trying to deal with her pregnancy and the pressure of both of their parents. Both of their parents have shunned them, and they are all alone. Her new husband finds that he has gotten into MIT, only to realize he cannot go at all. Both of their dreams of going onto college and leading successful lives are ruined, yet they manage to stay together through thick and thin.

If only most guys were like Randall Batkinoff's character, who is possibly the sweetest and most loving of all of the romantic male roles in these movies. He truly loves her, and although she doesn't realize how much at first, she comes to know that his love is true and deep.

It really was an amazing story.

Summary: "For Keeps", as high school Parenting class curriculum
Review: Molly ringwald gives a genuine performance as the "popular" girl to whom this can happen, too. Good focus on the reactions of the parents, the alternatives available to a pregnant teen, and the maturity of the ultimate life decisions made by the two main characters. The changes that Darcy and Stan must make to the course of their lives to accommodate a baby are thought-provoking. Suggested lesson plan: Give students the opportunity to be screen-writers by assigning a short essay: "How I would end the movie differently." Sexual situations,(no skin) some profanity. Appropriate for Juniors & Seniors.

Summary: Sweet story about consequences and sticking it out
Review: Nice film. Molly Ringwald delivers as do her costars. What happens when two highly ambitious, smart teenagers do the unthinkable and get pregnant??? Yes, that's the question. Nice look at how far you will go for love, what really matters, and how to work things out. Some nice realism regarding pregnancy and its aftermath. Entertaining.

Summary: GREAT MOVIE...REALISTIC AND I LOVED IT!!
Review: The first time I saw this movie, I knew I had to buy it, I loved it! I read the previous reviews and how they call it unrealistic, well let me tell you it can happen like this! Happened to me, and my husband and I have been together 8 years! Got together like this when we were 17, I really related to the storyline and how everyone thinks you won't stay together because of age, pregnancy, well there are a few of us out there that CAN!! This movie proves it, I highly reccommend it, plus RANDALL BATINKOFF sure is a cutie!! 5 stars!!

Summary: Not Like Any Other Molly Ringwald Movie You've Seen!
Review: This is not a typical brat pack movie. 80's music doesn't blare in the background, there isn't a group of characters that seem to stay together in films. But, it's just as good as all of the other brat pack movies. There is only one brat pack member, and one is all it needs- Molly Ringwald.
Molly plays a high school senior named Darcy who is in love. Her boyfriend, Stan is played by Randall Batinkoff. Even though he is not a popular actor, he really shows talent in this film. When a night of passion in the rain leads to Darcy getting pregnant, they are faced with an important decision. Her mom says abortion, his parents say adoption. Stan and Marcy say "we're keeping it". When they are shunned from the family, they are forced to grow up quickly- marriage, jobs, bills and putting off college are all things this couple go through in the name of love. But will this love for eachother be enough to keep their family together?
This is a serious movie that looks at teenage pregnancy. It's not intended to be used as a brochure, but just as a fictional "what-if". Molly Ringwald really shows true talent in this movie, dealing with more than just missed birthdays and a day of dentention. Although this film was made in the mix of the other 80's cult flicks, this one sticks out as a source of seeing the true talent that Molly has.

Summary: A Must See Movie
Review: This movie along with Pretty in Pink are my favorite Molly Ringwald movies. I have seen it any times & yes I would watch it again. It shows what can & does happen to many teens today. What I liked most about this movie is that this couple did not take the easy way out like many young ones do today & that reguardless of the cards stacked against them they make a life for themselves & for their baby as well. Now if only this would come out on DVD....Hint...Hint....LOL
